I had underestimated how hot it would be on my run, and by the time I made it to this gas station, I was seeing stars and about to pass out. I went inside for water, and a younger man who was working at the counter allowed me to fill a cup from the sink. About this time, an older man came out from the back and brusquely asked me what I wanted. I replied that I had just needed water, but wondered if he had a phone that I could use to call my husband to come get me. He replied (in a very rude tone) that he had no phone for me, and asked me to go outside if I wasn't going to buy anything. Outside, I used a customer's cell phone to call my husband. Knowing he was en route, I stepped back inside the service station, as the heat and sun were beating down so hard that I was in danger of passing out again. I stepped back inside, and not a minute later the man returned from the back and asked me rudely again what I needed. I told him that I was waiting for a ride, and just needed to be in the air conditioning. He told me that I needed to get out, and I responded that I felt like I was going to pass out and just needed to be out of the sun until my ride arrived. He raised his voice and told me he didn't care, and that I needed to get out of the store. Thankfully a woman who had stepped inside gave me a ride home and let me use her cell phone to tell my husband I was on my way home. Otherwise, I'm absolutely sure I would have passed out outside this crappy little service station. I would rather run out of gas than patronize this place EVER.

I went to Casey's 1826 Western Ave, Knoxville, TN 37921 this morning to get Light Roast coffee, the…read moremachine displayed error (Classic Roast Jar is Empty) because the Classic Roast jar was empty and it won't dispense any other flavor until the Classic Roast is filled. They have four coffee machines and that machine is the only one that has the Light Roast flavor, I only drink this flavor. There was two employees at the register one was working and the other one doing nothing (just standing) with people waiting in line, I politely asked the one that was doing nothing if she can add some Classic Roast coffee to that machine so I can get the Light Roast, she said you have to use another machine, this machine is not working, I told her that the machine needs a Classic Roast to be added so I can use the Light Roast, she got mad and told me again that I have to use another machine, I told her again I only drink Light Roast and the machine can work if she can add the Classic Roast, she got mad and started shouting saying "you need to know who you are talking to, you need to show some respect ", I told her you need to do your job and I am calling Casey's company now and left the store. All other machine Classic Roast were full. This employee is the older black woman that has the worst attitude you can ever imagine, she acts like thugs, she is not supposed to deal with public. I am a person of color and I have nothing against her race. I always go to this store and get my gas and other needs, all other employees are respectful except this one. This place is improving. They took down the bars from the front! It got a paint job, they added a…read morewalk in cooler, the gas is cheap, they carry my Red Stripe (Hooray Beer!), the air machine works, and they even stocked American Spirit Organic cigarettes after I asked them. And by stocked, I mean they carried allllll of them. But boy I don't like the back lot covered in trash. There are no credit cards on the gas pumps which are in sad condition. But, the owners do a good job of keeping everything running, and always seem to be working on something new, while hassling their patrons to keep it moving. I also had to say something about some gross trash near a pump once and they very came out and got it, looking embarrassed, and with some thank yous to me. The chicken in the back always seems to be a favorite. And as an added bonus, they carry hookah coals, bowls, and other paraphenalia... right up front! So grab some fried chicken, and some beer, take a gander at some well priced smoking accessories, and fill up the car, we're gonna have a good time.
