Traveling down from Houston I found myself looking for a place to fuel up before making the turn to continue on to McAllen, Texas. I knew the area well enough to know that if I passed up this opportunity it would at least another 20 miles before the next opportunity presented itself. Located on the corner entrance to Walmart it looks to be a newer location and the price was right regular was $2.409 and the pumps were easy to maneuver around even though it was quite busy. I was disappointed the pump didn't provide a receipt but the attendant was able to dial up the right pump and provide it. There is no inside access only a small window on the front side of the building hosting the attendant. She was very friendly and had the receipt when I walked up to the window I guess she was used to customers walking up to the window and asking.
On the backside of the building sits a walk up ATM and a water bottle filling station, there seems to be an abundance of these little kiosks in the area so good water must be a rare commodity here. read more
