Murrayfield Parish Church serves the Murrayfield and Roseburn area of Edinburgh. It's probably the best known church in the area and from what I understand, boasts a pretty large congregation.
I can't speak for the religious services offered, as I have no experience, but I have used the Church hall several times. This is where my Kung Fu school has, for some time, held weekend seminars and more importantly testings. As a result most of my experience here has been overshadowed by sheer terror! But this bright hall, colourfully decorated with children's art bordering the walls, has a calming affect.
The Hall can be rented out and is currently host to many weekly and monthly activities mostly geared toward children and the elderly but everyone in between too. Regular activities include choir, yoga, pilates and Scottish country dancing (run by the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society). A full list is provided on their website with details. read more
