Once my car made it across the border back to the U.S., I took it to a local shop and paid $160 to have everything fixed properly. I paid almost 10 times the amount to SpeeDee Auto Repair in Tijuana and my vehicle was returned to me in half-repaired condition.
Basically, if you speak Spanish with an accent, best stay far away from this shop. They will take you for as much dollar as they can squeeze. I suspect they deliberately broke parts of my car to make me pay for unnecessary repairs.
In essence, this place is a trap for anyone with the misfortune of needing their disabled car serviced here. Not only will they not fix your vehicle but they will try to harm it so they can extract as much from you as possible.
Oh, the consumer protection agency in Mexico, Profeco, is useless against these crooks as well. They will not do anything to stop these people from deliberately breaking your vehicle to extort money from you.
