I've had a great experience with myGym! There's a decent amount of class options through out the week (I have the unlimited plan and I'm available during the weekdays so the options may be limited if you work M-F), and my son has a blast every time. I'm also seeing progress when it comes to him listening and getting used to structure. The teachers are awesome, and seem to know every child's name, even when we haven't been in for a while. They seem very comfortable with the children, which in turn makes me more comfortable bringing my son. My favorite part is that the gym space is different every time! All the structures are always moved around and set up in different configurations. The classes are usually 50-60 min, starting with circle time and some exercises, different skill activities, open play, independent play and then a puppet show or something similar. Consistent enough to know what to expect, but with enough variations that you're not bored out of your mind. The my gym location is easy to miss if you've never been. It's sandwiched between a church and some type of fitness place. Right across the street from Hamilton Park (with lots of playground space in case your little one still has energy) and coffee shops/deli close by. Really nice area but parking can be a pain. I always give myself some extra time for that. I was able to pause my account for a month when we were out of town, so that was really convenient! read more

My Gym is a great place for the little ones to get out all the energy! The staff is really great with the kids. I also appreciate that they are skilled in working with children on the spectrum as well. This location is located in the basement of a church but the space is huge. Very open and play area is safely enclosed. I felt that some of the items in the play area could be bigger like the ball bit and slide but its enough to keep the kids busy and active. They also do parties even if you are not a member and the party room is huge. Check out their site for membership pricing. My son had a great time. read more

Worst birthday party experience. Do not bother thinking about doing your bday party there. The staff was terrible, inflexible, etc. it is extremely expensive for a below average experience. The experience makes me never want to enter a my gym ever again. I felt so extremely rushed! Worst worst experience ever. read more

My daughter absolutely loves my gym and the teachers are so loving and patient towards her. I have been sending her here since she was 1 and she's 3.5 now. She currently does the karate class and gymnastics classes. My daughter can be quite clingy but will absolutely detach to hang with them! Highly recommend! I also will add that the gym is super clean. read more

First, the positives. The instructors there are great. It's an excellent space. It's fun for kids and parents. Now, the negatives 1) - The website itself is not user-friendly. I think I could have designed a better website and I have no web-development experience 2) - The inflexibility. We enrolled our then infant daughter to help her with crawling, so she could practice this. While her/our experience there was fun, unfortunately the timing of the classes didn't align with her schedule on the weekends. Not the fault of MyGym, it just what it was. I asked about pausing our membership since the goal was to bring our now toddler back when her schedule would hopefully better align in the spring. I was okay paying a $5 monthly fee to pause the membership. What I wasn't good with was being charged the normal monthly $179 fee while the membership is paused. It makes no sense. And the non user-friendly website makes it difficult to pause the membership and understand the period of the paused membership. As a working parent, there is only so much complexity I can process when it comes to something like this. Surely, I am not the only parent having difficulty with aligning a schedule of an infant or toddler. I understand that they have a business to run and the $179 monthly charge is fair, provided your child's schedule aligns and you can go there at least once per week. Unfortunately, this ended up being a terrible customer service experience which will result in me canceling the membership. The operators of this space really could have a better understanding of flexibility and customer service. I would have been more than happy to continue with the membership, but their inflexibility has soured all the positives. read more

We've been attending the outdoors class held at the park with Mr Jahmaine and have really enjoyed them. Definitely a great alternative. He has been great at keeping the kids engaged, remembering who they are and keeping things clean and sanitized. Definitely recommend trying it out if you're not ready to commit to being indoors yet. read more

If your a parent of a child on the autism spectrum my advice is hard pass. Try we rock the spectrum in Paramus. This is my second time joining the gym - close to my home. I also thought maybe his age was a factor before...it's not. He isn't fully included in the classes. He just runs around - ignored. We attended a themed event where a group photo was taken - he was just left out rather than calling him over to join in ! Skip it. Our kids are often left out and made to feel like they are a nuisance - rather than pointing out what he needs to do or trying to connect with him. read more

The classes are great but the cancellation policy is horrible. I had to last minute sign my son up for daycare so he was no longer able to take day classes and the weekends were booked. I wound up paying for a whole month of classes which my son never attended. read more

After having my almost 14 month old daughter spend nearly a year at home, we are so grateful to finally introduce her to activities at My Gym. The staff is attentive, the covid protocols exceed my expectations and the classes are excellent with development. We started with a 2 week special trial price, and plan to continue as long as we're in the area. Special thanks to Sabrina who walked me through every question, and has been beyond helpful. We're so happy to be a My Gym family! read more

This is seriously the best option for kids in jersey city for getting endless fun and fitness activities. For 179$ per month you get unlimited classes of gymnastics, ninja training, ballet and karate with free play 4 times a week as a bonus. The instructors are amazing and so patient with the kids. They individually work with kids as well to tap their strengths. My 7 year old loves their classes and can never get enough of it. Thank you my gym for an amazing summer read more

First let me say the instructors are AMAZING! my daughter is super shy and especially after being home with us for a year and not much interaction with other kids, she really blossomed here due to the attention and care she received from each and every instructor at this location. That being said, I was a bit dissatisfied with their charges, particularly when I had to cancel. $179 per month is more than reasonable when she was able to attend daily, however once she started school in June, it was not worth it to only bring her on the weekends, especially since we found the Saturday classes to be way to crowded, especially during a pandemic. The date that my monthly renewal expires was June 25th. When I called to cancel, they told me that I could continue her to the 27th if I wanted so that she could attend one more weekend, and they would just pro-rate the charge for the two days. She didn't give me an amount over the phone, which I now realize I should have asked for, but I figured how much could it be for two more days...so I said ok. I ended up getting charged $89 for these two days! So they charged me half a month just to extend two days! When I tried to call to discuss this with someone, I never got a call back. I left multiple messages with no reply. In the past if I ever called for anything I always got a call back, and a follow up call a few days later making sure my issue was resolved. But this time, no call back. I guess they figured I was no longer a customer and they got all my money anyway. I was actually planning to buy my daughter a 10 pack of classes so that we could still take her on available weekends, since she loved it there so much, but after they did me dirty like this, I will take my daughter elsewhere. Maybe we will try My Little Gym as I heard that was just as good if not better in JC. read more

I can't say enough good things about My Gym! My son is only two months old and has been doing for a few weeks now. We both love it! The teachers are caring, knowledgeable, friendly and fun. Every week we do different activities so the kids get to work on different skills and never get bored. The individual attention is wonderful, and the group activities are playful. I love watching my son get better each week and learn to love the different activities. I'm so glad I found My Gym (we looked at another place as well but it didn't compare). The other parents there are all friendly and it's so nice to get to know other parents with babies. I look forward to many more classes at My Gym! read more

This place is truly amazing! My 6 year old son is non verbal autistic. We have tried Chelsea Piers and other places had a horrible experience! No group gyms would take my son because of his condition. My gym was so accepting and encouraging. We have been looking for a place like this for years and lucky we stumbled across this hidden gem. Thank you My Gym!!! More establishments could learn from your kind hearts! Amazing place for sensory seekers! read more

Worst birthday party experience ever!! One of their staff named Ray Rahim is an absolute obnoxious guy who was cursing in front of kids during the birthday party. He treated his guest including me as a client as a piece of shit over an incident described in an earlier post. He also happens to be the karate instructor and according to me has no training on how to behave in front of kids. He is completely unfit and probably dangerous to be around kids given his behavior that we all had to witnessed today. I wish if I had a video of his behavior that includes cursing in front of the kids. The video would have gone viral by now. Unfortunately, his indecent behavior has bought disgrace to this place; which should be a kid friendly place. If the owners of this franchise place, really care about safety of kids, please contact me and check the feed from your webcams first to see the behaviour of your staff. Update - I spoke with the owner and she was really apologetic on this incident. She informed that she fired Ray Rahim from mygym and she understands that these incidents brings disrepute to her businesss. To be clear, my complaint was against that staff member and not the mygym business. We appreciate the owner's quick action to rectify the situation and wish that these kind of incidents do not happen in the future. read more

I don't write reviews often but it is important for everyone to know my experience. My 3 year son picked up balloon weight from the table as he was anxious to take one of the balloon home. One of the in charge for the evening (a bald guy- not a gentleman) snatched it from him. I told him "sir he is just a child, he is not going to take your balloons and run away". To this he yelled at me, used "f***" in front of kids (2.5 - 5 years old), pointed finger at me, cursed me, fought with everyone around including the customer. I am never going to celebrate any bday party here. Be aware of this place if you care for your self request. They claim to be a place for kids and after this experience, I am not sure about this. read more

My kids absolutely love My Gym! It is by no means the most modern, but that really doesn't matter to me because they are 2 and 4 have so much fun together. Winter is pretty much here and I am beyond thrilled to have a place that I can bring both all week at the same time to play and bond as sibling. read more

We are not a regular at the gym but had our son's birthday party here. The event staffs were very helpful in setting up the place and in the gym making our little guy's day extra special with organized activities and free plays in between. Kids around 4 definitely need some structures even when they are playing otherwise it's a chaos! We really appreciated the positive energy and fun loving attitude the staffs brought to the party. It was fun as parents to watch the kids have fun. read more

Our first time here with our daughter was extremely enjoyable. I would recommend this kids above 12 months since some of the activities require walking. We had a lot of fun and look forward to coming again! read more

Clean, spacious and vibrant! The instructors are amazing and they handle the little ones with care and patience. The skill and adventure stations are well thought out and put together for the children to work on their developmental skills! I highly recommend MyGym JC location! read more

Our 4.5 year old attended the summer camp at MyGym in summer 2016. Firstly, I must say it very reasonably priced (too many summer camps try to squeeze you dry because they can sense parents' desperation for alternatives perhaps). It came to about 22-25$ per day with a deal that was going on at the time. That was for 3 hours of activities and snack time. Their facility is really huge (ok, ok, by newyork/jersey city standards) and they have two large studios in the back behind the gym area for dance/arts and crafts. The instructors are great. Our very shy 4.5 felt comfortable within a day or two of going there and had a really great time at camp. I also believe that the classes and activities also helped boost his self confidence a lot. Thank you MyGym! read more

My gym is not only a gym. It has music, swings, puppet shows, dances, and of course bubbles. Babies love this place.

Staff was great very helpful and accommodating. Kids had a blast my baby had a wonderful first birthday!

I don't usually write reviews, but I can't stop raving about this place! My two year old has had the absolute best experience here. The teachers provide the perfect balance of a fun, learning and interactive environment. Look forward to attending future classes with my son! read more

Fun helpful and wonderful staff , we try to make the free play time at least twice a week . The staff are friendly and good with kids . Our toddler loves the place and they have various classes from gym class to karate as well read more

First let me start off by saying, the instructors are great, truly professional and genuinely caring, which is wonderful. However, outside of that, this location needs help. One of the main issues is that you cannot get anyone on the phone, Ever, which is a problem. Also, the "parents area" at this location, behind the barrier, really turns into a major "socializing scene" where people chatter and talk at the top of their lungs so loudly that they forget there's actually a class going on?? I find it super annoying trying to watch a class and feel it overall distracts the children and class from functioning/proceeding properly. Also, it's just inconsiderate and makes the instructors job harder. I think there should be a sign that says "Quiet please, while class is in session" Also mirrors should be added to the play space to make it feel larger, since there are no windows. Other then that, it's great! affordable and in a convenient location! read more

Fantastic place. They are a well oiled machine for kid making fun. There were a ton of staff members helping to direct the parents and kids as everyone arrived. They worked with us to help set everything up before the party and to make sure the games were appropriate for the ranging ages of kids there. Every detail was considered and all the presents were even neatly put together in bags for us to just load in the car. All of my guests kept raving about what a great place it was after we left. This was my first kid's party to plan and they made it so easy for me. I will absolutely be doing another party at My Gym. read more
