I love this place! My son has been going here for about 8ish months. The classes are well structured, the instructors are kind and enthusiastic, you can tell the owner cares about the kids and my child has grown socially and physically from the classes he has taken. It's been amazing to see my son grow from a shy toddler to an outgoing one that looks forward to his classes, loves the instructors and has reached milestones that he was scared of when he started. My daughter and I ended up here by a chance meeting with Ms. Camille at Oktoberfest in the Kentlands. My daughter won a free class, and chose pre-ballet. Fast forward one week and we arrived for our free class. When I say it didn't disappoint, I mean it on many levels. Camilla and Makenna are absolute masters in managing a group of spunky prima ballerinas, including mine, who didn't stop talking until the end of class, and definitely gave everyone something to watch. It was beyond joyful to see the kids learning skills seamlessly through free and play and carefully thought out activities. We can't wait to return, my daughter won't stop raving about it! This is a long review, but I assure you worth the read. And if you don't have time to read the full thing- long story short, sign up for MyGym! The instructors are fabulous, the classes are fun, the kids absolutely love it and not to mention you can make parent friends too (if that floats your boat). I can't say enough how much we love MyGym. We have been living in the area for a while and hadn't thought anything of it- I actually thought it was lame (but that was pre-mom and uneducated me just making assumptions). We went for a birthday and my son loved it. It's so convenient so we decided to sign up for the week trial- we ended up going 3 times that week. Needless to say it was a winner and we signed up for an unlimited package 6 months ago. We go multiple times a week and have been going since my son was 14 months old. He now knows all the instructors by name. They are kind, patient and loving towards him (and the other children). The instructors are helpful, knowledgeable and competent- I can't say enough great things about them! In no specific order; (I apologize for any spelling errors) Ms. Maddie, Ms. Leah, Ms. McKenna, Ms. Camille, Ms. Ellie, Ms. Hannah and Mr. Lamar -- THANK YOU for being amazing!! My son has made wonderful friends as have I! We have had many play dates outside of class and I'm thrilled to be part of this community. They change their "lessons" weekly with 2 different skills stations, swings, independent play, a fun game/puppet show or song at the end (for the waddler tiny tyke classes). My son loves the consistency with how it's set up- he asks to go to the gym, he talks about the instructors at home and even does the warm ups at home on his own volition! For context, we don't do daycare so this is his primary socialization and we live very close so it's very easy for us to get to the classes. They offer a user friendly app to sign up for the classes last minute, reschedule or cancel. If I ever have any issues the staff are kind and quickly help me resolve any issues (usually user error on my part ). Thank you MyGym! read more

I heard about MyGym from our friend and decided to take a chance on it with my daughter. My 18 month old daughter was running us ragged and we were running out of ideas of fun things to do. Joining this Gym changed my life. The activities gave my daughter confidence, social skills and ability to follow directions. We started with the Waddlers and moved into the next class. I really think the activities are a game changer. The teachers are amazing because they know all of the children's names in all classes. I am amazed by all of them. My synagogue runs a huge carnival each year and this year we decided to include My Gym. I began by chatting with Camille who was above and beyond amazing! She was attentive to my questions, tried to make things as easy and convenient as possible and was over the top kind and friendly with a ton of positive energy. She not only accommodated all of my "asks" but provided us with two amazing staff members, one of whom dressed up as the My Gym monkey!! Our "Gymster" daughter LOVES My Gym! She starts smiling from the parking lot as soon as she sees the building! The equipment & activities are crafted to be age-appropriate. We enrolled our daughter over the summer because she loves to run & climb. The classes build confidence, aid in meeting physical developmental milestones, & teach children that fitness is fun. Came here for my nieces bday party. It was clean and smaller than other places but was fantastic. All the kids (3-6 year old) at the party had so much fun with the assistance of two staff who interact with the kids. From doing a puppet show, giving them instructions on things to do (follow the leader on different type of equipment), big bubble guns, making my niece feel so special on her bday, I highly recommend this place for kids Bday party. It ain't cheap though. $375 for non members for 90 minute party for up to 20 kids. Upgrade to deluxe package and it includes pizza for the kids, paper goods, balloons, and juice. Hassle free! Adults need to order more pizza for them as well as provide drinks. They also do cake cutting service too. Highly recommend this place! read more

My child loves My Gym Kentlands! He started as a toddler and now, is always excited to go to class. From the classes, he learned how to follow instructions and gained confidence through the teachers who encouraged/praised his efforts. What really works is that all the teachers genuinely love working with kids and it is a super fun environment with a whole lot of planned activities! New owners took over early in the year and man things went downhill. First off, they really pack these classes beyond capacity! We are signed up for a weekend and it's always packed with at least 15 kids there usually more like 20! And the whole family comes so you have easily 30-40 people running around. Not very safe and just mass chaos! My kid isn't too into it. I enjoyed it years ago with my son but not now. Then when you try to cancel, they give you the run around and play hard to get! Had to stop in 4-5 times because apparently you can't cancel over the phone...you have to go there. Took 40 minutes when we went in to cancel. Then they have the nerve to charge you one more time cause they have a 30 day cancellation policy! What a load of crap! I really liked this place when Debbie owned it but not so much anymore. My kid isn't into it, the place is way too crowded, and their customer service sucks! read more

My 4 year old enjoyed ninja class here, but they have a "curriculum" and sit the kids down similar to a circle time to talk about things that really have nothing to do with physical fitness or gymnastics. I felt like that part of it was a waste of time. My son gets plenty of circle time at daycare. Otherwise, ninja class has really engaging activities that provided my son with intense physical activity. read more

I am not a member here, but my kiddo has attended at least 10 bday parties here in the last 2 years. The staff is great with the kids, it's organized, the place is clean, and the kids loooove the germ pit...I mean the ball pit. ;p Occasionally they have childcare specials for non-members too like $10 for 4 hours of free play on the weekend. I'm only giving four stars right now because I haven't actually been yet. So this review is based off of my phone experience with Debbie. I am one of those people when I have a bad experience on the phone or the other person on the line is a dbag I will give my money else where. Just got off the phone with Debbie to book my son's birthday party. Let me add I was really surprised to hear how chipper and sweet she sounded on the phone. Me personally: If I had to work with kids ALL day I would sound like a b**** on the phone....just me personally. Anyways...his birthday isn't until June but I figured I'd call to see how far in advance they are booked and the lady said they are in April. Asked for details they are able to either host your party at their location or come to your home. I opted to have them host it at their location. For their Mobile package (when they come to you) it's $250, the Deluxe ($300) and Grand Package ($350) are at their location and it's 1.5-2 hours of free play, the whole gym is yours, up to 20 guests (birthday kid not included), and each guest gets a free pass for another visit. The difference is with the Deluxe you must bring all the utensils, plates, cups, napkins, food, and drinks versus with the Grand they provide everything. I went with the Grand and chose to go all out for my son's third birthday. I did a lot of research before choosing My Gym because they actually have activities for toddlers like slides, ball pit, mats, swings, etc versus with The Little Gym in Germantown the equipment is more for gymnastics no slides or jungle gyms. I also like that at My Gym they have more than two instructors to host the party versus at The Little Gym they have one. Any parents out there know you need more than one person to get a toddler party's attention. I was given the option of a 1:00, 3:00, or 5:00 party. Knowing most toddlers nap around 12:00-3:00 I chose the 5:00. With the package I also get invitations and thank you cards. This is my son's first birthday where I'm throwing a big party and going all out so I like that the center helps prepare and make the day easier for you. I'm not sure I would sign him up as a member just because the schedule is not convenient with my work schedule. Many of the classes for 2.5-3 years old are during the day or at 5:30...my son goes to daycare so I wouldn't pull him out of daycare or not go to work just to go to the gym. **FYI It's an additional $50 if you are a non-member and $100 deposit. read more

Fantastic new owners! I have been sending my 4 year old son to mygym kentlands since age 2 (have experienced both previous and new owners). As much as I liked former owners, I truly have witnessed an amazingly positive evolution of the quality of the classes with new management. Ms.Camille runs a structured operation, ensuring not a minute is wasted - yet both she and her team are extremely talented and patient with the kids. I do not write yelp reviews, but was surprised to see negative reviews re: chaotic classes and new mgmt. The staff handles the floor very well - its rarely chaotic despite the number of kids in a play gym setting. Lastly, the staff is truly caring about the kids - earning their trust from everyone including shy kids. I would strongly recommend this mygym location, and as a result - I send my son year round including in the summer time! read more

Ok, I took my daughter here to check things out, and here is my take on things. 1. Cleanliness - we went to one class, and there were two sick kids. The staff did not clean the floors or equipment at the end. This stopped me from even asking about signing up for future classes. 2. Information and scheduling - I appreciate they had a free session to try things out, but when they scheduled me for a class, it was the wrong class, filled with older kids. I asked about the proper class and they never got back to me while I was there, treating me more like they didn't care whether we were there or not. So, that was the end for this place. 3. For the love of sanity, do not give your email. After all the above, I now get spammed with franchise information about opening my own studio and attending classes, about once a week. This whole place needs a bath, or Purell or something. I won't go here ever again. Oh, check out the little gym in Germantown, they actually clean the equipment, and they have awesome staff. read more

Thank you so much for making my daughter Nadia's second birthday party such a huge hit! The kids had a blast, and the parents too. I received so many comments about what an amazing venue this is. Debbie, the owner, was super helpful, caring, and flexible leading up to and during the event. Ms. Crystal did a fabulous job leading the birthday games and activities. She really engaged the children in puppet shows, circle time, and more...and made the birthday girl feel special. The girl who did the face-paint, which I elected to add on, was super sweet as well. I was really able to step back and mingle with the other parents and kids while My Gym did all the heavy lifting, pun intended. :-) Nadia also takes classes there, and I highly recommend those as well. I've been to a few My Gyms and have had really good experiences. This location continues to push the bar of excellence. My kids have a great time when they are with the instructor. It's clean, vibrant and ran like a well-oiled machine. I'm told they are under new management, but it doesn't look like they've missed a beat. My sons love this place! We call it the Monkey Gym & my youngest is constantly asking to go to the monkey gym to see his friends. They have a great program called Mom's Afternoon Out Fridays 1-3pm that I take my son to. We also attend the Stay & Play (free play time), they try to have free play during nasty weather which is a lifesaver & Halloween costume parties as well as post Halloween playtime to burn off all the sugar lol. My daughter had taken a ton of classes, from other gym classes to dance to music and was beyond elated after her first class here yesterday. We are back today because she couldn't get enough. She said this is her favorite class ever (in her long 5 years here on earth lol). The unlimited option is awesome!!! We will be here many times a week. We have taken both our boys to My Gym classes here. The staff here are the BEST!!! I can't single anyone out because they have all been wonderful. And the owners are amazing. My kids learned about exercising and about what their bodies are capable of. The practiced social skills and had fun playing in this constantly changing space. I love how the apparatuses are moved and changed every week and there are new games and activities each time we come. read more

I joined My Gym with my toddler a few months ago. We love it! The classes are the perfect mix of structure and free play. The staff is very engaging, warm and friendly. They are always there to help the children, but there is never any pressure for the kids to do something they absolutely don't want to do. I wish I would have tried out MyGym when my older son was a toddler. I tried other programs in the area, but none of them seemed to fit his needs. Thank you, MyGym! I can not say enough about this place. We absolutely love it! They have about 3 people helping during each class and their energy level and enthusiasm is contagious. The kids adore each instructor and when you show up they make you feel like you are being welcomed into this secret club that is full of laughter and love. It's pricey but if you can afford to pay the price it is DEFINITELY worth it. I wish they had a family deal of some sort (not just 10% off second child) because if you have more than one child it's hard to pay for both. We've looked at other gyms and none come close to being this good. So all positives with the exception of the price. read more

We just LOVE this wonderful place! Our baby always has a ball during her classes, and we just love the instructors too - Olivia is a favorite, but Fatima and Tiffany and all of the others are excellent too. I actually think that these classes helped our baby start crawling earlier than she would have if we were not taking her to the classes. She just loves seeing her friends, working on her exercises, swinging on the swing sets, and the concluding puppet show. And we always get such fabulous pictures of her during the class. My one recommendation for improvement would be the overcrowding during the Saturday morning class - maybe break it into two classes? But otherwise, this place is just fantastic!!!! read more
