The therapy rooms just got a new look. so overall the place looks great. The staff are very pleasant and you always feel at ease throughout the treatement. I would absolutely not recommend…read moreThérapie Clinic to anyone after my experience with laser hair removal at their Liverpool One clinic. I started my laser hair removal journey in 2024 and everything was going well until spring of this year, when my therapist left and I was given a new therapist, Abby. Ahead of my first appointment with Abby, I completed the consent form confirming that I had not had any recent sun exposure. At the appointment, Abby asked me again if I had had any recent sun exposure and I said no, because that was the truth. I am incredibly cautious about sun exposure after losing a family friend to skin cancer. Abby told me my skin looked burnt and that she would be adjusting my settings accordingly, despite me repeatedly assuring her that I had not been in the sun and was not burnt. She proceeded with the treatment on reduced settings. I left feeling annoyed because the lower settings made the treatment less effective and therefore felt like a waste of my time and money, but I hoped my next appointment would be better. Unfortunately, it wasn't. The same thing happened again. Abby asked whether I had had any recent sun exposure, I said no, and once again I felt that she didn't believe me. This time, however, she changed my settings without telling me. I suspected they had been reduced because the treatment felt noticeably different from usual. I was too anxious to question it during the appointment because I found Abby very abrupt, but when I later obtained my treatment records, they confirmed that my settings had indeed been reduced without my knowledge. When I raised this with Thérapie, they explicitly told me that they do not have to disclose changes in treatment settings to their clients. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable continuing my treatment with Thérapie. I had lost confidence in receiving the treatment I was paying for and felt intimidated by the way I had been treated. I had paid upfront for a course of 10 sessions and had five remaining. I requested a refund for those five unused sessions, which Thérapie refused under their "no refunds" policy. They suggested I try another therapist or travel to another clinic, with the next closest clinic being over 30 miles away in Manchester. By this point, however, my trust in Thérapie as a company had been lost. I continued pursuing my complaint but was repeatedly passed from one person to another. Eventually, the Liverpool clinic told me they would no longer communicate with me, despite my complaint remaining unresolved and no refund being issued. I contacted Thérapie's support team instead, only to reach a third-party call centre who told me I needed to speak to the Liverpool clinic, the same clinic that was refusing to communicate with me. In the end, I submitted a Subject Access Request under Article 15 of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 to obtain the personal data Thérapie held about me, and disputed the payment with my credit card provider. Thérapie contested the dispute, but ultimately my credit card provider sided with me and refunded me for all five unused sessions. I think that speaks volumes. I'm disgusted by the way I was treated by Thérapie, both during my laser hair removal treatment and while trying to obtain a refund for services I had not received. I do not believe it is acceptable to make changes to someone's treatment without informing them. And if you're trying to obtain a refund from Thérapie, don't assume that their "no refunds" policy is the end of the matter. Consider submitting a Subject Access Request to obtain your records and, if you paid by credit card, speaking to your card provider about the options available to you.

What often makes the difference to a review on a service like this, is the person performing it…read more Lisa is the only staff member you'll deal with here, and she is a genuine pleasure to go to see. Always super-friendly and great to talk to, she makes you feel at ease straight away. Most importantly, she's great at her job and has a really vast knowledge of the latest technologies as well as those that have been around for years. I was lucky to get an amazing Groupon deal for this place - six sessions for 120 euro I think it was - but as far as I can see, they're pretty reasonably priced on a normal day anyway. The facilities here are fine - it's not super luxurious - just the one room inside Ballyowen Medical Centre, but it's modern, and most importantly, very clean. There's also lots of parking (free), so no need to stress about that. I've just taken one star off for the location - it's a bit of an odd one, although fine once you find it for the first time. Take note that there are two medical centres within Ballyowen Castle (don't get excited - it's not so much a castle as a random shopping centre in the middle of housing estates!). There is one medical centre next to Giraffe's childminding service called Primavera, which is not the one you want. You want the one next to the pharmacy and the Chinese. (In case you want a bite to eat after of course!!) Oh by the way, you are also only five minutes from Liffey Valley here if you fancied some shopping after your treatment... just sayin...!

I have been attending this Clinic off and on for the past few years and each time I go I am more than satisfied, but above all confident and happy that I know I am in very safe hands when Lisa is treating me. She is both highly professional and qualified and certainly knows her business. She is just wonderful to talk to and discuss the different types of treatments. In fact her manner is so gentle and laid back that she puts you at ease as soon as you come in the door and you feel you know her all your life. I have had laser hair removal carried out very successfully by Lisa and now only attend once or twice a year for top up treatment. I am so happy that I'm now going to have some laser treatment during the winter on tiny red veins on my face as Lisa assures me this is very successful and safe...and I trust her! The prices as far as I can tell her very reasonable compared to City centre Salons and they very often have great value in Groupon deals - so keep your eyes peeled!

For those of you not in Dublin, this place is very simple to get to via LUAS. Just get off @ Baladdy and walk. It's a 3-4 minute walk For anyone driving, take exit 13 of the M50 and park in the Dundrum Town Centre. The Medical Centre is on level 4. Marian is very thorough in her explanations and covers everything and answers any and all questions you might have. You definitely feel confident going in there knowing she knows what she's doing. I highly recommend this place and have already booked my return appointment. For anybody curious as to the pain level you have to endure, everybody is different, but I'll tell you what I felt it was akin to. If you ever have had laser hair removal, it's a similar process and type of pain. The main difference is the tattoo removal is about 3-5 times more intense, sometimes even more than this and sometimes even less. There were parts where I didn't feel a darn thing and others which were way more sensitive and I felt it. For example, when you get laser hair removal, it feels like a very slight rubberband hitting your skin OR can even feel like a splash of cold water continually hitting your skin, depending on what part you're treating. For laser tattoo removal, it still feels like a rubberband hitting you, but it is coupled w/ heat. Again, the intensity of what you're going to feel is going to be dependent on where your tattoo is, how sensitive you are to pain, and other different factors.. The great thing is, you just let Marian know and she'll numb it down w/ a cold pack while he's doing this and you're good to keep going. Oh yeah, and just be sure to go in early for the numbing cream because that definitely helps a lot! There is an additional charge for the numbing creme. I thought that he price quoted was very reasonable, I know this picosure laser treatment costs thousands elsewhere. Just a tip: Make sure to wear really loose clothes when you go. Especially if you have tattoos anywhere below the waist. The reason being is, once you're lasered you'll be a bit sore and possibly have to put ice there. You'll also feel a bit hot in the area(s) which were lasered. It's just best to not have any tight pants/tight clothes on to let the area heal and breathe. Also, I probably wouldn't plan on too many activities a few days after, as you can still be sore and feel the heat from the removal. I know you may feel out of place going in sweatpants or really loose clothes because this business is very nice and classy when you get inside, but it's okay. I"m sure they see it all the time and know what's up. Listen to my advice and wear loose clothes!! You can thank me later!

I really appreciated Brian explaining everything very clearly…read more Thank you for your time and being clear on outcomes for mail treatment.

I had heard lots of great reviews about this place from a colleague who is also an existing client so I called them to arrange a free consultation for laser hair removal. As I had a course of IPL treatments in the past with another salon that I wish I never attended - I still had full hair regrowth on my legs after 6 sessionswhich cost me a lot of money and time so as you can imagineI was cautious of the same happening again. At my consultation everything about the treatment was explained in full and all of my concerns where answered regarding the type of lasers they use (medical grade which are the best) and the results I could expect from having a full course of treatments. I then had a patch test with the nurse which was part of the consultation and free of charge What I also really liked about the staff at this clinic is that they are not pushy sales people at all they're all so friendly and helpful and seem to really care about their clients. So I booked in the following week had the option of paying per single treatment or for a course. I opted for the course because you then get 50% off which worked out an amazing price. I'm finished my course of treatments now and it is the best thing I have ever done. Shaving my legs wouldn't ever enter my head now because there's actually no hair to shave...happy days! The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because they had a 70% sale off laser hair since I started my treatment which I missed out on but I won't miss out on the next sale ;) Skin treatments are next on my list, see you at my next visit. Men are said to be simple. Tell me about it... Not ! Anyway, I was thinking of my killing outfit when a thought crossed my mind like a shooting star in a dark night. I couldn't wear anything and needed to find a Beauty Salon urgently ! One start for the Name ! Heaven, I'm in Heaven, And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak; And I seem to find the happiness I seek When we're out together dancing, cheek to cheek. One star for the Spot ! On Lower Grand Canal Street, it is so practical for the girls who don't live close (enough) to city centre. On top of that, the shop is discrete, it's like a little piece of Heaven of Earth. One star for the Range of Treatments ! Even if the shop is quite cosy (meaning relatively small), they offer a wide range of services : - waxing (male & female) - facials (dermatologica ) - spray tan (sun lust & whitetobrown) - manicures & pedicures (nailitiques) - swedish massage (in snow??) - nails - hand & feet - threading - and eyes I tried the full leg waxing and I was enchanted. Julie Toner, the Head Therapist, was taking care of me. She is a fully qualified Beauty Instructor and does a great job indeed. It was a great waxing experience. My legs are impeccable and smooth ! :( She didn't speak that much. Not that I am a chatterbox kind of person but I like making a bond with the person who is taking care of me. It makes me feel comfortable. One star for the price ! €33 - Which is very affordable from my point of view. I had checked some other places before and Heaven has very competitive prices. In terms of waxing they also offer : - Bikini : €16 - Full leg & bikini : €45 (you save €4) - Lip wax : €10 - Underarm wax : €15 - And a lot more... I want more ! Between you and me, I think I have found my new Beauty Spot. Heaven has such a comprehensive range of services, and affordable on top of that. Why not just take a slice of Heaven when it's pouring rain outside ? For more info, check this link : www.teamheaven.com PS : And of course, I will let you know how long it takes me to have Yeti legs again. See you in Heaven ! XD
