Receptionist and vet tech were absolutely lovely but Dr. Bartolotto was not. She lacks basic compassion and manners when expressing concerns and when breaking bad news to us. She did not inquire about our dogs diet or lifestyle and jumped to conclusions. Very unpleasant and unfriendly staff.. I recently relocated to Murfreesboro and found this vet on yelp, and my advice, stay away. The level of unprofessionalism is unmatched. Anything that I asked for seemed beyond their scope. Having a a good attitude and asking someone to do their job seems far-fetch these days. Came in for simple nail trim, left with a half dead dog. It took three techs to hold my baby down. One of them literally choked him out with the leash. I had to verbally ask them "is my dog breathing". His eyes were rolling to the back of his head and they continued choking and restraining him. He didn't even have enough breath in him to fight back for one. I witnessed his tongue turning blue and shouted it out. If i wouldn't have spoke up they would have continued. They tried to stand him up and his whole body was limp. They rushed him to the back and called the doctor, leaving me in the room crying and confused. Had to administer oxygen and some more just to basically bring him back to life! Most traumatic event i've ever witnessed, not to mention he was already sedated with medicine before we came in. They were rough and rude, never even apologized for their ignorance. ALWAYS WATCH YOUR PET AND THE PEOPLE WORKING ON THEM!!! I'm glad I was paying attention, I saved my baby's life! My wife set up an appointment for my pup. All I needed to do is drop her off and leave. The receptionist began asking me question about things that I did not have the answers to. My job was to get her there in a certain time frame. I told her that she should have all the answers already. "We like to verify everything." I told her I don't have these answers. The receptionists scolding look at me like I was some kind of idiot was uncalled for. I was told to have a seat. A few minutes later that same receptionist started yelling at me from across the room about another question. "I don't know". She told me that I don't have to be rude. Well that is my cue. So I walked out with my pup. Here is where things went from bad to inexcusable. When I was helping my pup into my truck, this receptionist appeared less than 6 feet behind me and started scolding me. OUT IN THE PARKING LOT. SHE CHASED ME IN THE PARKING LOT AFTER I VACATED THE PREMISES. WORKPLACE VIOLENCE ANYONE!!!!!! I certainly hope that this receptionist does NOT have any contact with any animals. Now about Dr. Richey! 5 stars for her. I have spoken with her face to face and my wife loves her. But I will not allow my wife or my animals to be subject to this receptionist. So we will have to wait for Dr Richey to appear in another clinic. read more

I am in awe and disgust as I am typing this review. I've taken my dog, Casper, to this clinic because I could smell the color and smell of his urine change. As a nervous and concerned fur baby owner, I took my dog to this clinic in order to find answers. On July 19th, 2020 I found myself at this clinic... they run tests and found no results as to why his urine was fishy.This cost me roughly 170 to have him checked out....weeks go by and Casper urine is still smelling like fish and I am now more worried because something HAS to be wrong. I found another clinic nearby and immediately told me he had an UTI. I was hurt because if I had not taken him to another vet, his kidneys could have suffered. The new clinic performed similar tests and this clinic couldn't diagnose that he had an UTI so that I could treat it ?!? I am writing this review to warn you to make sure they are not pulling the wool over your eyes! read more

When I first moved to Murfreesboro, it took a few tries to find a trusted vet. I'm so glad I found Murfreeboro Animal Clinic! Their front desk staff are friendly and personable -- they greet me by name. Dr. Ritchie is wonderful -- through her thoughtful diagnosis of an issue that a prior vet missed, I believe it led to 2 more good years with my aged cat. Dr. Ritchie has a great bedside manner and a gentle touch with my pets (both cats and dogs, from 8 pounds to 120 pounds), as do all the vet assistants. When I've seen other vets when Dr. Ritchie was out, they've been great too. I highly recommend this clinic! read more

She would not answer any questions to why my puppies are full of blood and mangled up and crying .She said it is time to go and to go pay or she won't give me my cage or my puppies back . I had already was forced to give a $100 deposit to make the appointment. I told her to please answer my questions and my 11 year old daughter was going to get the cage and she shoved my 11 year old daughter saying you can't get the cage until you pay me or I will call the police.So she didn't have to call the police I did and she grabbed my phone and hung up on the police. But the police called me back and they came out and she told them I am trespassing by now I already paid my bill in full but I am trespassing (lol) . i went to get my cat fixed and they wanted to keep her overnight cool whatever they used wire stitches tell me they are stainless steel no they are wire I've never herd of anyone using wire on a cat most use dissolve stitches so now they are rubbing spots on her where the wire was left to long when I called this vet they said they would have to charge me when I flipped out and hung up they called my gmaw and went off on her and told her no charge then took her in today a week later when there is spots from something poking her and they say oh she's fine bring her back Friday to get the stitches out they also said she needed to have her extra toes cut and acted like I knew nothing about poly cats and when I told them no they called my gmaw and told her she was covered in fleas and needed a treatment but I get home check the boys surprise no fleas are here they just want your money and apparently I was hateful well when all u can tell me is h been doin this 34 years there is no reason to get hateful mam my cat is in pain she can't lay on her side without it poking her so excuse me if I'm hateful because y'all didn't do your job right the first time shouldn't have been so long to even poke another hole in her skin but nothing is wrong with her right got pic to if anyone needs to see read more

Me, my husband, and my fur babies LOVE Gabrielle! We had an emergency with one of our pups and once we told her we had limited funds she worked with what we had and our sweet Indica is 100%! Most recently we took our 13 year old Baby to see her. Baby is going in to CHF. She got her on the right meds and her quality of life is right back where it should be! I have had nothing but positive experiences here. They even called to check on my dog after she was in the ER. Very caring vets.

We have had previous experiences with this clinic and truly appreciated their bedside manner and care for canines. However, the experience with felines is a totally different story. Their bedside manner is very rough, needing 4 and at times 5 assistants in the room to hold down a 2.5 pound kitten. I feel their diagnosis is incomplete and they did not fully examine our cat and they did not listen to my concerns for my animals health. I waited in the exam room for over 35 minutes before even seeing someone. My cat was treated and within a few hours her health deteriorated causing me to take her elsewhere, to get more proper care. Needless to say, shortly after a full examination and treatment at another clinic she was much improved. Additionally, the cost for treatment is very out of line for the care you receive. read more

We boarded our dog at the Murfreesboro Animal Clinic on Memorial over the weekend. My mom picked up the dog this afternoon and said she smelled like urine and her paws were wet. When I came home I washed her and found her entire bottom and back legs were covered in mats and feces. I called and politely explained the situation to the receptionist who put me on hold for 15 minutes so I could speak with someone who had been there this weekend. I spoke to the vet and he offered a free bath if I wanted to bring her right then, I told him I had just given her one and cut her hair. He said that he had checked her cage this morning, so that all must have happened during the afternoon and did not believe that her paws were wet when she was picked up. I said I was very disappointed. He said "well okay" then he hung up on me. I would not recommend them at all. The vet himself hung up on me when I was speaking calmly explaining that I was disappointed. Obviously she had been sitting in her own excrement for most of the weekend for the mats to have gotten that bad. That is unacceptable treatment for any animal to receive. read more

He is not going to try and hard sell you something you don't need like some of the vets in the area.
