Sometimes as much as you want to workout a divorce in an amicable simple way..you need someone in your corner to keep you from getting dragged. John works with you. He listens and is there for you. When she spoke for me at my hearing, she presented my case in a way I could not have done on my own with all I had emotionally invested. She was thoughtful in her choice of words and her demeanor in court and was very well prepared. Instead of meeting with a lawyer, I received a call from a receptionist who, with no legal background, asked for more information about my case. I was told that in order to speak with an attorney and discuss the laws pertaining to my situation, I would first have to pay for their time. I can't recommend this firm. It felt unfair that I was expected to pay for a consultation just to understand the legal process of a divorce. I provided extensive documentation throughout the case, including printed photographic evidence, detailed logs, numerous witness statements, and support connected to the Department of Defense. While the materials were reorganized by counsel, the evidence itself was thorough and well-documented. Despite the amount and quality of information available, very little appeared to change as a result. After later consulting with other attorneys, I was told that more could have been done with the evidence provided. Communication was also an issue. Response times were often delayed unless something was needed from me, in which case immediate responses were expected. I don't question that work was done, but the execution and use of the evidence did not meet expectations given the length of time and level of documentation involved. Overall, I feel let down by the outcome, and maybe it was Just back luck, but all in all there was no fight for my child. And now I'm back to square 1.

Ultimately, my case turned out great and I can't thank W&F enough for their professionalism and abilities! On a side note, they went above and beyond with my situation! I rarely write reviews, but after my experience with Goldberg Jones, I felt compelled to share how…read moregrateful I am for the outstanding representation I received especially from attorney Svetlana Couture. From the very beginning, Svetlana demonstrated an incredible level of professionalism, preparation, and dedication. I was facing one of the most difficult and stressful situations of my life, and her strategic approach immediately gave me confidence that I had the right advocate in my corner. She remained focused on the facts, stayed several steps ahead throughout the process, and consistently provided honest, straightforward guidance. What impressed me most was her ability to analyze every aspect of the case, anticipate challenges before they arose, and execute a clear plan. Thanks to her hard work and unwavering advocacy, the temporary restraining order matter against me was ultimately dismissed. Throughout the entire process, she helped me stay patient, trust the process, and remain focused on the bigger picture. I also want to recognize Goldberg Jones as a firm. In a legal system that often feels tilted in favor of women and mothers, Goldberg Jones genuinely stands up for men's and fathers' rights. They understand the challenges fathers face and are committed to ensuring their clients receive fair treatment and strong representation. That commitment was evident in every interaction I had with the firm. Successful outcomes like mine do not happen by accident. They are the result of countless hours of preparation, attention to detail, and attorneys who truly care about their clients. Svetlana Couture exemplifies all of those qualities. I am incredibly grateful for everything Svetlana and the team at Goldberg Jones did for me and my family. If you are a father or man looking for knowledgeable, dedicated, and effective legal representation, I highly recommend Goldberg Jones and, in particular, Svetlana Couture. Thank you again for everything.

He frequently didn't respond to me during the process. Before our court hearing I reached out multiple times trying to make sure he was ready with the expert witness he had me hire and pay for. Our very first court appearance he had to postpone because he failed to serve my ex! Then there was another hearing that was asked for another exemption. Zero response until a week before the hearing. I get a frantic call from Matt encouraging me to settle for less than half of what I would get in court! I refused. He gave me some story as to why it was in my best interest to take the 50%. Then he came back and said my ex was refusing that amount and it would be less than 30% of what I was entitled to, however his firm would make up the difference. HUGE RED FLAG and alarm bells went off! I work for a professional services company and we do NOT pay our clients. Then the next email I get is from an associate at his firm sending me a response filing by my ex's attorney. It detailed out Matt's failure to respond to settlement negotiations, and failing to file MY witness list (so I have NO expert) in trial. The court filing was clear this guy had not done a thing to help my case and it was all detailed out for the judge. I cried! I had waited over a year with his delays and extensions he requested on my case and now I have no chance of winning and zero faith in his ability to represent me. I took his offer as long as he put in writing to pay me the money to bring me to 50%. He said he would write off the attorney costs (well I certainly expected that since he screwed up the whole thing!) and he said he cut me a check within X number of days. Well that came and went. No money. Then he sends me a release he wants me to sign that says I won't discuss his screw ups! Absolutely NOT! He cost me money and he let my ex get away with even more BS. That was an insult on top of the injury he caused me. I filed a complaint with the state bar and I hired an attorney to represent me against Matt. I didn't quite get the amount I would have from my ex, but I still get to warn other people to run. This guy misses every deadline and can't even serve notice to the opposing counsel! Do yourself a favor and don't hire Matt Blado.

After mistakenly retaining a very expensive attorney who made numerous mistakes and relegated my case to the back burner, I wised up and asked Andrew Benjamin to take my case. Smart decision on my part. Andrew is terrific. Specifically, he was honest, ethical and skilled at obtaining the best possible conclusion for me in a tough, unnecessarily prolonged and contentious case. Even when the Respondent stonewalled and obfuscated, which opposing counsel seemingly enabled, Andrew kept his head and helped me keep mine. Of particular note, Andrew is extremely good at taking depositions. He arrives well-prepared, organized and questions deponents with respect, while holding their feet to the fire in order to get to the truth. That takes smarts, skill and perseverance. Also, Andrew is more than fair in his billing practices. To wit, one time I was overcharged by an entity, which Andrew and I both thought unfair. To soften the sting to me, he reduced his billing of me some that month to compensate for the unfairness. He didn't have to do that. Unlike my previous counsel, Andrew is an excellent negotiator, helping me achieve a much more just outcome. He was always readily available to discuss my case, returning my emails and voicemails very promptly, as well as educating me as to the law and why things were the way they were. In the depressing, anxious quagmire that was my exhausting divorce case, Andrew J. Benjamin was invariably a piece of solid ground on which I could always depend. I highly recommend him to you.
