TLDR: I wanna go back to Germany just so I can eat Mustafas for every meal. It is the best kebap you can get in Europe. It was literally my phone screen for a year and I was obsessed. The highlight of my trip. If I had to choose a last meal to have, it's highly that Mustafas will be my answer. *Note*: My visit was in December 2019 but I just had to finish my review for anyone looking for great street food in Germany. After traveling in Europe for 3 weeks, Mustafa's has hands down been my favourite meal and is one of the highlights of my trip. I am so thankful for my friend for recommending me it and I make sure to tell everyone about Mustafas when I hear they will be going to Germany. My friends and I adored Mustafas so much we had it for 3 meals in a row. We considered going for a 4th time but had to convince ourselves we should try to eat somewhere else. We found out that we wouldn't get a chance to eat it again before we left the city and regretted not coming back. // FOOD // We tried many kebaps afterwards and nothing compared to Mustafa's. It is so rich and juicy in flavour that melts in your mouth. It makes for the perfect bite each time! The bread is super crispy and gives a wonderful crunch sensation. There are no crumbs that fall out either! The bread does not make a mess. All the toppings add so much flavour. My friend and I could not shut up about Mustafas. My other friend who joined later in our Europe trip wasn't able to try it in Munich and thought we were exaggerating. Once he was able to try it himself in Berlin, he said that even though we were raving about it, it deserved even more hype than we gave it. It's that good. TRUST. I always get the first thing on the menu - the gemuse kebap. It hits the spot each time. It was a great value the fact that it was an affordable price and high quality. It definitely can be hard to eat while you walk since there's so much food. If you can, try to find a place to sit/stand and eat. If you have to walk, it's not too messy. Just be careful because it is a lot of food. It started sprinkling one time so we stood underneath a roof in the alleyway next to Mustafas. // SERVICE // Once you order, you receive your food quickly. They prepare the food in front of you and ask what toppings you want. The workers are all friendly. // LOCATION // The line will take 30 mins - 1 hour (pre-pandemic) but is well worth the wait. It is outdoors so it can get cold outside and there is no seating. Mustafa's is on the corner and across from the shopping center. The wait around 6 pm was about 1.5 hours long, which kind of reduced their rating for me personally. However, the Doner was likely some of the best food I've ever had in my life. Super impressed with the flavor profile--I was actually considering coming back for seconds during my stay in Berlin despite the horrendous wait times. It's 3pm. I just landed in Munich and got to my hotel. A quick Yelp search for döner kebap revealed this shop a short walk from my hotel. I walk. The line at 3:30 pm was about 20 people strong. There's no place to sit as it's just a walk up window. They don't speak much english here but getting a chicken sandwich was easy (they only have chicken and veggie and they didn't take well to my customizing the toppings...well they ignored my request or didn't understand). Never the less, an artful sandwich was handed to me and it was delicious. I kinda wish they had plastic forks because it was hard to eat and walk...but I managed none the less. This place is the Munich "branch" of the famous Mustafa's Gemüse Kebap in Berlin, which I have never tried (yet). You will have to spend a long time in line (1 hour at 7 pm on Saturday in my case) but it is worth. The reason the service is slow is that they wait that the meat is well cooked/grilled and they don't speed up the process by serving raw chicken (fortunately). All the ingredients are fresh (vegetables, herbs, etc.) and flavorful and the kebab itself is the best I have ever had. Given the fact that it is over-filled, EUR 5.90 is a very reasonable price. read more

Been trying to find the best Döner in Munich and I've eaten quite a few. The chicken kind of throws me off and makes this tastes more like a sandwich than a Döner, but everything is still delicious. The roasted vegetable is really good and sets this place above other Döner places. If you get it with everything (alles), just beware the combination of sauces is a bit too sweet. The second time I had with just yogurt sauce and it was fine. There is also the red spicy (scharf) and this other thousand island looking sauce. The vegetarian version is just more of their roasted vegetables. I don't think they have falafel. read more

As an American who has only had Döner Kebab in Austin, Texas at the delicious but short-lived Verts who imported it from Berlin, I thought it this place was really good and I completely enjoyed my meal, despite eating it on the street. At 3pm they had run out of everything except chicken and I waited in line half an hour, but at least I was expecting that thanks to fellow Yelpers. The chicken was flavorful and moist, not tough, the veggies fresh, the sauces very complementary, and the duram hot and crispy on the outside and tender inside. I ordered my doner with everything - all the sauces, all the vegs. I stood and ate it by the street barrier along with everyone else. I am a small eater and could only finish half of it. Frankly we tried it because there was a long line always. Priced between 5-6 euros you get a very big doner that is filled with meat, cooked+raw veggies, potatos, tomato, union, sauces, etc. and you can decide whatever you want to add. The staff patiently explained what the sauces were which made us tourist understand what the ingredients actually were, given that it's my friend's first time trying kebab. As tourists in Munich me and my fiancé decided to try this spot out because it was literally a few steps from our Hotel. We went down around 8PM and there was a line which we stayed in for about 15 minutes. We ordered 2 Germuskebab, chicken and a vegetarian one. The bread they used to fill was thin and crunchy. The chicken was filled with vegetables (eggplant, red bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, sliced potato) and topped with feta cheese and a squeeze of lemon or lime? It was delicious anyways. The vegetarian version was the same except there was more veggies inside. Once you order the food is made right away and in less than a minute. Overall, it was delicious and was a great value meal. A Completely Satisfactory Food Experience!! If you're in Munich, and you need a break from German fare, this place will absolutely not disappoint you. Chicken is on the spit and the veggies are both fried and fresh. Combined with their spices...you have just entered food Walhalla! You can get it with or without chicken, you can even get it as a side salad if you wish. Either way, meat or vegetarian, you are taking the Autobahn to flavor central. Very very good Kebab's. I would say its second to Türkitch in Untergiesing. They spice the meat and have roasted vegetables which separates them from most other corner kebab shops. The only downside is that there is usually a line a dozen people long. I don't think I've ever walked by and not seen people in line. They could also use a dedicated cashier as the guy there currently drifts from taking money to making food and it slows down the whole process. read more

This place holds up to what it promises. I ordered a kebap and was pleasantly surprised by its many flavours. Also, it wasn't as greasy as you would expect from these kinds of food. However there definitely seems to be a bottleneck in the preparing process, as the service is incredibly slow and there are few employees. I waited about 20 min. before I could even place my order. The price is reasonable as you get a quality product. Overall, I would recommend eating here, although you should be patient enough to stand in line for quite some while. read more

This place is disgusting!!! I watched them place some fresh vegetables from the fryer on the area to be served. I was excited because they were fresh and looked delicious. However when I ordered my vegetarian wrap he grabbed some vegetables from a bowl in the back and added some spices. I asked him why he used those vegetables instead of the freshly cooked ones. His reply was..." They're the same." If they were the same why did he not just use the freshly cooked ones??? I returned to my hotel, opened the wrap and the vegetables were definitely old, cold and greasy. So of course I did what anyone would do....... I walked back to that place,stood in line again and asked for another wrap..... but this time one with freshly cooked vegetables....... I told him I did not want it spicy. He added Sriracha sauce........ Now I ask you ..... is Sriracha spicy? I asked him if that was Sriracha. He lied and said, "No,it's special sauce." That "special" sauce was in a Sriracha bottle!! So needless to say I will not be going back and that wrap will remain in the hotel refrigerator. If you're wondering who made the wrap, it was the man shaving the Shawarma in the photo. read more
