I loved this museum. I did a tour around the stadium and also a tour of the museum, and I just loved it.
There is a big wall that follows different levels in the museum where you have years (ex.1988) and a description of what happened in Portugal in that year and what happened in other countries, alongside football facts. It was beautifully made, so if you go with someone who is not a big football fan they won't get too bored.
The trophies won by Benfica sportsmen (not only football) are to be found and some of them are breathtaking.
My favorite part was the elevator ride, which I will not spoil, but I can say that I felt like I was "there"
There is a beautiful big wall honoring the late Eusébio and that alone makes you feel the love for the team and the players.
It's definitely a place to go visit, specially since football is such a big part of the Portuguese culture.
I loved it, and would not mind going back to experience it all again. read more
