They sent someone out to measure, and within a week we had our new countertop installed by their staff, who were all just amazing. It looks great and really "finishes" the kitchen. Best of all, the owner and the staff were so easy to work with and we couldn't be more pleased with their superior service. Highly recommended!

I've ordered everything from banners and signage to printed materials and stickers, it's all very, very Good. And third, this is my favorite aspect of the biz: they're amazing community partners. Over the years, they've provided plenty of materials and support to local businesses, most evidenced by so many restaurants that proudly posted their un-gender-specific bathroom signage that, honestly, couldn't be better stated. We needed to address water stains from a 2023 roof leak in three ceiling areas, as well as hairline cracks from the house settling over the last 22 years. The team arrived promptly at 8:00 AM. Chris, the Crew Leader, clearly explained the work plan and how the team would proceed. Matt, the Lead Painter, along with Alexis and Kay, worked exceptionally well together. Their attention to detail was evident, and the final result is beautiful. I hired Chris through Thumbtack several months ago to handle a list of small household repairs…read more Most of them were done adequately on the first visit. One of the tasks was simply to loosen a handle on a guest bathroom faucet that was secured too tightly. After working on it, Chris informed me that I needed a new faucet. I accepted his verdict and arranged for him to return and install it. (I ordered a new one which he picked up). He came back and installed it, but said that it should not be used for a few days. I was leaving town and had house sitters. They waited to use it and upon first use there was a major leak affecting the sink, toilet and shower. I contacted Chris and scheduled a time for him to return while I was gone, but he didn't show up for the app't. When I texted him, he said it wasn't his fault and that I'd need to get a plumber. I did so and it was a very expensive repair involving cutting into the wall. When I returned, I noticed that the spout on the faucet was very loose and had not been securely fastened. I sent Chris a video illustrating the loose spout and he denied responsibility. After an interchange, he agreed to come back when it was convenient for him. After several weeks I inquired again. Chris then decided he was not going to come back at all, but would offer a refund within 30 days. At the end of the month, I asked if he would be sending the refund and, after another unpleasant interchange, he decided he would not be sending a refund. This has been an unnecessarily complicated and unsatisfactory transaction and I am left having to pay another person to make the repair. I never asked for a refund...I only wanted the install to be corrected. Chris threatened me with legal action if I wrote a negative review. I am refraining from using any negative adjectives, but will simply say that I cannot recommend him. This is a simplified, understated review, just trying to stick to facts. I have a thorough email trail that backs up the entire transaction. Let me add that Chris put a new screen door in my kitchen that was supposed to be pet resistant. It pulled out of the framing within days. Rather than return to repair it, he offered a 3/4 percent refund. I accepted it, but need a new screen. This refund had nothing to do with the plumbing/faucet episode.

I had a terrible experience with Andy's painting. Prior to starting the job, I emphasized to the…read morecrew that we had recently installed new flooring in our home and that I was concerned about protecting the floors. I was assured that the floors would be covered during the duration of the project to ensure protection. Floor covering is specified in our contract but was not completed. Our floors were not covered. Instead, masking tape was placed on the floor in sporadic areas. I discussed this with our project manager Kris and the painting crew after realizing that they weren't going to cover the floors and again re-emphasied my concerns, however the floors were still not covered. The tape job was not adequate, and paint got all over the stairs and flooring. The crew attempted remove the paint using an abrasive orbital buffer and a sharp hand tool. This caused multiple steps to be scratched and gouged. The crew caused $622.08 worth of damage to our new flooring. Andy's website states "We perform the work. We do not subcontract our painting work. All our painters are employed by Andy's painting." The original painters and our project manager Kris both informed me on the first day that the crew were indeed sub-contractors. The painter said that it was only his second day working with Andy's. Obviously, this was frustrating and a willful misrepresentation by Andy's. We did not expect or agree to have the job subcontracted. Especially by someone who lacked the skill to complete the job. Areas that were not to be painted received paint. Including the stair risers, handrail and doors. The handrail was even painted a different color without my consent or prior knowledge. The lack of attention to detail was astounding. We had to babysit the entire project. I had to ask multiple times to have simple tasks like filling nail holes or having walls textured completed. All of these items were agreed to in our contract. However, there were constant excuses from the crew and attempts to cut corners. I was told "you probably don't need 2 coats of paint" and "you can't see those holes." ect. It was tiresome to have to repeatedly insist that they complete the job as we had agreed. The first crew was fired by the project manager after 2 days. In total, 3 different crews worked on our project trying to get it right. On the very first day I was told that the job would be completed in 1 day. The job ended up taking 5 days. The doors were painted using a sprayer in our driveway. The driveway was not protected properly and there was white paint sprayed all over our driveway. The doors were initially put back on wet causing the paint to be damaged, door hinge pins upside down, missing screws ect. The crew does not arrive on time. They were at least 30 minutes late on 4 different occasions. Multiple crew members told me that Andy's will hire anyone and that they don't check references or require any demonstration of proficiency or skill prior to be hired. Overall, it was a bad experience. I was expecting a much more professional experience and result. Andy's did agree to pay for the damage and did some additional work on removing the paint from our stairs and flooring. I would not recommend hiring Andy's Painting.

I hired Mitchell's Painting to paint the garage door and apply polyurethane UV protection coatings on my main entrance wood door and metal side gates. Jonathan really took his time to tape up the area and prep the surfaces so the paint and polyurethane coats adhere properly. After Jonathan applied the first coat of UV polyurethane on the main entrance wood door, he was not satisfied with the result (the sheen reflection was not uniform due to my own lousy painting attempts in previous years). So he went and got a spray gun and re-sand/reapplied the polyurethane to his liking. The door now looks like new. This perfectionist attitude is seldom seen and is much appreciated.

We used New Life Painting aka Javier Cairo in October 2020 to paint the inside of our home. He…read moretold me four days and it took 3 1/2 weeks. I was happy with the work but not the timeline. We hired him again on April 15, 2021 for stucco repair and entire exterior painting of our home. He told me four days and said he would start the 21st and be finished by the 27th. I was happy with that because we we're scheduled to list our home for sale May 1, 2021. He started April 23, but was not finished with the work 33 days later so we let him go. It has cost us $6800 SO FAR to repair the work he did. WHY? First, he used different colored stucco in several different areas on our home. Then he rolled and sprayed the home in different areas. The home looked blotchy and in the areas of the different color stucco it looked terrible. Additionally, he texted me on three different occasions to pay for the paint which was included in the price because he left his wallet in the other truck, he had to pay someone in El Paso, etc. Then the paint didn't even show up at my house. I know now he had me pay for someone else's stuff because I called the paint store and it was primer. Last, he told me at one point he would be finished by 10am the next morning and wanted the rest of the money now. Thank God I said I had to see it finished first because Javier was no where near finished. He didn't show up the next day so I called two painting companies to come out. Both came and both, at different times, told me Javier was ruining my home. I immediately let him go and hired one of the companies to completely redo the paint job Because neither company would guarantee their work unless they redid it all due to how bad it was by Javier. Here's what I haven't told you yet which will cost me more money--- 1.) Javier dropped stucco in my new air conditioner (purchased Jan 2021) and I now have to get it professionally cleaned out because the stucco is on the fan and can put the fan off balance. so if I don't get it cleaned they can void warranty and my ac can break down. 2.) Javier broke 36 roofing field tiles and seven ridge tiles. I sent him pictures and have waited a week for him to drop off the tile material for our roofing company to fix. As you can see in pictures, he still hasn't dropped off paint, trim paint, or the tile. I have plenty of pictures, snapshots of all his text messages, and proof of who he is from my camera system (Which they broke one of them, too). I'm trying to get these to load on here. I would NOT recommend him For anyone to use. His number is (505) 974-2525. please look close at the pictures. He drives a white truck with trailer Attached. I hope this helps anyone else.

I loved what a great job they did with the sealing and painting. I wish I could leave a better…read morereview because that part was great. However, professionalism left a lot to be desired. The night before they were to start the job, I got a text at 10pm stating they'd need to push out a day. I understand that kind of thing happens, but it's bad form to text a client so late the night before. I had to follow up time and again regarding arrival times, etc. There was no proactive communication on their part. They also dumped over a gallon of paint in our front yard. We now have to throw away all of the rock in that area and spread more to make up for it. They also broke a decorative element. Even with all of the challenges, we're considering them for another job on our interior. We support small businesses and really appreciated the work they did. Just wish for more professionalism and concern for our home.
