If I could give ZERO STARS? I would. It's difficult to articulate the degrading, disrespectful,…read morederogatory, discriminatory, disgusting experience I was subjected to at this "establishment." Although this occurred in September of 2021? I still remember it like it was yesterday. Screenshots included to confirm the dates I went here. Women definitely should not go here if they are not Caucasian. Racist doesn't even begin to describe this individual. No skill set is worth being treated as less than. Dignity is everything. And EVERY client should be dignified by the manner in which you treat them as a Business Owner. Too many times we ALLOW this kind of treatment because we don't want to travel to find better or we just feel like we have to accept it. Not that day. Not ANY day. Money is no longer green. It's everything in between (digital currency) and it spends on repeat where Consumers feel SAFE in a space. THIS PLACE? Is NOT it. The fact that -- on this particular day -- the Owner had gone to the doctor, returned, held a conversation on the phone directly to the right in the corner (when you first enter the small building) laughing about how he's "not dead yet" and "still kicking." And then switch gears in the same conversation to discuss tint that was sent to him that was the wrong shade or darkness and that the amount owed to him should be about $ 300.xx (all while looking me dead in the face with his glasses on ** SO HE SAW ME **) indicates how long I was standing there. A small, cute, furry, chubby white dog cane over and greeted me. A 4 door truck with Florida plates was directly in front of me. On the passenger side of that truck was another Caucasian Man....just staring at me. He too had glasses ** SO HE SAW ME ** Meanwhile, the conversation continued between the Business Owner and the urine on the other end on the phone without even so much as an acknowledgement that I was there. As soon as he ended the call? He began yelling at me saying, "HELLO HELLO! YOU'RE TOO BUSY IN YOUR DAMN PHONE TO EVEN HEAR ME TALKING TO YOU. U TRIED TO GET YOUR ATTENTION OUTSIDE BUT YOU JUST IGNORED ME THEN TOO." Now....me with my head down looking at my phone? Was me texting the beginning convo in the screenshots. Even still! Despite the alarms to GET OUT (PUN INTENDED), I stayed and made an appointment. Even after trying to inquire about the level of tint. Only to be given the analogy, "What do you mean 'Barely legal tint.' Either you're pregnant or you're not. There's no in between." To which I clarified that I wanted to know what percentage would yield the darkest tint AND be permissable to drive without getting pulled over by law enforcement and issued a citation. Just the fact that this kind of questioning was NORMAL in the course of educating a customer -- a female one at that. Disgusting. Condescending. I still booked the appointment because it was on behalf of someone else anyway. After booking? I then addressed the manner in which I was spoken to (the yelling, the cursing, the derogatory analogy). The Business Owner's response was as follows: "I talk to everybody like that. This is my shop. You don't tell me how to run my shop." To which I replied: "I don't presume to tell you how to run your business. However, when you see me pull up? This face? This voice? There will be no yelling, cursing, or otherwise. We can conducted business professionally and you can save that treatment for those who are comfortable with and okay with it." That's when he proceeded to cancel the appointment that I made and said, "Get out. Bye Felicia." Not all people are like this. Not all Caucasians are like this. But this one? Especially in the company if his "peers" (the other Caucasian Man in the shop at the time)? Brazen racism, abusive speech, threatening body language, and disrespect. Hard pass. Spend the gas to be treated with class (human decency and dignity).
