Efrain and Thomas are the best! I was originally planning on going through the divorce process…read morewithout any help except for the marital settlement agreement. However, I got about halfway through the process and wasn't sure if I had actually done the paperwork 100% correctly due to the lack of helpful material online. I found The Document People through Yelp and decided to continue the process through them since they seemed knowledgeable and were affordable. What a great decision! These guys know what they're doing and even corrected some errors on my previously submitted paperwork. They truly made the process stress-free. My divorce is now final and I can't thank Efrain and Thomas enough.

I don't believe Freddie was honest with me…read more I spoke to Freddie about my commercial lease telling him I wanted the building reconveyed back to me because my ground lease had a clause the structure would be maintained. I told him my lease had an arbitration clause and that I wanted to go to arbitration because my lessee violated the clause for not keeping up condition of the property as it fell into a lot of disrepair. I forward my lease, letters and other documents. When I came for the meeting, Freddie and his litigator said I wouldn't win at arbitration because either all the repairs would be made before and the arbitration board wouldn't find in my favor for lack of maintenance as it isn't enough of a basis to justify reconveying the building back to me. Freddie said he has been doing law for over 30 years. I've been around hundreds of attorneys. Anyone practicing law for this long knows the answer to what I wanted at the time of initial contact. Freddie knew when I called I wouldn't be able to win at arbitration. But instead, he took my $5,000 deposit, charged hours of time from it, then disclosed to me what he already knew from the beginning when I came for the appointment. He could of just told me up front what he already knew. He returned $3,500.00 reducing his $2,000.00 original charge, but I think there was inducement fraud in my view. I emailed to justify my position, but Freddie didn't acknowledge my claims even when we spoke on the phone. I don't think he is honest or has good communication skills.

I informed them that I was interested in a free consultation to discuss my rights as a tenant and the issues I'm currently experiencing. I have yet to hear from them. Not a phone call, text or email. I wouldn't know, as I haven't heard from them. First impressions are everything and your silence speaks volumes. I'll find a firm that wants my business.

His assistant answered all of my questions, returned my call as she said she would and had him to call me back with in minutes not hours or days. I briefly met with him over the phone and immediately felt comforted in his rich knowledge for his area of law and expertise. I scheduled the appointment for the next week with homework to do that he assigned. I was impressed to say the least! From our conversation I felt I could trust him. I was eager to meet him in person. Once I arrived at his office, I was greeted by the warm environment, his Assistant and offered any beverage of my choice. He came and got me from the front within minutes. Again, I was comfortable and impressed! After getting to know me and my story in his conference room, and reviewing my homework he asked for, he went in! He was charismatic, empathetic, sincere, so well versed in the law-he wrote a book about it! The book makes legal jargon accessible to common folks like me! Again, I was impressed! Through my tears, my heart was smiling knowing that if nothing else I was in good hands legally! He took notes, shared legal jokes, told funny stories, shared stories about his personal life and upbringing. He went into great detail about the legal process as it pertained to my situation, and was honest above everything else! Our consultation was more than I ever expected, just what I needed and an answer to my prayers. Without a doubt I HIGHLY recommend James Scott, and his team! They epitomize the phrase, Under promise over deliver! It was a Nordstrom or Sak's legal experience, customer service at its best!
