At one point I was near death, remained bedridden for months and have stayed mostly"couch ridden" since March of 2010. I was finally diagnosed with POTS then Mast Cell Activation Disorder with severe multiple chemical sensitivity, among many other conditions. I've seen well over 100 doctors both traditional and alternative medicine in the past 6+ years. At one point I had Gastroparesis, was told a feeding tube wouldn't even help me, was hospitalized over 45 days without answers, had PTSD from severity of my symptoms when I first became ill and nearly died. I had lost 50lbs in 3 months time from malabsorption and my autonomic nervous system was a disaster! By the time I walked into Dr. Schulenberg's office I could eat only 10 foods for the past 2 1/2 years. Anything else would cause anaphylactic reactions. Everyday for the past 2 1/2 yrs I experienced head to toe itching, unexplainable by any doctor. I was unable to take any supplements, herbs, medications etc... without severe side effects and reactions. The list of issues goes on and on, basically I was very very ill. Within one month, I was able to eat 3x's more foods than I had in nearly 3 years! I'm now able to take supplements and herbs that my body needs but previously was unable to absorb them or they caused awful side effects. I'm sleeping better at night and have been able to reduce a highly addictive prescription drug used for sleep that I've taken since falling ill nearly 7 years ago. My digestion is working the way it is supposed to work and I'm able to go to church and to be in public without a mask to protect me from perfumes and other chemical sensitivities! I'm no longer secluded at home 24/7 and can walk longer and be around scents that I couldn't tolerate for more than a few seconds. I'm now 2 months into treatment and seeing more and more positive changes to my health and feeling more and more hopeful that I'll be well once again! Dr. Schulenberg and the Center for Holistic Healing has literally given me my life back to a level I had given up on not long ago! I have a long way to go but to think where I was two short months ago versus where I am now, it's a miracle!!! I can't say enough good things about the staff. The salt therapy room was a cool experience and I loved that they had Bluetooth speakers inside the cubicle. I tried their whole body vibration machine today which was a wierd but cool experience. Unexpected side effects. (read on!)…read more I was diagnosed with Acid reflux/GERD over 12 years ago. It has been a long journey. That journey included several different medications, increased dosages, all of which were temporary. They never resolved, only postponed. I then tried more natural remedies. I tried herbal teas, different forms of greens (powders, smoothies, etc), and supplements. In conjunction with avoiding certain foods, my reflux symptoms would resolve, however, only temporarily. I heard about Strong on Health from a friend. I was desperate for answers. After my initial consultation with Dustin Strong and sharing my health history/journey, he had a treatment plan specifically designed for me. He shared years of wisdom and insight to the underlying causes of my health issues. I had not found or learned any of this in all the research I had done, however, I just knew it was the missing piece to my health puzzle. I was nervous at first and just knew he was going to tell me all the things I was doing wrong and I was going to have to change my diet and eating habits drastically. He didn't!! He even told me that I could continue drinking coffee!! I was SHOCKED! I had been avoiding coffee for so long as it would irritate my stomach and then I would have to deal with the acid reflux. I did share with Dustin about being diagnosed with chronic dry eye before having lazik surgery for my astigmatism about 7 years ago. The eye doctor told me lazik would make my dry eye symptoms worse and would need eye drops for the rest of my life.
