Even a few days later, when I thought of more things to ask, he was quick to respond and made sure I got the info I needed. I asked a lot of off the wall things, but he was patient and made sure I understood the explanation of different types of patios and materials. Before starting the project, he walked me through the plan and introduced me to my project manager, Luis. Luis was great, he kept me updated the whole way, even during the first week when I was out of town. I had no worries and I was able to enjoy my vacation while full on construction was going on at my home. Every crew that came out, roofing, painting, cement, told me what they were there to do and asked if I had any questions before getting started. I also have to mention Blanca in the office, every time I called, she was so friendly and easy to talk to, it was like I'd known her for years. The end result? My patio is beautiful! I was torn between putting money down on a larger home and moving, or building a patio to add square footage for gatherings. I am so happy I went with a new patio instead of the debt of a new home. I had to personally put getting any remodeling and home additions on hold while I cared for my dad for over a year. We talked about my patio dream before he passed in March. He kept telling me -"get that patio done". I'll think of him every time I'm enjoying my new space.

He said he'd do it, so we kept him in mind for the job. In May 2023, we decided to simply replace the whole awning and go high tech. Ron came out to review the details of the project, and he's a guy that is always on time. Ron's a very personable guy and lays out your options and cost very clearly. We selected their "Eclipse Retractable Shading System" that is powered by Somfy System, which specializes in motorized solutions for homes and buildings. My wife picked out the color and fabric of the cover and we could not be happier with the way it turned out. The day of installation went very well. Ron had two guys remove, cut up, and haul off the old awning and install the new one. Ron was here and did the final setup. The system comes with remotes that work well. We added Somfy's TaHoma Wi-Fi system that works great and is easy to setup from your smart phone. We love it. Our new awning is providing great valve to our home. Ron and his team will be there to provide excellent support if needed. We highly recommend Excel Awning & Shade.

The installation of our two electric awnings was superb and, while a missing accessory required them to come back a few days later, they followed up exactly as promised - a rare quality, these days. We first considered Sunsetter awnings, but, after looking on line, found out that many complained about their lack of service and support. After doing much research, we found Excel Awning & Shade, which sells, installs, and supports Ranier awnings. We couldn't be happier with our selection of both the awnings and the company that installed them. While we are confident that our new awnings will provide good service, we are confident that Ron and his team will be there to provide us with top-shelf support if ever needed. First class products and first class service - a winning combination!

They charge over $1400 for a patio cover they pay undocumented immigrants $757 (materials and labor included) to install. They take advantage of them this way because who are they going to complain to? This company is garbage. Chad, is one of their sales people and patio cover designers. He is a piece of work. He takes full ownership for his design flaws and simply says "well, that's how I designed it". No interest in a resolution, told me to call someone else. He didn't even know when it was installed. Anybody home up there? The awning is lopsided and very flimsy. It is made of steel and is very weak compared to the 30 year old aluminum awning that existed before it. That makes ZERO sense. Chad also let me know that when it came to price and quality on gutters, "you are better off getting your gutters from a gutter company". That's good to know! These folks rush to get a contract signed, then have no real install date. The window was "about a week, well.. shouldn't be more than two weeks but we will call you when we're on the way to make sure you're home.. only takes a few hours to install." The installers were nice. Didn't make a mess and worked hard. They were fallowing the poorly designed plans that Chad takes full credit for. At the end of the day, I'm left with a not so great patio cover. Crooked and set up to collect debris on one side and waterfall over the walkway/window/utility meter on the other.
