Inside you will find a very impressive coffee station and a fresh kitchen. Also inside, you will find the usual weenie rollers with all the fixings along with an impressive number of drinks stations. There are hot grab and go and cold grab and go food items. They sell every imaginable alcoholic and non-alcoholic canned and bottled item and even have a small amount of craft beer. There is an ATM, ice, but propane tanks are not available here. If you do decide to get something from the kitchen, they do have two outdoor tables to sit at. I've written up a number of these Quiktrips and they are designed to beat the competition on all counts. Plenty of photos included to prove it.

I have a real love/hate relationship with this store. The selection of food and drinks is HUGE, so that's a plus. Nevertheless, QT's prices are higher than most other convenience stores in the area for nearly everything sold inside. For instance, I came in recently for a gallon of milk and it was priced at $7.99. Not organic or any of that other fancy stuff, just a gallon of good ol' fashioned 2% cow milk. $7.99. That's a record in my experience for a gallon of milk. Today a gallon of milk was $6.89 here at QT while it's $4.89 at 7-11 and $3.52 a gallon at HEB. To make matters worse, a few weeks ago I went in for another gallon of their high-priced milk and there was only ONE left, and it expired the same day. I asked if I could have it at a discount and was told NO! That was annoying. At the Circle K across the street, a gallon of milk is under $5.00. If Circle K's milk is about to expire, they'll usually give it to you for free if you let a clerk there know it's about to pass. Needless to say, I don't buy milk at QT anymore if I can help it. Also, I've never eaten a roller dog from this QT because every single time I try, I find that the hot dog buns are stale and hard as a rock. The breakfast tacos here are awful, too, but for some reason I don't quite understand myself, I keep eating them. In addition, this QT has never been a great place to buy wine because their wine offering is minimal at best. But the thing that pissed me off the most was that one week when for some reason, the sugar-free cappuccino I was getting here nearly every day began tasting a bit lemony instead of the usual caramel white chocolate flavor. At first I didn't think much of it, but then after about the fourth time I went in for my sugar-free cappuccino and tasted lemon, I said something to the manager about it. He checked and discovered that the sugar-filled lemon-flavored cappuccino container was in place inside where the sugar-free cappuccino dispenser was supposed to be! As such, I had been unknowingly drinking sugar all week! I'm not supposed to have sugar, damnit! Now every time I go in for a cappuccino I have to open up the dispenser to check that the powder canister inside is the sugar-free one so it doesn't kill me.

In 16 years, I don't believe I've ever reviewed a full-service gas station (Costco Gas does not…read morecount). There have not been many recent reviews for this Texaco gas station in the CP on the corner of New Hope and Lakeline, so here is mine. I have been frequenting this location for over six years, because it is very convenient for me to purchase lottery tickets (don't judge me) and buy beer, wine, and snacks when I don't want to travel to a big-box store. Yes, the prices are a tad higher, but I will pay a few extra bucks for convenience and time saved. They do have an excellent selection of brews, wines, and hard seltzers. If you are a vaper, they have many, many options for you. As a bonus, there is a taqueria on site. I have not tried their fare, but they are always busy, and the made-to-order tacos look and smell delicious. Note, they are only open for lunch. Regarding customer service, the guys at the counter always greet me with a friendly hello or high boss and they get me in and out quickly, which I appreciate.

The station is very clean and the pumps are very well cared for; There's literally no pumps that aren't working. The prices are good in comparison to other types of gas stations in the community . In addition to gas, you can buy a cleaner for your gas tank right from the gas pump. I enjoy buying my gas at H-E-B. I trust the gas is good for my vehicle, which is good because it needs to last me a long time!

Always pleasant to chit chat with and genuinely cares about stocking things that his regulars would like to see. Their beer and wine selection is stacked, like Brent said, too. So if you're a local that likes to switch things up with different beers or wines whenever it tickles your fancy, this is definitely where you want to stop. Customer service and variety is the way to my wallet, and this place has it.
