I went there today to drop off a boat. They are always pleasant. Helpful and do the job right. The person I was with has been going there for 13 years. That says something in itself. Reliable and a place that will be around for a long time. There is something to always get done on a boat and they stand by their word. They are trustworthy and a place where locals flock to - People are working here...not just standing around. Expect that if you use their bathroom it is typical of a boat repair place!

I found Jeff off a craigslist ad when I first purchased my boat. He came out and took a look at my…read moreboat the first time and replaced the 4 batteries. He recommended the replacement of the exhaust manifolds at that same time. I had him come out a couple other times to take care of some items and was provided an estimate on the exhaust manifolds. I called around and was trying to figure out why Jeff was 35% higher on the parts. He stated he was using Mercruiser parts and he only does 10% increase on his cost. I decided to move forward and he started to take the boat apart. The next day he stated he forgot to include risers on the exhaust manifold for parts and the price increased by over $2,000.00 suddenly and he took the flush kits away from the original estimate. I had a long conversation to try to understand this price increase while in the back of my mind the boat was pulled apart at this point. He agreed to do a small reduction on the job. This led to him being very rude while the job was being completed. When the engine was placed all back together Jeff had a lot of issues getting the engines started and when they started, they mis-fired. He stated he got the coils wet and they needed to dry out. This was a few hours of mis-firing. I took the boat out that evening and only one engine cut out and started again after a bit. I decided to take the boat out again a few days later and the engine that cut out now will not start at all and the port had issues starting and finally stated after some back-firing. I informed Jeff of all this and he was very annoyed during the conversation. He stated the engine coils are gone on one engine and the other seems to be going. Now not having any issues with these parts before I felt Jeff would be a more kind and work with me. He tried to get a 50% increase on the parts for what I could purchase them for. I told him I would purchase the parts, he stated ok. After this he never would respond on replacing the parts once I received them. I needed to hire a new boat mechanic and during the install of the ignition coils we found that the spark plugs did not get replaced and I paid Jeff to complete this during the exhaust manifold repair. So, I needed now again to purchase new spark plugs and pay to have them installed. It took several parts to finally get the engines running again (almost 3K of parts and service cost) If you want a mechanic that will not stand behind his work and charge you for parts he does not install, Jeff is your guy.
