My family and I have multiple bags from Timbuk2 and have been customers for years…read more I tend to be a repeat customer of companies due to their great sales/discounts and their exceptional customer service. The employees at the Queen St. W store are always so helpful and kind when I visit the shop. By far the best experience I had was with the store manager. I ordered a custom pack and when I received it in the mail, it was missing the chest strap and one of the buckles was broken. It was a little disappointing, so I called the store asking if I could go downtown and pick up a new buckle and chest strap. He apologized and said because those parts were on backorder, it would be faster to just order a new bag. So, he ordered me a new bag with the same customizations at no cost. Since my order was already saved from my original purchase, I didn't have to look up and see the exact colours and fabrics I chose for each part of the backpack. As well, I didn't even have to send back my broken, but still usable pack, saving me time and effort. The process was so simple and easy for me as a customer and their lifetime warranty is a perfect bonus! My only wish is their bags had waist straps and their shipping was faster (sending in warranty products took a really long time).

Best customer service I've ever had!!!…read more I bought my first Timbuk2 messenger bag at MEC. It was on sale at almost 60% off and was a steal. I'd heard of the company, but not enough to form a real opinion on them. Nonetheless, the bag looked very high quality and was a great price. I used the bag everyday, and after about a year the finish was bubbled and peeling. Still the bag was working just fine, but looked rather beaten up. A friend suggested I call the company and see if I could get it warrantied. I checked their web site, sent them an email with pictures and about 2 hours later got an email confirming it was covered. The email's time was friendly and apologetic and said send us the bag and we'll fix it. When I asked what the address to send the bag to be fixed, they informed me that (again apologies accompanied the email) the fabric was a known problem child and couldn't be fixed, so they were just going to give me a new bag. Within the next few emails it was discovered that I live in Toronto, they had just opened up a new store close by to me, and they could ship my bag to San Francisco for no charge for me. When I arrived at the store, the staff was incredibly helpful, and the company then sent me a credit by email right there and then so I could get a new bag. Even though staff had never processed a claim like this, they had it taken care of and figured out within minutes. Total time it took to process claim and get me a brand new bag: less than 24 hours. Great quality bags, great staff, I highly recommend!!! UPDATE: Now at about the 4-5 year mark, the bag has shown some wear and tear including small holes in the bends of the fabric, but nothing too significant in that department. The issue I have is with the strap. For some reason, now that the bag is older it won't stop falling to the right side of my body when I ride, even after multiple adjustments. I realize it's a messenger bag, but this didn't really happen before, so I find it odd it does now. Also, the snap that adjusts the length of strap seems to let go quite easily, and strangely enough the straps themselves twist and get tangled easily within the guides. I've been to the store a number of times and they fixed it once, but the problem resurfaces and after that they had no answer. I finally emailed their customer service in SF as I had with my first Timbuk2 bag to again get that legendary warranty care, and didn't hear from them. So I emailed again, and got a reply saying they were very busy and emails were answered in order they are received and they'd get back to me shortly....and nothing after that. From what I hear from reading customer reviews and from speaking to in-store reps, there seem to be a prevalent number of bags where faulty fabric or snaps are the issue. Since the problem appears to be ongoing, not sure I would still buy another bag from them

This is a long overdue review, but I just wanted to rave about how great Toronto Tees is. As it was…read moremy first time ever purchasing a customized t-shirt NOT in bulk, I was curious as to what the process would entail and what the prices would be. A lot of my friends have quirky sense of humours, so I thought a creative present for Christmas this year would be custom t-shirts. I've walked past Toronto Tees several times on Yonge Street, as it's bright display with humorous t-shirts is hard to miss, and decided to give it a try this holiday. My friend and I dropped by so that we could get four custom t-shirts with a logo we had come up with only in our minds (but hadn't drawn) done. ...The verdict for Toronto Tees? 110% worth it. It should be EVERYONE's go-to for a memorable, thoughtful, and unique present that's sure to get a laugh from the Prices: Really, really affordable! I purchased a custom t-shirt for about $20-25. The more you order, the bigger the discount (I ordered one, so I think it came to about $25). The people working there also very understanding when it comes to working on a budget, so if you're not sure what your t-shirt will come to, feel free to ask them questions and discuss it with them. Set-up: Toronto Tees is a surprisingly clean and spacious store. One of my favourite things about it is that it contains a tasteful wall gallery of sample t-shirts that have been made before, with different logos and images used; from there, you can choose if you want a similar logo or image (maybe with different words or phrases, etc.), or you can design your own or bring your own image for them to print on a t-shirt for you. There's a big screen in front of the counter facing you, where they will design the logo of the shirt or draw up a sketch of the shirt so that you can see exactly what it'll look like before they print it - and if you'd like to make any changes/suggestions to it, they can accomodate that, too! You can also watch as they print the t-shirts right in front of you -it's a totally transparent process, and I love the relaxed atmosphere of the store (they really don't judge you on what you want on your t-shirt.) The person who helped us, Marvin, even took the time to explain to us what he was doing, and the steps involved in t-shirt printing, as he did it. Service: HUGE shout out to Marvin* (I think that was his name!), who was really friendly and made our experience a great one! Marvin was totally cool not only with the fact that we didn't have an image of the logo we wanted on our T-shirt, but even asked us to show him pictures of what we had in mind. In front of our very eyes (I'm sounding a bit melodramatic here, but it really was a cool thing to see,) he started to design a logo exactly like the one we had imagined. After asking us for our input, he then helped us to pick out t-shirts that we could have our logo printed on. Seriously, I can't rave enough about how much patience, creativity, and dedication the staff here have - Marvin was hilarious, very accomodating, and more than willing to go above and beyond to help us to create the perfect t-shirt. I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to fonts, so to see Marvin design a logo with the exact font I had had in mine, and to recreate an image that I showed him from the internet, was amazing. Thanks, Marvin - because of you, we'll definitely be coming back to order more t-shirts! Ask for him the next time you're at the store. Product: The t-shirts at Toronto Tees are a great quality. The stores I usually shop at for t-shirts include Aritzia (on the pricier side,) and Forever 21/H&M when I'm not as willing to splurge. I can say that Toronto Tees is a great in-between - their t-shirts don't fray, they hold up well, and they stay true to their size. They also have a nice, diverse selection of colours and sizes! The final results: Our T-shirts looked FABULOUS. The four of my friends and I can't stop wearing them, and we get compliments all the time on where we got the t-shirts. It feels cool to say that it was a custom order, and made an awesome present. I'll definitely be coming back. This place is my new gifting go-to!

Put in an order on the weekend online and it was ready to pick up on Wednesday!…read more I had walked by this store many times and never realized how big their operation is! The location is very simple and industrial - and if you want to the side of the building on Maitland you can actually see the t shirt printing presses! The employees were nice, t shirt is great quality, and I'll definitely order here again!
