Very upset I have to make this post, took my saxophone here about 6 years ago for repadding and a…read moregreat job was done then. Fast forward to 2022, and I'm disappointed, took the same saxophone in to get a few problems fixed and a quick once over, played this instrument almost everyday for 5 years and knew it inside and out, was billed for work that I had no idea was needed/problems that never were a problem for me. The best part is the only problem I knew was present wasn't fixed, I mean you come here expecting your instrument to be fixed. To add insult to injury, my brother needed a simple fix on his sax, it was returned broken after something was knocked around and never checked to make sure everything was working. I'm very sad I have to post this but I noticed all the reviews are older and not a proper reflection of the current quality of work.

Hubs was immediately impressed by the tool selections which I'm sure we will be back to look at more at a later date. We were asked if we needed any help with what we were looking for. So many vinyls for any collector and though no CDs were there that day we told each other we will be back. After I got home I found their Facebook page which is fun to follow. Be sure to check it out. After not stopping in a pawn type shop in years I was not disappointed. The prices are reasonable that I came across and the people were welcoming.

Even now, though I only visit the area occasionally, I've bought jewelry here, repaired jewelry, modified jewelry, have had jewelry custom-made, and they are always easy to work with and very professional. just now New I have…read morevery little experience with jewelry stores, so I was incredibly anxious when I went to McGivern to have my engagement ring resized and to get some inherited jewelry appraised. When I walked into McGivern, I was immediately greeted and treated so kindly. Staff went the extra mile to help me and explain the timing, cost and options. My resizing and appraisals were completed in about 7 days which I thought was remarkable. My next trip in, I decided to resize a bracelet and reset a ring. Mike personally helped me and was incredibly helpful. Once my jewelry updates were complete- within the stated timeframe, by the way- I picked them up and I was absolutely floored at how beautifully they turned out. I would recommend McGivern to everyone and anyone and I plan to use them, exclusively, for any future jewelry needs.

They said I needed a main gasket and crown gasket replaced. $60, and they would have it in a few weeks. I came to Yelp and found Tom Rumpf. I was wary to just leave such an item with a cash for gold shop which does watch repairs on the side. When I walked into Tom's business, I felt almost immediately that he is a trustworthy guy and that he would to an excellent job. Tom restores vintage watches regularly, and sells them as well. He even had a few watches which were similar to the one which I had brought in, so I was reassured that he knew what he was doing. My preliminary expectation was that a repair to a vintage Omega which was keeping very bad time would set me back somewhere around $100. Tom did it for $50. I could not recommend him enough and I feel that I will be a long-term customer.
