If I could choose zero stars I would, I worked here for about a month and a half. When I started I had an incident where I needed to go to the hospital while on shift for myself and the store manager currently there told me I was going to be fired if I was to leave the store, keep in mind I needed medical help. Different little incidents started happening, I was refused to be given my district managers number and my manager ordered everyone to not give me her number. As a rule of Murphy USA only the District, Store, and Assistant managers were allowed to look at camera footage but my store manager was allowing other employees to watch me on camera and listen in on my personal conversations, then would speak about my conversations to other employees. Towards the end, my store manager had gained this strong dislike for me and was reaching on limbs trying to find anyway to fire me because she didn't like me from the start. As another rule, you aren't allowed to close down the store before closing time which I never have because that resulted in automatic termination. My store manager fired me saying I had closed down the store an hour early than supposed to. In confidence to my assistant manager she told her she wasn't sure and she "didn't know" if I actually closed down the store. Keep in mind we have 2 cameras in the kiosk and one right in front of the kiosk, it would have been very obvious if I had closed down the store. You also close down your drawer and clock out when it's time to leave. When speaking to my assistant manager, she claimed she watched footage and there wasn't any actual proof of me closing the store down. When terminated I asked for proof of me closing down the store and she told me that was against policy, but she was allowing other employees to watch footage of me on shift.
Outside of the experiences with my store manager Rosie Brito, the job was great. I had some amazing regulars that would bring me amazing conversations and attitudes. I had a customer named Nancy, she was an elderly woman that would call me when she would come to my job and I would help her with pumping her gas and paying for her purchases for her. I hope since I no longer work there they will take over and help her whenever she stops by, she is the sweetest woman I've ever met. read more
