I took a couple of lessons there as well to get a few chops on boogie boogie piano, and Andy was great! I never felt pressured to sign up for huge packages and Andy helped me find resources to further my boogie boogie passion! I can't believe that little ole' Castle Rock has such an outstanding place for great music lessons and quality and affordable instruments! I've been a customer for more than 7 years and love that they've only grown!!! Jason (the owner) has been nothing but helpful in both my and my daughter's progression in developing a love for music. He's straight forward and won't give you the run around for anything. I'm not a fan of wishy washy or pandering, and Jason is straight-up - I always know where I stand with him, and have always felt well treated :) I wish I could give a constructive criticism, but my experience over the years with Jason and Castle Rockmusic have been great - so keep it up! :)

If you are a music lover of any instrument, this is a need to go to place. I WOULD highly recommend…read moreit. I had originally discovered this company years ago and formed a outstanding relationship with the owner, Gordon. I drove over there the other day because I definitely wanted to give Gordon's cause a donation. Gordon does this thing which is called "Guitars for our Troops". He sends out Guitar's to people in the military that are at war, want to learn how to play guitar or some even have PTSD and finding a way thru music helps calm the nerves and chases out some of those demons. Gordon ended up buying his own building and moved to this larger place a couple years ago. As I visit often, I just love to go in and talk to Gordon and see all the instruments although I play none. I went the other day and was very happy to see JP who sometimes works out of there, he does private guitar lessons and was my daughters first and only guitar instructor. Gordon is working towards turning this amazing building into an instrument Museum, I know he will get it done. Our family had decided to donate our old Victrola that has been in the family for years.

Huge thanks to Von at Von's Violin Shop today. I'd been…read moredealing with a really frustrating problem for a while: either the G or D string would barely speak unless I pressed extremely hard with my left hand. The weird part was that whenever I changed one of those strings, the new one would suddenly respond much more easily... and then the other one would start having the same issue. It kept switching back and forth and was driving me crazy. It turned out the bridge was crooked. My untrained eyes couldn't really tell so I didn't think that was the problem. Von carefully adjusted it and also shared some great stories from his years in the business, including working with Isaac Stern. That combination of skill and genuine care meant a lot. Really grateful. Prior to this, I also had my bows rehaired here and their pricing is fairly reasonable. If you're in the Denver area and need violin work done right, this is the place.
