My son is 11, and he's definitely not the type to do something he doesn't enjoy--and we would never…read moreforce him to. But from his very first trial class at Music Lab, he instantly connected with Noah. He's more than just a teacher. He encourages my son's creativity, listens to his opinions, and makes him feel respected while learning. I truly think that's why my son enjoys his classes so much. He even asked if he could attend more sessions with Noah! Noah teaches other instruments as well, and he even got my son interested in learning more than one instrument, which honestly surprised us in the best way. My son has only been with Music Lab for a little over a month now, but his progress has been mind-blowing--and that is not an exaggeration. The growth we've seen in such a short amount of time has honestly amazed us. I spent a lot of time researching music schools in the area, and I'm so happy we chose Music Lab. The class prices are also very competitive, especially for the quality of instruction and attention the students receive. It has absolutely been worth it!

There's several type of music lessons to choose from and it really depends on what you needs are. I met the owner and founder and he is really very accommodating and friendly. I had my little five year-old grandson with me while waiting for his sister to get done with her drum lesson and he played with my little grandson. Prices are not bad either. This place is highly recommended!

Walked into Guitar Center looking for a pack of guitar strings. James slowly emerged from behind a…read morewall of amps like he'd just been summoned by the opening riff of Sweet Child O' Mine. He looked at my guitar, closed his eyes for a few seconds, nodded thoughtfully, and said, "Yeah... she's got potential, man." Then he scratched his beard, stared at the ceiling like he was downloading a firmware update directly from the Rock Gods, and quietly said, "Follow me." What followed was less of a shopping trip and more of a spiritual pilgrimage. We wandered Guitar Center for what felt like three business days. Along the way he high-fived a drummer, had a philosophical debate with a bass player about whether tone is a mindset or a lifestyle, explained signal chains using a slice of pizza, a lava lamp, and what I'm pretty sure was quantum physics, then disappeared into the acoustic room. He eventually reappeared riding an office chair, tuned three guitars without looking, handed me the exact strings I needed, recommended an obscure pedal from 1987, and an album I'd never heard of that has since changed my life. Before I could thank him, he simply nodded, muttered, "Rock on, dude," and vanished back behind the amp wall like a cryptid protecting the sacred tones. I still don't know if James actually works at Guitar Center or if he only materializes whenever someone's tone is in danger.

I tried to purchase an amp today through Guitar Center and it was nothing but a mess and I was met…read morewith nothing but incompetence and run around fake answers from the staff. I purchased it online at the location I was going to and it said that it was in stock and would be ready in 2 hours and they would notify me by email. They never notified me so I called the store and was placed on hold indefinitely once. And the second time I called someone just picked up the phone and then hung it up again. Yeah. Great customer service right? So I go into the store and I'm met with blank stairs from people behind the counter. I tried not to be too rude to them because they are just staff but at the same time they were just giving me a bunch of BS run around answers. First one of them tried to tell me it always takes two to three business days and I said that is incorrect I was told 2 hours. I showed them that on the website and that was just met with a Blank Stare of course. So they went from saying that it always takes two to three business days, to that the amp was there but the payment hadn't gone through implying that it was my bank's fault or that they were the reason. I showed them on my banking app that it had gone through. The guy said that it was still pending though so no purchases with a debit card can be made if something is pending. I explained to him that is fundamentally wrong lol. They just kept trying to make up excuses. Then the guy says "well if you did get the amp here, the only one we have is open box." Interesting because I paid for a unopened one from that store. I asked him why I was able to pay for an unopened one when apparently the only one available here is open box and he didn't have an answer. They're online inventory seems massively flawed and bugged. With a big company like this, sometimes things can happen, which is understandable but having to deal with a massively incompetent staff that was clearly trained poorly just adds to it and it fascinates me that Guitar Center would be this fast and loose because we can just order the stuff online. Does this sound like an experience you want to go through? Order online from a different company like I will.

I picked up some percussion stuff for my son, wish he was with me to look through the drum kits, cymbals and guitar's though. I picked up a few smaller items but I feel got for a good deal. There was a line but only waited about 15 minutes to get in. The store was packed so Iy a few could go in at a time as others checkout and came out.

SEPT 3, 2026 UPDATE:…read more CLOSING SOON: Owner recently died. Unlike those "cry wolf" Craigslist ads posted for several years, Jammin Jersey will actually CLOSE forever soon and do a REAL liquidation / estate sale there this weekend: Friday, Saturday & Sunday, Sept. 4 thru 6: https://abc7.com/videoClip/19772304/?link_source=ta_first_comment&taid=6a98dbb0a25f5e000152c8cc&fbclid=IwdGRjcAUGsnhwZG9mBWZkaWQWUNv78nSsaQjUl8bF8gPZTLmbnqcpZ2V4dG4DYWVtAjExAHNydGMGYXBwX2lkCjY2Mjg1NjgzNzkAAR7UjK4vEkByG1tfWk7nBZkMxrflkne8YJuJIRf4K3y-vuZ-z5W9HfAMXmvSvw_aem_97m9895WNHfOucjZehgcRQ -------- It's basically tons of musical gear & equipment in various used and new condition & hoarded up and stacked from ceiling to floor & with the owner dude sitting behind a counter ready to take cash only, cuz he don't have a credit card terminal?! Decent selection of drum gear, cymbals, etc., guitar cables & straps; strings that might be years old; used speaker cones, some guitar and bass cabinets ... Limited selection of guitar pedals, guitars and basses, guitar and bass amps & no tubes for amps. I think a drummer and/or obscure gear hoarder might find something interesting. Location is actually one block away from the Guitar Center Northridge. I probably imagine that Dave Grohl, whose Studio 606 is also located nearby in Northridge, probably came here one time and said, "Naaahhh, nope." I come here for bargains on guitar straps, strings & cables; but everything else is inexplicably priced at MSRP ?! Hoarded, cluttered, dingy, messy gear vibe, (like it all came out directly from a storage unit or estate sale of some hoarder house) might be a big turn off, though. Open Saturdays 12 - 5 and sometimes Sundays 12 - 5.
