She and her daughters Christine and Stephanie have built a really nice little sandwich shop with a fantastic Rueben!!! I used to come here at once a week before I moved across town years ago. The food was always so fresh and delicious and the service is fast. Stopped by today and alot has changed. It's twice the size and very bright and clean. Same delicious food and great service. The only drawback is the price hike. The $8 California crescent is almost $13 by itself. No chips or drink. I want to complain but it's a sign of the times and current economy. And DAMN this sandwich is good!!! read more

We stopped in around 1pm on a Thursday. It was clearly popular but it was very clean, not too loud, the server was friendly and the overall service was fast! Not to mention how incredible it smells in there! We got a French Dip (literally the best one I've ever had) and the Italian Sausage with Peppers. Wow and yum!!! Of course Yelp helped. I went with build your own in which you choose bread, meat, and toppings. Roast beef, white bread, lettuce, tomato, olives, mayo, and mustard. I also got some minestrone soup. The sandwich was one of those ones you can't your mouth around, wads huge. The meat was fresh, bread was fresh, all of it was fresh. The soup was an added bonus. Came in with a friend s couple of days ago. He knows how I liked sandwiches and took me here. The place is small but there is a welcoming feeling when you walked in. After deliberating over the menu, I decided to have a build my own wrap. This was a nice touch for the menu since I have been watching what I eat. Got the turkey with some veggies. My friend had the French dip. Sandwiches are all about the bread. My friends bread looked delicious. He said his sandwich was really good as he was inhaling it. My wrap was good and the jalapeños had some kick. Staff was very nice. Good sized menu with enough choices for everyone. I am surprised having worked in the area that I hadn't come across here yet. Kind of a let down. Read all the killer reviews. Place has been there for decades. Staff was very nice and pricing was decent. Ordered the meatball and sausage sub on garlic bread. First the bread was tough like leather. The meatballs were frozen and not home made. The sausage was just Ok. The marinara was super bland. Same carry over on my split pea soup. No flavor and super watery. Last, I had ordered an Italian to go. Nothing special about the sandwich either. For sure not going back anytime soon. My first visit here was a pretty good experience. The sandwich was delicious and had a generous portion of meat. I can't wait to come back and try everything on the menu. I would really like this spot to be open at least one Saturday or Sunday per month. I live pretty far away, which makes it difficult to stop by with the hours they are open, but I get it. I really wanted to sit inside and enjoy the atmosphere, but the radio playing with loud commercials was driving me crazy while I waited for my order. Treat yourself to a brownie before you leave. Munch-a-sub was on my list of places to visit in the valley for nearly 2 months. First, the location was closed over the holidays (Xmas through new year's), which is understandable and then was also closed after President's Day due to remodeling. I suppose the 3rd time was the charm. I finally caught them open for business on the right day. The establishment was certainly busy during lunch hours. You walk in order at the counter and my hot sub was ready within approximately 5 minutes. Very plain tables and chairs, result in an ambiance that says they focus more on the food than the decor, which is not bad. The opportunity is the pricing. Lunch - 12", a bag of chips, and a soda was $19.04. I would go again and perhaps try a different sub but I can't say that I would ever consider adding munch-a-sub to the lunch repertoire due to the cost/pricing and value proposition. Don't get me wrong the meat seemed like a superior quality to the large chain shops but I do not see marginal cost justifying the marginal quality of Munch-a-sub. read more

I had high hopes after reading reviews and I have to say it was mediocre. The staff is very friendly. The sandwiches are over priced. I got a 12" sandwich, soup and 1 drink and it cost me $28.00. The sandwich was huge though. The sandwich had too much meat I couldn't even close it and the bread is not that great. I also ordered soup being a mom and pop type place I would have thought the soup was homemade but it tastes like Campbells soup. My recommendation would be change the bread to fresh baked rolls, put less meat on the sandwich and charge a little less. Not loving the soups either. Try making some in house. read more

My favorite little hole in the wall sandwich shop! Stumbled across this place a while back since its near my work and the place was so busy! They are always so nice and take the time to know their customers (a lot are daily customers they know by name and know their orders!) Each time I've been it's been so yummy! I'm not a big fan of chain sandwich shops and this one is far from it! Their 58 (California Croissant) is so good and their W4 Turkey wrap is really good too! They have salads, sandwiches, wraps, soups, and more! They have amazing homemade pasta salads, macaroni salads, and fresh baked cookies. The macaroni salad is one of my favorite things from there I always get it with my sandwich! You can dine, pickup, or they deliver! Have done them all and they were fabulous for all! I want to give six stars. Christine and the team are always friendly and welcoming, and the facililty is super clean and they give you GENEROUS proportions when it comes to your side of chips. And it's extremely affordable. Good for emergency lunches when I forgot to pack anything. The sandwiches are always piled high with ingredients (and their wraps absolutely stuffed) and taste amazing, no matter what I get. I usually grab the Italian or turkey croissant or wrap, and it's always enough for two meals (for me). Awesome little hidden gem of a sandwich shop that I hope continues to flourish.
