There's several type of music lessons to choose from and it really depends on what you needs are. I met the owner and founder and he is really very accommodating and friendly. I had my little five year-old grandson with me while waiting for his sister to get done with her drum lesson and he played with my little grandson. Prices are not bad either. My daughter started orchestra at her school and was really excited to play a new instrument. After a couple months she expressed not learning much so I decided to sign her up for private lessons. I researched a few places and landed on Music Lab in Northridge. Why I decided on Music Lab was a number of factors. Location - it was a quick drive and convenient. Plenty of parking. Studio - multiple private rooms so there could be multiple lessons going at same time. Price - it was comparable to other studios in surrounding areas. Flexibility- they have a number of instructors who specialize in a number of instruments. They work with your schedule and find instructor that works for you. Promptness- the owner, Sergey, is very responsive in both email and text messages. He's always professional, polite and friendly. Lastly, the instructors - my daughter has Mr. Jordan as her instructor and she really enjoys her lessons with him. She learned more from him in her 1st few lessons than she has at her school in months. He provides feedback and always encourages her. I've seen how other instructors interact with other kids and the parents as well and it's nothing but professional and you can tell the instructors have fun and enjoy teaching the kids. I like that if the instructor is not able to attend, Sergey will notify and give us an option with another instructor, if available, or double the next lesson to make up the time.
