We got stranded in the mountains with no cell service and had to get a police officer to radio in a tow for us. The car we rented did not come with a spare tire so we were stuck! Andy showed up and quickly got us back to where we needed to be. The best part is that he fought for us when the rental company was trying to say they would not cover the tow even though they left us no option. He was extremely helpful during the whole process and an all around great guy!

They told me they'd be happy to meet me at my vehicle - approximately 7 miles away from my own destination and approximately 7 miles away from their location in Garden City - at 7PM. 7PM came and I called. Bill told me the driver was en route and to call him in 20 minutes if they had not shown. I was a little frustrated by this as we had schedule a time but I understand, things happen. 20 minutes came and went and I called Bill as instructed. He gave me the 20 minutes line again. I told him I was frustrated by their poor communication and lack of respect for my time. Bill didn't care or even offer an apology - he made excuses and I told him I would rather give my money to someone else. At 7:26 I called Boise Valley. At 7:58 I had paid their driver (says my card receipt) as he had my car loaded up and ready to go by that time.

I couldn't have done this without him in the end! I would like to give these guys 10 Stars. ********** Thank you - Lori M.

Absolutely Terrible Experience - Avoid This Shop…read more I took my 2023 Denali in for a simple repair after it was bumped in a parking lot on the bedside. I was told the repair would take about a week. Two weeks later, I went to pick it up and was shocked at the poor quality of work. The paint was awful -- the rocker panel wasn't even painted, there were runs in the clear coat, and the gravel guard looked completely different from the factory side. They agreed to fix it, but after another week, I picked up my truck and it somehow looked even worse. I was then told, "That's the best we can do, and if you want it to look good, you'll need to take it to another shop." This is the worst customer service and workmanship I've ever experienced. I would never trust them with a vehicle again.

I had no idea where to take my truck but started checking Yelp and found Gem State Diesel. I called and talked to Mike who said to bring it on in. After a long tow truck ride I dropped the truck off. They inspired a lot of confidence but couldn't get it done immediately though, which was understandable as it was a big job. Turbo, etc. Mike called me a couple days later and said it was done. I picked it up and it ran great! Fast forward: My luck is I was coming back through Boise area when I developed a fuel leak yesterday. I wasn't too far from GSD so I limped it in there.
