They took me in a room and asked all sorts of bizarre questions about my teeth and my expectations and my concerns and every time they moved me to a new room they handed me off ..."this is Noelle. She likes her teeth clean and doesn't want to lose them." It was too much attention for me but I can see where people would dig it. Cons I had given my insurance information to the front desk when I booked the appointment but when I got there I was told they were out of network. I was sitting in the chair with a bib on surrounded by three people privy to my personal hygiene preferences (see pros). It was awkward and I wanted to run away so I did. I didn't actually get any work done as I have great insurance that makes cleanings free! TMJ In addition to a cleaning appointment I went for a TMJ eval. Dr Poss has a lot of advanced equipment and software for treatments but I felt like he couldn't help with my specific symptom. I also felt a little judged by my symptoms like they weren't "normal" but I'm sure anyone reading this with TMJ can attest that there isn't anything normal about it. In the end I also decided to look elsewhere for TMJ treatment due to unfamiliarity with my symptoms and insurance drama. Dr Poss was honest about my symptoms stating that he wasn't sure if he could help or not. I appreciated the honesty.

They pawn you off on a PA that literally sits there on a laptop texting with her boss/doctor about everything you ask or try to discuss. They praised me for my 100% use of my CPAP, bragged about how well the treatment is working! Oh but we want you to have another sleep study for $1100! When I responded that if the treatment is working so well then there was no need for another study which would be money out of my pocket... They then threatened and said that they will not help me with supplies, new machine or meds unless I opt for the new sleep study.... This office is unprofessional as I said, a doctor didn't even step in to see me at all, and they just want to run up billable's. From the time I received my consult from my Doctor, to the initial screening and then the sleep study itself, I must say I was given a new breath on life. "Stephanie Rose" was my sleep therapist who welcomed me, put me at ease, answered ALL my questions and guided me to the first 8 hours of continuous sleep tHat I've had in 40 years. IT WAS DIVINE!! Stephanie is the epitome of excellence and her knowledge, customer care and experience in this field was outstanding!! She is a CROWN JEWEL of sleep study/analysis in guiding me into healthy living and sleeping. She also is a great ambassador for the Sleep Centers of Middle Tennessee as she understands her company and their core values. My first sleep study was done by the mIlitary at Lackland AFB, TX.
