It is clear why Mark hired her because she is truly incredible...knowledgeable, innovative, compassionate - All the things you'd look for in a great PT. She takes your whole person into account, not just your injury/why you're there. Hana worked with me weekly as my hip injury started acting up again. I never felt ashamed or like I was "weak" because I was back in physical therapy. It was always like we were on the same team to figure out what was wrong and to get me feeling better. Every win, however small, was a win for both of us. My healing took a lot of different treatment modalities, and I'm grateful to have had a PT who encouraged that and connected with my other doctors. I recently completed a therapy course with MVMT and Mark Lusk, and could not be more satisfied with the experience. Marks level of insight and expertise were excellent, and the overall experience was a new one for me as pertains to physical therapy. I have been through many facilities for different recoveries and they all felt like I was getting a mediocre training session at a gym for hurt people. The sessions with MVMZT by comparison were done in a private room in a 1:1 setting so I was the full focus of the therapists attention, not one of 3 a therapist was running between at most places. My overall pain in the area has been reduced by therapeutic treatment for scar tissue and mobility in the area in the office sessions and my strength in the affected knee has been significantly improved after the strengthening program I was given at MVMT, both in office and at home prescribed workouts. I could not give MVMT and Mark Lusk a stronger recommendation, he is absolutely world class. read more

I came back from vacation on crutches after jamming my ankle in a canyoning accident. I highly recommend Mark Lusk and MVMT! After suffering from middle-agedness and hurting my back by simply moving and leaning over, Mark immediately diagnosed the issue and worked through with me what would be involved in my recovery. Prior to starting with MVMT, I wasn't able to put my shoes on or play with my dog, so Mark worked with me in the office and created a range of simple therapies I could replicate on my own at home. At no point did I feel like I was being forced into a long therapy regime or being left out of the loop. I was included in all conversations, and I was asked questions at every point. After three sessions, Mark explained that I was, of course, welcome to keep working through things with them, or if I felt like my recovery was going well, I could take some time and see how things go on my own. This kind of support is exactly what I was looking for in my physical therapy. I can't recommend MVMT more highly, and if I ever suffer from anything movement-related, I'll be right back! read more

I came to Mark for an injury that has been plaguing me since 2015. I am a broadway dancer and injured my low back during the run of a show. After countless doctors visits and being told I needed a career ending surgery I came to Mark feeling defeated and I was in a tremendous amount of pain. when asked to touch my toes, I could hunch my shoulders forward and that was about the extent of range of motion until I hit a massive wall of pain. 3 months later I am able to touch my toes and I did my first cross fit workout. I still have a ways to go, but I am thrilled that Mark gave me my life back. I am so grateful for the work he has done and I look forward to my weekly visits. I couldn't be happier with the rigor and results of my consultation with Mark. It's been just two weeks since I started on his plan for strengthening my core, and the results are already evident. Some background: I'm 61, an athlete and tennis player, with an on-and-off history of lower back problems. Things have been stiff back there for several months. I saw Mark on recommendation from one of his colleagues, and his assessment and examination were about as thorough as could be. Complete history, plus a minute-by-minute inquiry into my gym routine, plus what I did on the tennis court, and that was before I even stood up and moved. The physical exam was as thorough as the chalk talk. I moved, bent, twisted, response was assessed, bent some more, and some more. Mark truly sought to understand before making himself understood. Diagnosis was clear and reassuring. I was given a complete set of core-building and strengthening exercises and in two weeks I'm already seeing the results. I'm bending better and moving better on the court. Not only that, he sent me an email with video guides to all the exercises, and has stayed in good touch. I was thrilled with my experience working with Mark! I was having back pain and spasms that prevented me from making it through a full day working from home without pain. This also limited how much I could attend Crossfit classes, which I had been doing for 3+ years. With Mark's guidance, I was able to find proper standing postural alignment, a comfortable seated position at the desk, and implement this pain-free alignment across my Crossfit lifts. I am working at home with no pain and have fully returned to Crossfit! Dr. Mark is simply the best! I had major surgery on my foot, including bone debridement, Achilles removal/repair, and major ligament repair, and after only a few visits with Dr. Mark my surgeon was shocked by the strength in my ankle and toes! Dr. Mark explains and demonstrates everything thoroughly, including drawings on his door to expand a thought. I am also plus sized and he treats me as he treats any other patient and abides by the HAES standards! I cannot recommend MVMT highly enough. I was having debilitating back pain after my second C-section. At the worst points I couldn't even stand. Mark and Carolyn rehabilitated me, and taught me how to access muscle groups that had not been working for me. They developed a thoughtful, personalized, and adaptable program for me. Going in to the physical therapy sessions, I had some severe shoulder/neck discomfort and lack of mobility. It may not sound serious, but it would get in the way of my tennis serve for example. Every session Mark would detailedly assess the range of mobility for certain movements, and keep track of any progress. He'd do some work on the uncomfortable areas to temporarily relieve the issue, and then focus on exercises to work on preventing it from happening again. After a few months, my mobility and understanding of the situation both improved greatly, and now I'm able keep up with the exercises in order to prevent the issues from arising again. I've had an incredible experience working with Mark at MVMT. I have two lumbar spine injuries and a thoracic / cervical spine issue that has caused me chronic pain for the past 5 years. I began seeing Mark 3 months ago mainly for my upper back/neck/shoulder/head pain caused by the thoracic and cervical issues. I can honestly say that working with Mark has been the first time I've felt significant pain relief in those areas for 5 years! He takes the time to understand my needs, work through my muscle pain via massage therapy (which is something I've found a lot of physical therapists won't actually take the time to do), and has a deep understanding of the human body and how even the smallest areas function. Mark has treated me for a few different injuries in the last several years, and my experience with him couldn't have been better. In one instance, I had severe foot pain and other complications from cuboid syndrome--a misalignment of bones in the foot. With another, I had a pelvis injury from a fall. Mark is an amazing physical therapist. I can't say enough good things about my experience working with him. I'm a personal trainer and an athlete and came to him because I had a hip impingement which was leaving me in severe pain and unable to walk up and down the stairs some days, let alone do my job and train. Mark immediately gave me hope that he could help me and he worked one-on-one with me two times a week for 3 months, carefully monitoring my progress and updating my exercise program each week. Within weeks Mark helped eliminate 80% of my pain and had me back in action. He never told me that I couldn't train or that I should refrain from doing the things I wanted or needed to do.
