They have fuel for both cars and 18 wheelers. I was hungry, so I ordered two tacos for $8 and some change. They were pretty good. They also have fried chicken, fried "burritos", chimichangas, hamburgers, pizza and more. The soda fountain includes several flavors of "aguas frescas" but are artificially flavored, the iced tea is fresh brewed. Bathrooms are clean and nice. The fuel prices are about 20 cents higher than in town. At least today. Overall, it's a nice place to stop for good food choices and road trip supplies.

She refused to let me pay her anything. She was a true angel.

I'm a Mexican chef with a great cook of a mom and we both enjoy most of the food made here. Giant flour tortilla tacos under $2 can't be beat! The gas station part is typical. Slushies, hot dogs burritos. They sell money orders here too. Popo likes to hang out around here late at night and catch drunkies trying to fill up on beet before cut off time. Fuel prices that spring morning: Diesel =$2.68 Regular = $2.42 (87 Octane) Plus = $2.82 (89) Premium = $3.12 (93) It was there on the corner where tons of traffic was flowing and trucks pulling in and out that I saw a deserted, concerned-looking dark-colored lab. My heart sank, but not only did I not have room in my Jeep, I am maxed out on pets per city code at my house.

At one point it was my favorite place to stop for a snack for a bathroom break and to stretch my legs. I have not stopped here in quite some time. I was so disgusted by the condition of the bathrooms. I'm not speaking of the cleanliness because I'm sure the employees do their best with what they have. Everything in there is just old and rusty everything that can have rust does have rust on it. Even the outside looks old and worn. I was so grossed out by everything in there. If I could give zero stars to this place I would 100% give zero stars. I don't typically review convenience, stores or gas stations, but this one was pretty ridiculously gross. This place probably makes enough money to do at least a partial remodeling or updating of their business. Just disgusting.

PJ Fresh deli foods: sandwiches, salads, cold cuts, cheese, available. Dozens of drink choices but I was disappointed the "iced tea" is made from a concentrate. Not fresh brewed like at Whataburger down the street or Loves. The salad was fresh but the salad dressing choices are very few. Hope you like ranch and weren't hoping for blue cheese or balsamic vinaigrette. The ham and cheddar sandwich was freshly made, well sized, ...but the "special sauce" advertised on the packaging was barely there, only a quarter sized stain on the bread. So the sandwich was very dry. Solution: if you get a sandwich, unwrap it first and add what condiments you need at the counter or by the hot dog counter. The hot food choices behind the counter looked slim. Perhaps wrong time of day. But you can order made what you want. They seemed to have some meatloaf and Mac and cheese under the lids. One employee was helpful and more friendly. The others seemed disconnected. Not the best travel stop, but could be. It has great potential. I hope their management can bring it up a notch or two.

You have more food selections including healthy food options. The place is spacious and easy to navigate. The bathroom stall doors are better installed, not a peek-a-boo kind of installation, not worrying whether the person passing by might see you in your awkward moment. The decor is also contemporary. Thank you for giving us a better place to stop during the long drive between the Rio Grande valley and north of the border.

I figured why not, and told her yes. I looked at the digital display to see what the total was and noticed $3+ for Pringles and $2+ for the coke with a $1 discount for the combo special. I asked her why the discount was only $1 (since this equates to a $2+ Pringles can), and she repeated herself ... 3 times. I get it, it's friggin $2 and I could have just purchased this and been done with it (absorbing the $2), but principle outweighed my need for 125 total grams of carbs. I remained respectful, as did she. I'm just speculating, but I think this combo is actually "buy a Coke Zero and get a Pringles can for $1 off" instead of "buy Coke Zero and get a Pringles can for $1." I'll write it off as an honest mistake; the cashier looked hardworking and I don't think I was being purposefully ripped off for all of $2....but one could figure that those $2 can pile up if other people are not as careful with their math.
