I always come before my appointment and left 10 - 20 minutes after my haircut done. I enjoy talking to Max (the owner) while I'm drinking my tea or coffee. This is a different barbershop for sure, a good one. Thanks Max for taking care of my haircuts more than 12 years.

I've had cuts from all of the main staff, Linda, Stephanie, and Max and have never been disappointed. Service here is excellent and everyone is extremely friendly. They always go the extra mile to make sure that customers are happy, from offering a drink when you come in, to the hot towel after your cut. I usually go for a standard mens cut and a beard trim, but Max is also great with the straightrazor. 100% worth the short walk from downtown, not to mention that Coal Harbor is beautiful is anyways.

In…read moreadditional to executing the best OG Fades, I've seen them do beard/moustache grooming, hot shaves, once I saw a man get his beard and eyebrows dyed/hennaed. They do young and old. Mostly young. A lot of bruhs, jocks, and students but a lot of children too. Be advised during peak hours, if you don't have an appointment there can be a long wait for walk-ins. I mean like a 45 minute wait. We don't mind because it's my son's favorite place and he gets a bad-ass cut every time. [I also go next door to Coffee Vanilla and grab a latte, there's also a Starbucks in the Safeway across the street.] Hint: Make appointments for days before long week-ends, holidays, Valentines..you get the drill. Also, I have found you can usually walk right in early mornings mid-week. For the longest time they only took cash. They now can take debit and e-transfer (I think). I've also seen a couple of women getting Fades done, impressive. As for who's the best barber-they're all very good. The last time I took my son one of the "lady barbers" did his fade and she was AMAZING.

He shaved my husband's part SO wide and when he brought up, the hairdresser made excuses that that's how it's supposed to be and it's only because his hair is wet. It was so bad and embarrassing, my husband ended up wearing a hat until the hair grew back in. Worth waiting for any other hairdresser there... highly recommend Andrew.

I've gotten multiple…read morehaircuts there in the past, and while the cuts have rarely been anything above acceptable, they were fine enough to keep going back. It's difficult to ever get cut with the same person (if you find a good barber) because they rotate different barbers through from time to time. Finally found one that I liked, but he moved to a different location (Cambie). But I won't be back after today's debacle: Got a pretty terrible haircut (the barber cut my sideburn in half on one side, shaving off most of my natural hairline and leaving me with a strip of a sideburn), and even left portions of uncut hair behind my ears. I asked to have the owner try to fix the mistakes, but when I went back, the owner (who was really friendly) didn't acknowledge that the haircut was a problem, and only did a few quick buzzes before announcing "there!" Only problem is, despite both sides now matching, I still have just a really bizarre and crappy $30 haircut.
