Tonight was an estate sale so there was a lifetime of household items for auction. The sale was fast paced with lots of interesting objects for sale. Food and drinks were for sale so you could settle in for the long evening. There were many bargains to be had but the bidding got very aggressive on some valuable items that were put up for auction. I was lucky and got a nice antique East Lake table values over $200 for $47. Joe and Steven do a great job as auctioneers. I'm proud of them as they are my cousins. Just a little biased but speaking the truth. They do more than local sales. Steven holds heavy equipment sales in Louisville every year.

Limited camping gear. Good selection of drinks and snacks. The not so great: the restaurant leaves some to be desired. My husband's meal was served refrigerator cold- a hamburger steak and fries. Both actually cold to the touch and the waitress copped an attitude because we sent it back- they recooked the burger and then brought it back to the table without the fries. Had to request those again. The other people in our party ordered the steak tips and they were very good. I ordered the rib eye steak medium rare- it came well done, and was so tough it wasn't chewable. I had a catfish filet that was fabulous, onion petals that were fabulous and the cheese ravioli were good. Service was great when we first ordered, but it was like our waitress went on break as soon as our food hit the table- we had to flag down someone else over the cold meal, and then no one came back. No drink refills, nothing until the check was dropped on the table. Price was good for the steak tips and catfish, other two items were overpriced for what we received. Would I go there to eat? I will not go out of my way again, but if I'd been on the lake all day and wanted a bite I would go back. Staff need to be trained in how to deal with a situation- no one got angry or snappy with them, but getting an attitude because there was a problem is not how to keep clientele.
