After initiating a conversation via text, we began the process of my case. She requested that I send her my documents and other relevant information, which I promptly did. I needed help with my divorce (that I was filing myself, without a lawyer). Not an attorney's help,…read moreas it was no-contest divorce, but someone to help me file all my forms correctly. The Court kept on refusing the forms we were submitting for one reason or another and we were stuck. It was frustrating and time-consuming: I was losing a lot of time trying to figure out why they were refusing the forms even after I went several times to the Court's self-help desk for help. I decided to hire Carla and I am really happy I did. Everything went smoothly and we could sign all the forms electronically. She then filed everything with the Court, always keeping us informed of what was happening which was reassuring. Thanks to Carla, our divorce was finally approved without delay, in a matter of days, and without spending a fortune. I can't thank her enough for her efficiency, professionalism, and kindness.

Unlike my ex's family, who have all been divorced, some 2 times over, this was a common rodeo for them (congrats on joining your family club, girl!) After asking around, 3 people automatically said "get Mel Hatamian to represent you", so I did exactly that. Mel had a consult with me and answered all my questions. She didn't take my case right away, she asked that I think it over before I file. Which I thought was interesting, I thought lawyers were all about the money. This gave me a sense of relief to know that she was working in my favor. I won't air my dirty laundry, but let's just say I didn't have a pre-nup and people starting to dig in a cookie jar that didn't belong to them. Mel gave me a list of everything I needed to demonstrate "separate property". I was married for 19 months, and my divorce took 15 months. It was painstaking and at some points, so petty. Mel was so understanding, answered all my questions, and represented me so well. When we went to court, she was a complete BOSS. Literally left opposing counsel in tears. 5 stars for Mels responsiveness, her attention to detail and, and her superb staff. I never had a missed call (they always pick up the phone) and I never had an email go by without a response in 12 hours. I remember Mel once emailed me back at 4am! Girl works hard! If you're getting a divorce, don't think twice about hiring Mel to represent you!
