Speedway isn't my typical gas choice, but my options were that or Sheetz, and Speedway was easier to get in and out of. The price was not bad either. If I counted correctly, there were twelve pumps. I liked that there was pay at the pump and tap pay. The pump was slower than others in filling my gas tank. I didn't go inside as there were some questionable folks near the entrance, so I filled up and went on with my journey.

Even though this Speedway was not the cheapest, the inconvenience of waiting for a roadside assistance would have been unpleasant. The station was clean and tidy with no trash. While the receipt printer at the pump did not work, I was still able to run my credit card and get a small "Speedway" discount on my purchase to make it worthwhile. Two wide entrances and a decently large pump area made it convenient. Others pulling boats and such had no problem. I did not go into the store today. This place has it all--oil for your car, winning lottery tickets, propane, a Red Box, something for whatever ails you. Most important they have a clean ladies restroom. I'm not making any assumptions about the men's room--didn't pay it a visit. Customers wore masks and kept their distance. Cashier was not masked while she drank and then only half masked the ready of the time. It cost you a star to have your nose hanging out. I want to feel safe going into a heavily trafficked space like this.

This is an important point in the sub-tropical climate of North Carolina. I noticed the donuts right off. The packages gleamed. No, they weren't sprayed with Pledge - they were fresh! The lighting is clear and bright. Not a bulb out in the place. The car wash is working and in good repair. Price on gasoline and diesel both market correct. The fuel pad is clean and policed well. No errant trash and it appeared to have been recently swept. Even though at a busy location the entries and exits are easily navigated for easy in and easy out - use normal caution while driving, of course. Finally, the clerk and manager were attentive, polite and in good mood. Very professional and pleasant.

I have pumped my own gas at this station four times. All four times there has been no paper for a…read morereceipt. The Asian woman there today was quite rude. I told her there never was paper in there. Her response was quite rude. How did I know there was no paper. Well, rude woman, because there never is. No paper comes out, ever. I am disabled. I pump the gas myself and should not have to hurt my back walking inside to get the receipt. Four times is enough. There are other stations. Exxon, Mobil, Shell come to mind. I will never go there again. Maybe if she hadn't been rude or they cared about their disabled customers, customers that do not have to be treated poorly. Then again, no I will not. I do not tolerate rude behavior.
