Ok so this review is not about the food because I have yet to have it. The first attempt was on a Sunday. I walked up and was greeted but told they were out of corned beef and pastrami. I drove from the other side of town(Henderson ) to give them a try. So much for that. I tried a second time on a Saturday truck wasn't there. Now it's a Monday afternoon and the truck is there but they are not open. So much for giving them a try.

This spot kept popping up on my instagram feed. I love a good corn beef sandwich so I had to check it out. Today they were located at 500 S. Grand Central by the outlets. I ordered a regular corn beef on rye, a bag of chips and a Faygo soda. The sandwich was good however my bread was soggy, more than likely from the juice and steam. The soda was flat. It sure how long it was sitting around. The sandwich was $18.99 and the soda was $2.99. I feel like the price was high for what you got. Overall it was worth a try and supporting a black owned business.

#1 corned beef with sauerkraut, mustard, on rye bread. No sauce. Delicious!

Loved the juicy, tender, meaty corned beef sandwhich on rye bred. Meat is hot and oh so tasty. The only thing better was the big smile and friendly service from the lady who took my order at the window. She even saw my nametag and already knew my name and didn't even ask for a name for my order, smart lady. She also let me know I could drive up so it's easier to get my order. Will definitely be coming back for pastrami next time.

We have seen them trending on social media and have been wanting to try them. The first time we were going to try them they were packing up to move locations. This time we saw they were in the mall and figured we would try them and it would be easier to eat the food indoors. The person who took my order was really nice and friendly. And suggested the onion roll over the rye. We got the pastrami on the onion roll. Now with all the Vegas influencers raving they have the best sandwich's in Vegas gives me pause after trying a his place. Now don't get me wrong it was not the worst pastrami sandwich I've had but it definitely was not the best. There was a considerable amount of fat on the pastrami. To the point my husband spit a bite out. I feel most of the flavor was from the sauce and cheese. It definitely needed pickle on the sandwich. In my opinion if you want a great pastrami sandwich I would go to either woods family or Fisher's Deli (formerly Weiss Deli).

I absolutely love corned beef and pastrami when I heard there was a food truck dishing out these sandwiches we had to check it out. Detroit Corned beef was spotted on instagram by my son so it out business to go check them out. We ordered a corned beef and pastrami on rye with sauerkraut mustard and their house sauce. It was delicious. The sandwich was huge and we were able to make a smaller sandwich for my lady on a side onion roll. My son additionally ordered a corned beef sandwich on an onion roll with coleslaw. This one was great as well. The side of corned beef potato salad was delicious and you can't go wrong with pickles as well. Their hometown chips as were the meats from Detroit were a hit as well. I highly recommend this spot. Don't miss if you like corned beef or pastrami.

Drive through food truck. Makes it good when it's burning hot out here. The service was excellent. I ordered the Detroiter. I made it 1/2 lb of corned beef and 1/2 lb of pastrami. I had it on an onion roll. The meat was juicy and flavorful, it also had cheese on it. They serve it with a couple of pickle spears. I took it home and by the time I got home the bread was a bit soggy. Loved everything about the food experience. I will be back for the a sandwich and my wife wants to try the peach cobbler.

    DELICIOUSNESSSSSSSSS!!!!

Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! Also, the Doordash delivery was great!!! Looking forward to trying the pastrami next!

After living in Manhattan and growing up in Chicago I'm a bit skeptical about delis out West. Let's just say they're not the same as back home. I think it's the water, but who knows. When I read all of the reviews about the Detroit Corned Beef ( @detroitcornedbeef ) food truck I had to try it. I was as surprised as a tech bro on tv with his side piece on the big screen during a Cold Play concert. This spot my fiends was legendary. I'm still craving it a week later. The meat was beyond juicy, perfectly sauced, the onion roll matched the bakeries back home, and the potato salad with meat on top was fire. Best I've had out here. Pictured was their special. I also had to try the pickles, and chips I used to eat. Both were perfect, tasty, & solved my munchies. P.S. I was sober while I consumed this, but they landed a sale for Thrive in the same parking lot. I laughed with the chef pointing at the large cannabis sign. You guys nailed it. He gave me that look you get when you know you know the idea. As for the bomb pop flavored pop, I had to try it. I figure if I was eating a pound of corned beef the extra sugar didn't matter too much. I'd burn it off at the gym the next day and still recover before my next round of blood work. It was a pound of sugar awesome. Mission accomplished! This spot is now one of my top 5 in Vegas, and one of the best sandwiches I've had in the nation. I heard they're about to open their first brick and mortar spot too! My friends, you now know where to get your ounce of flower and 16 ounces of meat!

What Up Doe! If you're craving an authentic taste of Detroit in Vegas, @detroitcornedbeef is the spot to hit! They serve up legendary corned beef and pastrami sandwiches, piled high and done right. The 1 lb sandwich is a beast--big enough to share, but so good you might not want to. Pair it with a classic Faygo drink and some Better Made chips for the full Detroit experience. If you're looking for amazing sandwiches with bold flavors, this is a must-visit!

Truly an amazing sandwich spot. The guy working the truck is super friendly and provides amazing service. This amazing little food truck has a great ambiance to it and the smells make you hungry! An amazing little gem hidden off of Sahara and Valleyview next to the thrive dispensary. If you haven't checked it out... it's a must!

Detroit Cornedbeef - A Hidden Gem That Packs a MEATY Punch! If you're in Las Vegas and haven't tried Detroit Cornedbeef, do yourself a favor and find this food truck ASAP. I They have social media foodies raving about it--and I totally get the hype at every level. LEGIT best bite ever. Their sandwiches are massive, mouthwatering, and seriously crave-worthy. The kind of sandwich that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate how good it is. The corned beef is piled high, juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Whether you're into the classic Chicago style, piled high or going rogue ordering the anything but boring turkey sand, you will leave full and happy. You know it's legit when competitive eaters and influencers with serious food cred are lining up to feature it--and they're not exaggerating. The quality is top-tier, and the portions are no joke. It's like a deli dream came to life on wheels. The staff is super friendly too, and they clearly take pride in what they're serving. This is one of those places you try once and immediately start planning your next visit. Sandwich game = next level. Detroit Cornedbeef is a Vegas MUST. 10/10 recommend. Come hungry leave STUFFED!!! You're killin it "Fish". Couldn't "say less".

We ordered the Lulu's Sando box and the chips. The bread is what makes this sando amazing! The chicken katsu sandwich was definitely the winner and our favorite. The egg salad needed a little more flavor and one of the egg salad sandwiches barely had any egg salad in it, after 1 bite the rest was literally bread. The steak sandwich was tender and good. Chips had a homemade taste and seasoning was good. Service was fine, very busy and seemed short staffed. Staff was nice and doing the best they can with the crowd. While we were wawiting, seems like the owner came in and took charge and things started moving more efficiently. Overall, it was decent. If there was no wait, I'd definitely order the chicken katsu or the steak sandwich just on its' own.

Because it was our first time, we wanted to sample a little of everything (and feed hungry kids),…read moreso we ordered the Steak Sando, Spicy Chicken Katsu Sando, Shrimp Sando, Pork Belly Rice Box, and the Chef's Box. Everything came out flavorful and well put together--no bland bites, no soggy bread, and nothing felt "thrown on a plate." Even our kids (who aren't big sandwich fans) couldn't stop eating, which is basically the highest compliment in our house. The shrimp sando was the clear standout. The shrimp patty is huge--honestly burger-sized--with a crispy panko crust that stayed crunchy, and the shishito pepper mayo added just the right kick without overpowering the shrimp. The shokupan bread deserves its own shout-out too: soft and pillowy, but sturdy enough to hold everything together without falling apart or getting soggy. If you're going for just one thing, I'd start there. The Steak Sando was rich and satisfying, and the Spicy Chicken Katsu hit that comfort-food spot with a nice little heat. If you're more of a rice person (or you want something extra filling), the Pork Belly Rice Box and Chef's Box are great choices--both were packed with flavor and felt like a solid meal, not a skimpy "side box." We ordered a mix and it was perfect for sharing family-style, but everything also works as its own main. Another pleasant surprise: the space is larger than it looks from the front. There are a few high-top seats up front, plus a back room with tables and booths, so it's not just a quick grab-and-go spot. And Thursday through Saturday they set up a social lounge and offer a bonus menu with additional options. We're definitely coming back to check that out (and the karaoke setup too).
