His staff also keep us updated during the two day ordeal. In the end, we were happy with the service that was provided, on a tough day.

And she needed to go to the hospital. I begged him to do anything that may help her to hang on for the ride, he denide me any help. I was devistated...I proceeded to try and exit with my pup to get her to the hospital he blurted out "that will be 168.00 I said are you kidding me right now?? He said again 168.00!!! I told him I will send him a check he replied... no, now! I couldn't believe it...this man is cold and heartless. While I highly recommend the care given to my pets by Dr. DiBerardino and his medical technicians…read more(they are the Absolute Best!!); I refuse to let another incident pass regarding their front desk staff. While most are cordial, I am appalled at the behavior of a blonde girl who was sitting at the left side of the front counter on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 4, 2026. I wish I knew her name, as I do not want to put any negative comments on the others that work the desk. This girl, is beyond a doubt the rudest individual I have ever dealt with, and I've been subjected to a few over the years. She never made eye contact with any of the pet owners who came through the door, including myself. She took names, grabbed the small file, and tossed it at the girl next to her, who was trying to keep everyone organized. She sat there staring at the computer looking half asleep. When the phone rang she huffed because she had to answer it because the other girl was already on a call! When I was leaving, she was nastily asking the couple of people waiting if they had checked in, like they hadn't, (and may I add, she's the one who had checked them in but since she never looked up, she sure wouldn't know!!!), And one of the gentleman had been sitting there since I got there! She was totally oblivious of what was going on, and apparently couldn't care less! In knowing Dr. DiBerardino for many years, I know he would certainly not be happy with this conduct. It is not the first time I encountered this here; therefore, I felt I had to speak up. Very poor representation for a great practice!

My dog had bloody diarrhea and I took him to the only place that was open at 7 am. I'm so so so glad I did. They had an appointment for him straight away, and although I knew that this was likely to be expensive, they asked several times about the cost of a particular procedure before they did it. I knew they were going to take blood, so they offered a genetic test that could both identify any potential problems for his breed and age. I was sure he needed surgery for the bleeding problem, but after Dr. DaCosta examined him, she was clear that there was nothing stuck in him. They sent me a postcard reminder, as well as an email, to come in for a follow-up,but then when I called for an appointment, they said if the bleeding had stopped I didn't need to come in. Just pick up his Nextguard and Heartguard and I was good to go! I'm so happy. so happy.

I would first like to acknowledge the many positive experiences I had at this practice in the past…read more Dr. Lang, Dr. Marotta, and several technicians cared for my dogs from 2020 through early 2026, and during those years my visits were consistently professional, calm, and respectful. Unfortunately, my visit on February 19, 2026, was completely different. I would give this place a zero star. I brought my healthy dog in for a routine checkup, fecal exam, and vaccines required for boarding. What should have been a straightforward preventive appointment quickly became uncomfortable and confrontational. During the visit, Technician Laura Kelly repeatedly spoke over me, raised her voice, and addressed me in a way that felt accusatory rather than informative. Each time I attempted to respond or ask a question, I was interrupted and not allowed to finish a sentence. The tone was not educational or collaborative. It felt adversarial. When she stepped out of the room, I could hear her speaking about me behind the door. Shortly after, Dr. Ashley Jackson, whom I had never met before, entered the room. Rather than asking about my dog's routine, training, or overall health, the conversation immediately turned critical. The entire interaction also felt rushed. Dr. Jackson repeatedly mentioned that she had a lot to say but might be pulled out of the room soon. She spoke at length, delivering a stream of general advice without first taking the time to understand my dog or my experience as an owner. I have had German Shepherds for six years, yet I was spoken to as if I had just adopted my first dog, receiving very basic instructions such as not exercising a dog immediately before or after eating. There was no attempt to ask what I already knew or what I was already doing. Most concerning, while we were still in the room and without discussing it with me first, Dr. Jackson instructed the technician to administer an anti-parasitic medication before any fecal test results were available and without asking for my consent. Decisions were being made between the two of them as though I were not present. In the moment I was shocked and frozen. Looking back, I wish I had stopped the situation and left. This was a routine visit involving a healthy dog. The escalation into a hostile exchange, combined with medical decisions made without discussion or approval, was deeply concerning. No client should feel spoken over, dismissed, or excluded from medical decisions during a preventive appointment. The experience left me deeply upset, and it took nearly a month to recover emotionally from what should have been a simple routine visit. I hope the practice reflects on what occurred so that no other client has a similar experience.

Avoid this place at all costs if you care about your pets. We had an extremely unacceptable…read moreexperience at Central after bringing our dog in three times within 24 hours for persistent vomiting, abdominal pain, and refusal to eat. Although he has IBD, we knew this was something much more serious. During our first visit, we waited over five hours while our dog continued vomiting without treatment. We repeatedly had to ask staff for medications and fluids. Dr. Chen diagnosed him with pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, and colitis, and also discovered a pancreatic nodule that we were told could require monitoring for cancer. Despite these serious findings, she stated our dog was stable enough to send home. We later discovered he had not been given the pain medication we were told by her he would receive, and his discharge paperwork was never finalized by her, creating confusion about his medications due to discrepancies. Sending him home with an extremely painful, time sensitive condition without any pain medication was beyond negligent. Our dog's condition continued to worsen, so we returned later that night for pain management. We were again told he was stable enough to go home. Only a few hours later, he woke up lying in blood and feces. When we called, we were told this was "normal" with pancreatitis, but we knew something was seriously wrong and brought him back for hospitalization. During our third visit, we were told there was a critical emergency causing delays and that we would likely be seen around 8 a.m. While waiting, our dog continued vomiting and leaking blood in the waiting room. Later, the front desk informed us there was no ongoing critical case and that staff had instead been told we had agreed to wait for the morning team--something we never agreed to. A nurse then acknowledged that the bleeding "wasn't good," directly contradicting what we had been told over the phone. Then there was our interaction with the third vet, Dr. Wells. After waiting all night while our dog's condition continued to decline, she entered the room and asked us to explain what had happened. As I began answering her question, she abruptly interrupted me and repeatedly said, "Stop, stop, stop. Stop complaining," before I had even finished explaining my dog's condition. Instead of listening to a concerned pet owner whose dog was experiencing a medical emergency, she immediately became confrontational and dismissive. When I told her not to interrupt me, the interaction escalated further. Rather than focusing on my dog's care, she argued with us and created an unnecessarily hostile environment. When I told her if she could not handle our conversation and just wanted to keep arguing with us that she needed to go get another vet, she denied allowing us to deal with another vet. Instead, she placed a treatment estimate of more than $3,000 on the table and left the room after telling us we needed to "talk to her civilly," despite her own unprofessional conduct throughout the interaction. She really seemed to be having a serious mental health episode. Dr. Wells demonstrated a level of unprofessionalism, poor judgment, and lack of empathy that was completely unacceptable for someone caring for sick and vulnerable animals. Her communication and demeanor destroyed any confidence we had in leaving our dog under her care, which is why we made the decision to take him to another emergency hospital instead. Before we left, a nurse called us in another room to apologize for Dr. Wells behavior and we have since heard more terrible experiences people have had with her and this hospital. I strongly advise anyone seeking treatment for their animals to avoid this hospital and particularly the mentally unstable Dr. Wells at all costs. I also asked repeatedly to speak to an office manager. It has been over a week and no one has contacted me. It is evident to me by our experience as well as reading how they respond to their google reviews, this practice demonstrates a complete lack of care, concern, or accountability for how it operates and treats its patients.
