The process discovered…read more660 cfm of air leakage in our supply ductwork in our newly constructed home when pressurized at 25 pascals. This leakage was into the floor joists and into the attic vs. being circulated into the living area of our home. Since our rim joists are not sealed and neither is the attic, this leaked air most likely found its way outdoors. After the seal, this leakage was reduced to only 40 cfm! Mark also provided an audit of our HVAC airflow from our registers. After the seal was completed, the airflow at the registers during normal system operation had increased by 1,009 cfm. That was a real shock, representing more than 1/3 increase of our total HVAC air circulation! This will certainly have a positive impact on our utility bills and the comfort of our home. The team who performed the Aeroseal service were professional and it was obvious they had performed this many times (not their first rodeo!). They cleaned up after themselves in the mechanical room and taped the remaining exposed ductwork as an added measure of sealing. Very satisfied with the work and even more satisfied with the results the seal provided. Would never have imagined that a new home would have needed this until we experienced our high electric bills last summer and started looking for the cause.

Insulation Pros' negligence directly caused the loss of my senior cat, and instead of taking responsibility, the company president, Josie, spent 12 minutes yelling at me, blaming me, and saying she "would have never allowed something like that to happen to her own animals." On March 10, 2025, their workers came to my home for an insulation job. During the process, they left a door open, allowing my elderly, sick cat to escape. Kitty required medication twice a day to survive and has been missing for two days now. She absolutely did not survive. Here's where it gets even worse: * Josie, the president of the company, yelled at me for 12 minutes (which I have recorded) and told me the entire situation was my fault because I "should have known" to put my cat away. * Josie also admits that one of her technicians, Tyler, called Josie at one point and asked if he should secure my cat--but instead of taking any action, they made NO effort to contact me or my property manager to inform us that my cat needed to be put away. * When I confronted Josie, she lied and said they didn't have my contact information--which is completely false, as they had texted me just a week prior. Not only was their carelessness responsible for the death of my pet, but their dishonesty and complete lack of accountability afterward were appalling. Instead of admitting fault and apologizing, they gaslit me, berated me, and tried to cover their tracks. If you care about your pets, your home, or working with a company that values honesty and professionalism, DO NOT hire Insulation Pros. Their negligence cost me a family member, and their response showed they cannot be trusted.

They removed all the old, inadequate insulation, replaced it with 18" of new blown-in insulation (R48!), and even removed an ancient attic fan. They also spray foamed the rim joists around our foundation. From start to finish, the team was fantastic. Kobe, our team leader and person working hand in hand with the entire team, introduced us to Tristan (spend nearly all of his time in the attic getting it done) and Ryan, and everyone was polite, helpful, and professional. They took care to protect our home with plastic sheeting and were incredibly respectful throughout the process. We were especially impressed with their willingness to go the extra mile. We had replaced our attic hatch and asked if they could dispose of the old one. Ryan immediately helped us load it into the dumpster - a huge help for us! Later that day, Tanner and Blaise arrived to tackle the attic fan removal. That thing was massive - seriously, industrial size! Tanner did a great job coordinating the team and ensuring everything was removed and replaced with new batting and netting. The entire crew worked efficiently and diligently from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm on the first day and on the second day it only took about 4 hours to complete the reinstallation process. They were able to get the tech out (Colton) almost right away. He got up on a ladder, slapped some kind of instant-kill dust on them, and hightailed it out. After the dusty corpses fell to the ground, he came back the next day to seal it up and remove the portions of the nest he could reach. So far so good, and I'm hopeful that this was the end of it. It stinks to pay for something like this but it beats the alternative of getting up on a dodgy ladder with a couple dozen angry yellowjackets coming after you. Alternatively, if you leave them or seal them, they'll grow like crazy and maybe even burrow into the house. No bueno! So yeah, I'd recommend this group and will update if this effort didn't take but seems to be all good.

As soon as they were gone, our family room ceiling opened up and gallons of water poured in. The roofing company agreed to replace the flat roof but they did a sloppy job. I had someone on my roof who was screening off areas where critters could access our attic and they told me that flat roof needed to be replaced, sooner than later. I contacted several companies recommended by people on the Nextdoor app. One company came out to give me a quote but never returned my calls. Another company told me they were only doing roof replacements. I appreciated their honesty. I was very specific when I called roofing companies; I didn't need a new roof. One guy came out and told me he could contact my insurance company and tell them my roof had been damaged from a storm. We'd not had any damage to our roof from storms and that's bordering on insurance fraud. I decided to check out Yelp recommendations and saw that Easton had a lot of good reviews. When I called, they were very nice and told me they'd send someone out. The guys from Easton were there on time and they gave me an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable so I called to schedule the repair. The workers were very nice, professional, timely and they were there everyday until it was finished. They cleaned up after the repair so I wasn't finding random pieces of roofing material. Everyone, from the woman who answered the phone to the guys who did the repair was very nice and the whole process was seamless. Easton completed the repair and after years of checking ceilings, I can finally relax. Another contractor I'd used to remodel our house often needed access to the roof. I didn't ask him to check the flat roof but while he was up there, he wanted to check it out. He assured me they'd done a very good job and then asked for their info so he'd have the name of a good roofing company if one of his clients was looking to replace their roof. When an outstanding contractor is impressed with the work done by another company and asking for the company's info, that says a lot. Despite that, the driver still forced his way over while we were essentially door-to-door, with a concrete divider on his right. My only options were to veer into the wall or slam on the brakes and hope the car behind me wouldn't hit us. I chose the brakes and avoided being rear-ended, but it was a close call. What makes this especially upsetting is that I was on my way to drop my 10-month-old child off at daycare. A moment of impatience from a commercial driver put my child's life at risk simply to gain one car length. I called the office and spoke with Max, the operations manager. He was kind, understanding, and said he knew which driver it was and would follow up with them. I appreciate his response and professionalism--I had hoped to speak with the owner as well, but Max handled the call thoughtfully. That conversation has been a real silver lining and left me with a better impression of the company overall. The driver of the truck and trailer, for obvious reasons, is the part that brings my opinion down. Companies that put large vehicles and trailers on the road have a higher responsibility to drive carefully--especially during morning commute hours when families are out with young children. I hope this incident leads to a serious conversation with the driver involved so no one else's family is put in the same position.
