At first, I was leery of MR's products. The prices seemed low for their claims, most of the blades were made in India and the catalogs seemed a bit on the cheesy side. I gambled on a few of their pieces when they went on sale and performed research on their primary manufacturer: Windlass Steelcrafts. That company has been making military swords, knives and bayonets under contract for over 75 years. The quality is definitely there. I have since added numerous of their higher end pieces to my collection and have become a full blown addict. If you are looking for authentic medieval weaponry or gear from a company with outstanding customer service, look no further. read more

This company shipped an item to a small, independant costume shop fully two years after an order was placed, did not reach out in any way to confirm or check in as to whether it was wanted or needed, then refused to cancel or refund the order, and closed the shop's wholesale account (effectively "firing" them as a customer). I ordered a pair of knives July 13th. I was excited because I was having trouble finding this exact pair that I wanted to get as a gift for my fiancé. His birthday is at the end of August and I figured I would have time for them to get here as there was no mention on the site of them being out of stock or any reason for dely. In fact, if you look at the item right now, no mention of it being out of stock. What it is does say is that the item ships separately and no expedited shipping. Which I now know, that this mean this ships from a different warehouse/manufacturer. Again though, there's no real explanation on the website of what that means exactly or anything to imply that shipping may take longer. I had to find an expected shipping time by looking in the FAQ sections which indicated any item in stock should be shipped out with in 48 hours. I've called a three times to check on the status of this order and all they can tell me is that they were scheduled to be mailed out mid to late August. I will say everyone I've spoken with has been very kind and understanding and the last person I spoke with today said that she would reach out to the manufacturer to get and ETA. That is the only reason I have given two stars instead of one. I'm more disappointed in lack of transparency on the website. No estimated shipping time was provided and trying to find information about shipping is difficult. What information is available is very general. Had I known upfront that the item would not even be mailed out until mid to late August I would have continued searching other places or a different item. I highly suggest making edits to the site regarding shipping times. I understand delays happen and these last couple of years with covid have made shipping a nightmare but again, I'm very disappointed in the lack of transparency on when an item will be shipped and out expected to arrive. Be absolutely sure of what you are ordering, and understand the currency and tariffs that may be added. Even though I arrived at the site from a Canadian affiliate, the prices were in US funds - but this is not stated either on the site, nor on the invoice. My $250 order ballooned to over $400 (including previously unmentioned Duty). When I was finally able to get ahold of customer serverce (long waits on hold, to be dropped to voicemail), I spoke to someone about returning the product, but many weeks later I still have not heard back from them and even received a bill from FedEx! The Two Handed Sword Of Roven, (which we called a long sword back in the day...) my son gave me as a Christmas Gift, was and is AMAZING. We could only dream of owning a real sword like this when we were young men. These are REAL. High tempered steel, quality hand craftsmanship, there's some pretty crude stuff out there on the market today, but this is a quality piece of workmanship. It was literally sharp enough to shave with when I opened the box and pulled it out of it's sheath, while maybe not too practical, VERY impressive. read more

Highly recommend! I placed an order online, and was initially a bit frustrated with some confusion and misunderstanding with discounts and promos. Website was not particularly clear and then we had a duplicate charge. However, customer service while initially slow (assuming due to COVID-19 and work shutdowns), was still responsive and resolved everything. They were pleasant to deal with, and probably would have been more responsive if I was able to call (I was overseas at the time I placed the order), but overall a very satisfactory experience. Now for what really matters: I ordered a sword that was quickly delivered and exceeded my expectations. Quality is outstanding and for a real sword made of 1065 carbon steel not just a cheap decorative one, the price was excellent. Workmanship is excellent, down to the finest details. If I could give zero stars, that is what I would give this business. I purchased a replica of a Knights Templar shield from this business on Black Friday through its website. When I received the item, it was clearly defective and unacceptable. The metal was discolored, stained, and damaged and was not something that I could display in my home or give as a gift. It looked like it had been sitting outside or something had dripped all over it. I immediately wrote an e-mail message to their customer service department and followed up with a call to get a return shipping label, which they were reluctant to provide -- it took several days of back and forth. Their customer service representatives finally sent me the label, and the item was returned by FedEx. They keep telling me that they are processing the return, but after 2 weeks of having the returned item, still no credit to my VISA account. At one point they told me that they are considering a claim against FedEx since they believe the item may have been damaged in transit (very unlikely since there was no damage to the box when it was delivered to me). This business just continues to lie to me about the refund. I wouldn't go near them again. They sell inferior merchandise and engage in sketchy business practices. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would after this crap I've been dealing with today. My husband ordered a axe back in September 2017 finally got it last month (December) due to it being back ordered. We paid for it twice, in September and this month January 2018. This whole time my husband kept calling and double checking it was coming and was already paid for. So all of a sudden there goes money for the axe yet again this month and now puts my account in the negative. The argued with my husband and said it was my banks fault and they couldn't do anything. Great items but shit for customer service. Make sure your items are in stock and ready to ship if you buy from this because if not your going to pay double. The ladies on the phone kept raising their voice. They told us they would call back and never did. BTW DO NOT USE YOUR BANK CARD they said this isn't the first time this has happened and they dont fix it so you'll probably get charged twice for one item. Hope yall have better luck if you try because the pieces are amazing but you could end up fucked and out of more money and this isn't cheap. read more
