I would not hire this group again…read more This mariachi group was hired to perform at my surprise birthday party earlier this month and I was extremely disappointed to find out how unprofessional and disrespectful some of their behavior was. We had a small gathering of about 30-40 guests on a large property, with only two little kids in attendance. The kids were enjoying themselves, running around and having fun. Not interfering with the performance whatsoever. While my sister-in-law, the mom of the two little kids, was getting ready to bring out my birthday cupcakes so everyone could sing Happy Birthday, she overheard one of the mariachis (circled blue) whisper to another member (circled red) "Gente, agarren a sus niños" The other member (circled red) turned around, made eye contact with my sister-in-law, and gave an uncomfortable smile, clearly realizing she had overheard the comment. No apology or acknowledgment of the comment just said. She felt completely disrespected and embarrassed. You are hired to perform at someone's private event, not to make rude remarks about the family and guests who are paying for your services. Had we been made aware of this comment at the time, we would have immediately ended their performance and asked them to leave. There is absolutely no excuse for that kind of disrespect. We went out of our way to make sure the entire group was well taken care of. We provided them with food, drinks, and even shots. We treated them with kindness and hospitality, only to find out that they were making snarky remarks about our family behind our backs. This Mariachi lack professionalism and respect for their customers. I would not hire this group again nor would I recommend them.

I knew he could play the Spanish guitar (because I heard him in his videos) but I had no idea if he could play traditional guitar, because I hadn't heard him do so.
