Ok let me tell you a little story: I have a Subaru Outback…read more'09. I was driving from Seattle to Spokane when I watched my speedometer fall and my car stop on the side of the road. Long story short I got my car towed to a shop in town and they quoted me 1,350 to replace my catalytic converter. After telling the shop I can't afford that and I was going to take it somewhere else, they "remembered" the front catalytic converter was recalled by Subaru. After the Subaru dealership fixed that, my car still wasn't working. I called Dave and without even seeing my car told me he knew what was wrong and he can fix it. At this point the dealership was telling me it was something completely different than what Dave said. I decided to go with Dave. I got my car towed to Daves and he replaced my back catalytic converter and had it done by the next morning. It only cost me 140 dollars. Long story short, after other shops trying to hustle me, Dave was honest, on top of his shit and his price was incomparable! You'd be stupid to go anywhere else

This is potentially the best shop I've been to in the entire country. We were gearing up for a trip to Alaska when our transmission started making some concerning noise in Montana. After a shop in Missoula was unable to diagnose the problem, we limped our way to Spokane. Sven and the team were able to quickly find the issue and give us the bad news we'd been expecting (the transaxle needed replacing). They worked with our travel sponsors to get the part shipped as quickly as possible and made time in their incredibly busy schedule to replace the entire transaxle within a week. While we were waiting for the part to ship, we began having other problems and again Sven was fast with noticing problems the previous mechanic had missed: worn out spark plugs/caps/rotors, and a failing fuel temp sensor. We spent 10 days total at the shop and the entire team was incredibly friendly. They let us work from the shop on our laptops, allowed us to sleep in the van on site when we needed to, offered to borrow us a couple bicycles so we could run around town, and even bought us lunch one afternoon. Sven is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to our specific van. The shop worked quickly, and charged us more than fairly for the work. We left feeling confident in the job they'd done and drove to Alaska and back to the west coast (nearly 6,000 miles) without any issues. I cannot recommend this place enough!

In early 2025,…read moremy 2014 Ram 2500 Powerwagon had a bad tick and it turned out to be a bad lifter that wore the camshaft... long story short, I needed a new 6.4l hemi for my truck. I got quotes for it from about 11 different mechanics. I went with 5 MILE AUTO CENTER because of the communication and the transparency of what was included and how much each item would cost. The work was done in the promised timeframe and they kept me informed on the progress and answered questions every time I had them. Then when I came in after done work and made my final payment I was informed that not everything they quoted was needed and they were able to do the work for less than what they thought and agreed on. THEY WERE TOTALLY HONEST AND ACTUALLY CHARGED ME OVER $500.- LESS !!!! I could not believe it! I have not met anyone like that!! Then later on after about 2 weeks, the fan was still much louder than I was used to (turned out my old fan clutch was actually broken and that is why it was so quiet) he replaced it and put in a new one, all under warranty, did not charge me a dime! In addition they topped off my transmission fluid which was low, for no charge at all. My experience with 5 MILE AUTOMOTIVE CENTER could not have been more pleasant! A huge shout out to the 5 MAC and everyone who works there, I d recommend them for any work you need done on your car!
