He was also very communicative about getting our project scheduled (BONUS: he was able to get us started sooner than originally planned). His crew is some of the nicest people too. My son was running a fever for the few days they were working on our yard and they asked about how he was doing each day (one gentleman even asked if he could pray over him which was so unexpected and nice). They are considerate of your space. At the end of each work day, they sweep up and consolidate their tools to one area so it doesn't feel like you're in a construction zone. The finished product is very polished and well done. When there were things I wanted adjusted or trimmed a little bit more, Josh was very agreeable and happy to oblige. And yes, I was that high maintenance client who had a request to add more flagstone AFTER they were done and they were so great to get a team out the next day to make that little addition. And how often does a project come in under budget?? Was nice to see that they are very precise in what they do. HIs team of landscapers were early, worked hard during sun and rain, and they took time to clean the sidewalks and streets every night before leaving. The estimate was well written and Joshua kept us up-to-date every day on the progress. We had old grass removed, and old cottonwood tree and roots removed, rocks cleaned and weed barrier replaced, bushes replaced, sprinklers replaced and metal edging added. The final product was better then we could have imagined. Denver Tree and Landscape is an outstanding business because of Joshua and his great team of employees. I've given Joe more than ample opportunity to fix this situation before writing this review. I'm a pretty considerate person and I understand the damage a bad review can do to a small business. But at a certain point, enough is enough. I initially hired Joe because I was impressed with his level of responsiveness and the price was right. He picked up the phone when I first called, came out to give me a bid the following day, and completed the job over the next week. But the responsiveness ended just about the second the check was in hand. Joe and his crew removed a concrete patio and added in a sidewalk and pad in my trash enclosure. The sidewalk was to be installed where a part of my sprinkler line ran, so Joe agreed to move the line forward and generously offered to do this for free. Hah. I was quite worried about the sprinkler line, because I have an enormous yard that is already more than I can handle. He assured me numerous times it wouldn't be a problem--even going so far as saying, "We are concrete guys. We definitely know how to move a few sprinkler heads." The patio and sidewalk initially looked great. But a few days later, one of Joe's guys came to remove the forms. He left several of the forms behind, and there were several areas where the concrete leaked through, leaving very messy edges on the sidewalk and patio. There was also a bunch of concrete waste and even a bunch of trash (soda bottles) they left behind. It looks like crap. I texted Joe to come out and remove the extra forms and to clean up the edges. He told me someone would be out that week. Here we are, two months later. . . The following week, my sprinkler guy came out to start the sprinklers for the season. THE LINE WAS NEVER MOVED. I have no idea if the line was removed, or if it is still active underneath the concrete sidewalk. I've now texted Joe several times and each time he has an excuse or tells me someone will be out to take care of it. The last time he told me his daughter was in the hospital. Maybe so--and I'm not unsympathetic, but we all have our stuff. I personally am a single parent with no family in the area, a demanding job, and a house that takes way more upkeep than I'd prefer. I now have my sprinkler guy coming out to see if he can fix the line. It's possible the whole sidewalk will have to come up, which may end up costing several (more) thousands of dollars. I'll be contacting the BBB and hopefully this review will prompt Joe to do the decent thing and fix this. In total, the job has (so far) cost $9500. The initial bid was for $8500 but the concrete removal was more difficult than initially anticipated. We will see how much more this will cost me, and I will be taking legal action to make sure the extra cost doesn't come out of my pocket.

But it's just word salad because no changes are being made except for sand being put over the mud hole. Sprinklers are still going off in the mornings making it difficult for dog walkers to walk their dogs. This company doesn't seem to care about customers only that they get paid. As I said the owners apology is nothing but word salad. He expects me to eat it and then still get wet while trying to walk my dog. He can keep his salad.
