My son is 21 months old, and not a daycare kid, so he doesn't have really any interaction with other kids his age, structure, or organized classes. We did the week-long trial, and although he was hesitant the entire time, he kept asking to go back, and would talk about it once he left. When i signed my son up for classes, i specifically asked if they dealt with children who have disabilities. They told me yes and i signed him up. When me an his father took him we were always on the floor with him because he has a hard time transitioning. Well recently he was asked to sit out of class for 5 minutes because he wasn't following the rules, this to me is not an issue, however when was excluded from the free play and his father told me that the instructor was with my son. I felt like I been lied to because if they couldn't handle a child with disabilities that should have been noted during his trial week. The owner was no help because my son has the unlimited pass and this incident happened on August 12 which means he has about two almost to 3 weeks left and I want my money back for the rest of the month since I was taking him out, and she tried to convince me that there was only one week left. She also noted that if there were problems with Tuesdays, then she could switch him to another class which meant she had knowledge of the situation that took place in her. And she felt as though this was the appropriate response to it. read more

We had the best time for my daughter's 2nd birthday. I'd give them six stars if I could! They had great communication leading up to the party so I knew what to expect and bring (which was really just balloons, drinks and cake). They led all the activities, served the pizza and cake, and kept the kids happy and entertained for 90 minutes. They had simple rules that kept everyone safe as well. My grandson Vincent and I have the best time at the My Gym Springfield !! We started last September and the growth I have seen in my grandson is amazing !! the gym is bright and colorful, so clean and absolutely safe !!! The staff is nothing short of amazing!! We joined My Gym over the winter and it has been the perfect activity for our daughter. She is turning 3 and has been attending classes since she was 2. The gym is the perfect size for the younger kids but still has enough to do for older kids. The equipment is safe, clean and entertaining. If you have a young child who loves to jump and climb this is a wonderful place for them to explore without saying "be careful" or "get down from there" 500 times a day. The staff is lovely and Ms. Cheryl (the owner) is friendly and helpful. You can tell she really loves being with kids. The classes are a great opportunity for my daughter to socialize and get light structure into her day while also burning off energy. I smile the whole time i am there because I love to watch her have so much SAFE fun and risk taking! We also like the practice and play classes because it is basically an open time for the kids to do whatever they want in the gym, with parental supervision. In addition to all of that they also have parents night out where you can drop the kiddos for 3 hours and know they will be ready for bedtime when they get home! Win win. read more

My daughter has been going to my gym since she was 6 months old. She is now 4 years old and she has had quite a journey at my gym. She has made friends, formed amazing relationships with the great teachers and has developed awesome physical abilities. We have been so impressed with our son's development as a direct result of classes at My Gym! My husband and I had concerns of our son being physically behind for his age and the exposure to a variety of equipment and sensory experiences have diminished all of our worries! We have seen a HUGE boost in his confidence as well as his physical strength and abilities. Can we talk about how cute and fun the classes are? Our son loves entering the gym and feels right at home. My Gym Springfield is my son's 2nd home. He's been going there for 3 1/2 years since he was a newborn. He just started independent classes. Over the past 3 years we've met a lot of kids and their parents! My son has made lifelong friends. Let me tell you all the good things about My Gym. First, it's very inclusive. I've seen a few kids with special needs attend classes with my son. (No one is ever singled out) They all blossomed in a few months just from being encouraged to try so many new activities and skills. I've also seen very shy children become more confident risk takers. It's also the place for the outgoing child who flips and climbs on everything at home to improve those skills! Second, although it's a gym class for young children, the 50 min classes are structured and based on a curriculum (with plenty of freeplay time) and tailored to fit each age group. Each class has skills that are taught. The skills are developmental and not just random. The instructor will identify the skills being targeted. My son was a preemie and had some motor skill delays innitially, but after being in My Gym for so long, he is very strong. I see the skills from gym being carried over into other activities he does! Cross training for preschool Third, the staff are very outgoing and you can tell they love working with young children! I trust them with my child. Fourth, free practice and play as long as you are a member. If you are able to take advantage of those times. And low cost special events to keep your child entertained outside of their regular gym class. They even have a preschool program where kids learn the basic abc's and 123's. During the summer they have half day camps for the preschool and up set. I've never hosted a birthday party here, but I did attend one. My son was 2 at the time. Party guests ranged from 1-12. Everyone had fun and we didn't feel rushed. The party hosts interacted with all the kids and even learned all their names (close to 20 kids!) If you want your toddler to tire themselves out so they take a nap or want an hour free from your preschooler this is the place. But, it is so much more. Your children are learning so many skills. While the place itself is pretty cool I was disappointed in the party I held there. For one it is not cheap and you only get 1.5 hours. They book multiple parties and they literally only leave maybe 15-20 minutes in between because when I arrived another party was still leaving and as I was leaving people were coming for the next. I felt rushed. One of the teachers seemed irritated to host us and multiple guests of mine brought it to my attention. They kept telling the kids they couldn't do such and such ... and I get it to an extent but come on they are kids you can't expect them to not want to have fun. I opted for the deluxe package that included various items and when I arrived they asked if I wanted them.... of course I did pay for them. They save the last half hour to do Pizza and cake for 20 kids.... not nearly enough time. All in all my son who turned two had a good time but what two year wouldn't in a place filled with balls and obstacles. I however left feeling like I had been cheated out of my money. We technically had an hour of play and I paid 450. I wish I had gone to another venue where my money would've gone further and the party would've lasted longer. How awkward telling my family and friends sorry we gotta go quickly ... as the next party glanced from the hallway. Also my sister said she had gone to a party at the cherry hill location and it was a much different experience.... but I won't look into my gym for another party read more

We decided to give My Gym a try when we found out they had a "Ninja Training Class" and my twin 6 year old girls are crazy into Ninjas (they even had a Ninja themed birthday party) plus your 1st class is free! I also have an 8 month boy so I tried an age appropriate class for him as well. The classes exceeded my expectations so we decided to join. The girls tell everyone about their Ninja training class and it's a great place for my 8 month old to move around and explore. We love that it's flexible and the classes are slightly different each week so it never gets boring. It's also extremely clean and everyone there is very friendly. Can't say enough about MyGym, we love it! My very shy daughter has blossomed tremendously from her almost 2 years at "Monkey Gym"! We've gone from parent/kid classes to ones on her own and her progress has been amazing. I get comments at school re: her coordination and athleticism, which I credit to MyGym. Ms Sheryl's ownership has improved an already great program, she often joins in classes and helps if kids need special attention. The staff is very well trained, caring and enthusiastic. We also had her 4th birthday party here and it was the best experience (thanks Ms Lattana & Ms Amanda)! It was packed with kids & parents but you wouldn't know it, the ladies were so helpful and handled everything seamlessly. They do the parties back to back to back and I was nervous about the setup and transition but I shouldn't have been, everything was very clean, we got lots of personal attention and any assistance we needed, without having to ask. When I first moved to Delco, I wanted the opportunity for my daughter (and myself lol) to make friends. I wasn't putting her in a daycare yet, and I worked during the day, so I needed something with night & weekend hours to match our schedule. I would definitely say I struck gold when we discovered My Gym in Springfield!!! There are so many reasons why, but here are my highlights. 1. The teachers and staff are top notch! We've been greeted with nothing but smiles from the beginning. Ms. Sheryl has also helped me figure so much out from scheduling, to which class was most appropriate for my daughter, and not once did I feel like I was inconveniencing or annoying her with my MANY, many questions haha. We always feel so welcomed and like family when we enter the My Gym doors. 2. My daughter has advanced soooo much with her motor and social skills. She's climbing and flipping all over the house, which is crazy, but all I can do is laugh & be proud of her!! She's made so many "forever friendships" because of My Gym. She even has a birthday buddy in her class! If we skip the gym for a few days, she'll start to mention the teachers' and kids' names and ask to go see them at My Gym. She also has developed her language so much and I think we can thank the wonderful teachers at My Gym for that! She's currently saying "Hi Nemo! Hi shark! Ahh shark! Swim away!" at the breakfast table, which she learned in her new class she only started a few weeks ago! To say I am absolutely blown away by My Gym is a complete understatement. I loved that it was private so my friends and family were able to relax and let the kids have fun. The staff was very nice and attentive. When my daughter turned about 20 months, I started to see what activities were in the area that we could together on a semi-regular basic. Often we would frequent the local library storytimes, but we were looking for something more that we could do together. Thankfully we found mygym through word of mouth and attended one of their open houses. We liked the vibe of the place, and I was happy that at the age she was, there were classes that parents could participate with their children, and have a safe space to run around. I like how the classes ease into getting more structured as the child gets older, and teaches important skills such as taking turns, listening to instruction, interacting with other children, sharing, and just simply getting an opportunity to play. My daughter when we started was a casual observer, she would watch everything and often hestitate and mostly decide against skill stations. During her time at the gym, she transition into a fearless, confident, empathetic individual, which I credit with her experience at the gym to spur this transformation. Around age of 3, I signed my daughter up for the preschool prep class, and she grew especially close to the teachers, and the students in her class. Having her attend a drop off preschool class I thought was going to be intially difficult for her; however, since she already knew the teachers, the environment, and some of the kids, it really eased the transition. We have enjoyed the instructors at MyGym, they are very passionate about their work, and they make everyone fell like part of a family, specifically Ms. Janel. I have had the pleasure to know Ms. Janel for the past 3 years, and she always brings her enthusiam and passion for work with her everyday, it is clear that she loves working with the kids. The gym has also transitioned to a new owner Ms. Sheryl, she has brought an additional level of enthusiam and passion to the environment, she has been great for MyGym. I have started my second daughter through classes to ensure she can learn the same skills my other daughters has received from attending. Going to MyGym has given my kids confident, friends, teachers, and fun memories. I highly recommend MyGym! read more
