The person behind the counter offered that bit of information when I was debating whether or not to buy a couple of boxes of fudge to take home. When I got home, I put the boxes of fudge into a freezer bag and left them in the freezer for two months. After defrosting for a day, they sliced up just as fresh as if I had bought them that day. Also kind of crazy. If you're lucky, you'll get to see the workers make fudge on the marble slabs. They do it so proficiently that it's mesmerizing to watch them work. It's cool to see a puddle of sugar and flavoring turn into a solid mass of candy. Crazy! Along with many different flavors of fudge, you'll find other candies and sweet treats like truffles, taffy, toffee, peanut butter cups, and many others. The people who work here are also super friendly! You can tell they love their product and are proud of what they create. That's so nice to see.

My go-to is a corndog and fried pickles - biking 8 miles works up an appetite. Always been happy with my food. There is an order window to the right and pick-up window to the left. Staff are friendly and helpful. The time of waiting in line to getting food is efficient. Is it a little pricey? Of course, again, it is the only place to get food on that side of the Island. To the left and right of the Cannonball has a ton of picnic benches. Must-stop on your journey!
