Safeco, our insurance carrier, was wonderful. They quickly set up the appointment at a Safelite location which was conveniently located near our home. When I arrived, what I thought was to be a simple repair, turned into a replacement. Again, Safeco was quick to change the claim. Further, my 2021 Kia K5 requires a special windshield that needed to be calibrated which precluded the job done at my home. A week later, I received a call that my new windshield was in. There were several large chairs so I could sit outside and a really clean restroom, always a good thing. The 2 1/2 hours went by in a flash. Everyone was no nice. If you need to repair or replace your windshield ... and you're in Mount Pleasant, choose Safelite.

Made an appt. online for a windshield replacement. Received a call from Safelite to get vehicle VIN…read more# so that the installer would have "everything they need". Day of service my installer shows up and doesn't have molding pieces that are apparently required. He tells me that Safelite will be reaching out to me either that day or in the next few days to reschedule. I never hear anything and after about a week I do some exploring on the website and realize that I've apparently been rebooked for an in-shop appt. a full month after the original install was supposed to happen. After several calls and some back and forth with customer service (which is largely A.I. now) I went to the local branch where the install was scheduled. They tell me that the molding has been delivered to them and that they can take care of the service the coming weekend. When I show up to have the replacement finally taken care of weeks after it was originally supposed to be I'm told that not only are all the molding pieces not on site but that there is an extra cost for the molding that would effectively double the cost of the service. Walked out and needless to say will not make the mistake of using Safelite again. It might just be this branch but I'm not taking any chances.
