Our memberships cost more than planet fitness and they manage to be open 24/7, the least the Y could do is be open until 10pm. It's insanely hard to get out of work and get there and get a work out in before they close and forget about making it to the sauna.

If the walked the floor they would see this and instruct these people about gym etiquette. On the other hand two staff members who seem to be in management positions are rude and kind of lazy. It's disappointing to see younger people with such poor work ethics.

I took full advantage and had a personal training session with Travis, who was AWESOME, and offered some great tips that I hadn't heard before. If you can book with him, definitely do it, he was great! I also took the Tabata class with Ginny, and she was upbeat, friendly, and kept the class moving at an excellent pace. Each employee of the gym has been welcoming to both my sister and I since we have started going. 'Child Watch' (childcare) is also provided during most morning classes but you must check the class schedule that is posted on the gyms website to make sure. Childcare is $5.00/class (classes are usually between 45 mins-1hr) and you can only pay with cash. We have also found that the instructors and staff who work during the afternoon/evening are much more knowledgable of the front desk and are more welcoming to people of all fitness levels compared to the morning instructors. For new members the gym offers your first two classes free and then gives you the introductory rate of 5 classes for $25.00 (originally $50.00). If you decide to do a monthly membership then it is $60.00/month but if you're like me and prefer a certain class once a week and don't really care to go more than that, you can pay $10.00/class. Overall, it's a nice gym and the two free classes are a huge perk. If you live in the area then it's worth at least checking out.

Several trainers (Steve) were verbally harassing to me and others which was reported to the Assistant Manager (Mary) who did nothing to remedy the issue, so I terminated my membership. Most trainers are fine and helpful (Jerry, Jervey, Andrew) but others just want to leave early. Equipment is mostly antiquated, hours are horrible and some trainers act like bad cops who overreach their authority. YMCA and Health Quest are much better options with better equipment, amenities, longer hours and management and trainers that care. Worst experience and would warn others to stay away from this Bizarro Gym, where the voice of the customer is never heard.
