Big toe and 4th toe are bleeding
Lory P.

The people there where nice, but do not go there. It is 2 days later and I am still in pain and my paint is coming off my toe edges because they didn't apply a topcoat. It looks like a home job. These worst was being cut so many times. The older lady there had trouble seeing what she was doing and cut me at while trimming my toe cuticles she cut them down to the quick on both toes and nails -- they look awful and have been throbbing and bleeding for two days. I have never had a more painful experience and sadly I was preparing for a wedding. I can't walk in the shoes so have to switch to sandals.

Acrylic manicure nail art Happy Nails gel nail polish
Ellen M.

I just got a pair of beautiful acrylic nails done by Miley. I highly recommend an appointment with her. She is super sweet and really talented. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she did it perfectly. I've seen designs she's done on other people's nails and they are very good. All my nail shapes are even. I got gel and there were no bubbles. Absolutely perfect. Definitely check her out. Totally worth it. I feel like a princess.

Shellac mani well done!
Maria B.

I got a Shellac manicure and my husband a pedi. We both left happy with the quality of the job done. I would still not rate this place higher cause they seem not to really respect appointments (we made one, but still had to wait about 25 mins to get the service). Plus the instruments were "sanitized" with alcohol, which doesn't seem very reliable. Though we didn't have any probs with parking like others mentioned. Update: 10 days later - not a single chip on my mani! Awesome!

Bad
Susan S.

Worse mani pedi ever. She cut my finger and toe! She was using a clipper pulled out of her drawer, not wrapped or sitting in disinfectant. Sloppy polish, No top coat, little if any massage, no or crappy lotion. Never again

We love! The lady who did mine and my friends nails was very nice. Look how pretty!

The lady who did my friend and my nails did a really good job and was very nice! Look how pretty! Seems like there were regulars coming in and out of the salon nd they seemed happy and familiar with the workers. We loved.

My toes lookedbetter before this trainwreck.

I have been going here for a few years and usually have good service from the lady that works there named Linn. A couple weeks ago she asked if the man that works there could do it and I said that would be fine, as he did my pedicure she played on her phone the entire time. So it wasn't a matter of being too busy. See the pics below for the results. When I complained about what an utter mess he made of my feet, he apologized and said he would do it again... But I didn't have another 40 minutes. In fact it was the only time I had all week to accomplish this. I was really disappointed that not only was I not valued as a customer, but that my time wasn't valued. When I waved him down so I could tell him I was unhappy, he motioned for me to wait a moment and he stepped out to smoke a cigarette..by the time he came back I was fuming. I refused to pay him for the service and he followed me out to my car and demanded payment. I reluctantly paid and later called and talked to Mailee (owner?) And got her email address so I can send her pictures. This is her response: "Hi Sarah. I am so sincerely sorry about your pedicure that is a very horrible job I have to say myself. Please come back and I myself will personally do your pedicure and it's on me" I reminded her that it wasn't "on her" because I had already paid, and that I wanted my money back rather than step foot in that business again. I told her if she didn't send me a refund within two weeks I would post the pictures and my experience on yelp...I haven't heard a word. Since this happened I have looked at the reviews for this place and there is a common theme. The man that works there does a TERRIBLE job... Yet they still allowed him to waste my time and money. Completely unacceptable customer service. So as promised here are the pictures of my 40 minute pedicure.

You can see here the job he did on several of my toes. This is literally an hour after the job.

Completely terrible job. I had a pedicure and a gel polish change on my hands. I am left with polish smears on my toes and fingers. The gel polish is sticky and not shiny. The guy who did the job filed my nails at an angle instead of straight across so that each nail was slanted. Its like he didn't care at all and didn't want to be there. He painted only part if several of my toenails, it's so ridiculous. I had to ask for a file when he was done so I could file down the gel polish as he had left little snags on the tips of my finger nails. The whole place is dirty and worn. And, it was quite pricey for the crap job. I would NEVER go back.

Great job!! Very happy

Hannah is a charming nail tech and very professional! She came to the waiting area to collect me,…read moreoffered me water, and made sure I was comfortable in my chair. We chatted easily and she was very sweet natured and pleasant. The pedicure was perfection. She took time to carefully trim and prep my toenails and applied gel with ease and accuracy. I was wholly relaxed and pampered. The whole shop seems very comfortable and client focused. Stylists were upbeat and chatty with customers and each other. Five Star!

Overall, I had a good experience with Hair Fusion in the sense that my hair did turn out beautiful…read morein the end, but I wanted to share some constructive feedback about the appointment and the process it took to get there. I booked an updo for a wedding and, when I called to schedule, I specifically asked to be paired with someone who was experienced and comfortable doing formal/wedding updos. For context, the style I requested was a very classic, straightforward low bridal bun--the kind of elegant updo you see frequently in wedding inspiration photos. I wanted soft face-framing pieces in the front, a few twisted sections in the back, and the hair twisted and pinned around mesh hair padding that would serve as the foundation for the low bun. I brought multiple inspiration photos with me so there was a very clear visual of what I was hoping for. The beginning of the appointment was honestly the most concerning part for me. The stylist seemed unsure of how to approach the style and spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out how to build what I considered to be a fairly standard formal updo. The first attempt did not resemble my inspiration photos and did not look good, so I ultimately had to ask for it to be undone and started over. After that, I felt like I needed to closely monitor the rest of the appointment and give direction throughout the process to make sure we stayed on track with the photos I had provided. Because of that, I wasn't really able to relax and enjoy having my hair done before the wedding. The final result ended up being very pretty, but it took a significant amount of trial and error to get there. That was especially surprising because, when I made the appointment, I specifically asked to be paired with someone who was experienced with updos. Based on how uncertain the process felt at the beginning and how much guidance was needed along the way, the experience did not match what I expected after making that specific request. Thankfully, I had also brought my own mesh hair padding with me for the appointment. At one point, the stylist called over to the receptionist to ask whether the salon had any available. Before the receptionist could answer, I pulled out the padding I had brought, so I honestly do not know whether the salon had any in stock or not. Still, because the padding was an essential part of creating the particular updo shown in my inspiration photos, it made me wonder what the plan would have been if I had not happened to bring my own. For formal services booked in advance, I think it would be helpful to make sure the necessary styling supplies are available or to let clients know beforehand if there is anything they need to provide themselves. I completely understand that every stylist has areas where they are still growing, and I think additional experience or continuing education with classic formal and bridal styles would be very beneficial. My concern is less about the fact that the appointment took a long time and more about how much uncertainty there seemed to be with a relatively traditional low bridal bun. I also noticed that the salon seemed very lightly staffed that Saturday morning. When we arrived, there was only one stylist working, and we waited an uncomfortable amount of time before being greeted. By the time we left, I believe there were only around three stylists working in total. While I was there, several walk-ins also came through, and it seemed like there simply were not enough stylists available to accommodate the amount of people coming in. For a busy Saturday in Durango, that was surprising. Again, I was happy with how my hair looked when everything was finished, and I appreciate the effort that ultimately went into getting it there. The finished updo photographed beautifully and worked well for the wedding. I just think that with more training and experience in formal styling, stronger preparation for booked services, and perhaps additional staffing during busy weekends, the overall experience could be much more polished, confident, and relaxing for future clients.
