Corned beef sandwich with soda and chips
    Mary H.

This spot kept popping up on my instagram feed. I love a good corn beef sandwich so I had to check it out. Today they were located at 500 S. Grand Central by the outlets. I ordered a regular corn beef on rye, a bag of chips and a Faygo soda. The sandwich was good however my bread was soggy, more than likely from the juice and steam. The soda was flat. It sure how long it was sitting around. The sandwich was $18.99 and the soda was $2.99. I feel like the price was high for what you got. Overall it was worth a try and supporting a black owned business.

#1 corned beef with sauerkraut, mustard, on rye bread. No sauce. Delicious!

Loved the juicy, tender, meaty corned beef sandwhich on rye bred. Meat is hot and oh so tasty. The only thing better was the big smile and friendly service from the lady who took my order at the window. She even saw my nametag and already knew my name and didn't even ask for a name for my order, smart lady. She also let me know I could drive up so it's easier to get my order. Will definitely be coming back for pastrami next time.

We have seen them trending on social media and have been wanting to try them. The first time we were going to try them they were packing up to move locations. This time we saw they were in the mall and figured we would try them and it would be easier to eat the food indoors. The person who took my order was really nice and friendly. And suggested the onion roll over the rye. We got the pastrami on the onion roll. Now with all the Vegas influencers raving they have the best sandwich's in Vegas gives me pause after trying a his place. Now don't get me wrong it was not the worst pastrami sandwich I've had but it definitely was not the best. There was a considerable amount of fat on the pastrami. To the point my husband spit a bite out. I feel most of the flavor was from the sauce and cheese. It definitely needed pickle on the sandwich. In my opinion if you want a great pastrami sandwich I would go to either woods family or Fisher's Deli (formerly Weiss Deli).

I absolutely love corned beef and pastrami when I heard there was a food truck dishing out these sandwiches we had to check it out. Detroit Corned beef was spotted on instagram by my son so it out business to go check them out. We ordered a corned beef and pastrami on rye with sauerkraut mustard and their house sauce. It was delicious. The sandwich was huge and we were able to make a smaller sandwich for my lady on a side onion roll. My son additionally ordered a corned beef sandwich on an onion roll with coleslaw. This one was great as well. The side of corned beef potato salad was delicious and you can't go wrong with pickles as well. Their hometown chips as were the meats from Detroit were a hit as well. I highly recommend this spot. Don't miss if you like corned beef or pastrami.

Drive through food truck. Makes it good when it's burning hot out here. The service was excellent. I ordered the Detroiter. I made it 1/2 lb of corned beef and 1/2 lb of pastrami. I had it on an onion roll. The meat was juicy and flavorful, it also had cheese on it. They serve it with a couple of pickle spears. I took it home and by the time I got home the bread was a bit soggy. Loved everything about the food experience. I will be back for the a sandwich and my wife wants to try the peach cobbler.

    Not open.

Ok so this review is not about the food because I have yet to have it. The first attempt was on a Sunday. I walked up and was greeted but told they were out of corned beef and pastrami. I drove from the other side of town(Henderson ) to give them a try. So much for that. I tried a second time on a Saturday truck wasn't there. Now it's a Monday afternoon and the truck is there but they are not open. So much for giving them a try.

    DELICIOUSNESSSSSSSSS!!!!

Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! Also, the Doordash delivery was great!!! Looking forward to trying the pastrami next!

After living in Manhattan and growing up in Chicago I'm a bit skeptical about delis out West. Let's just say they're not the same as back home. I think it's the water, but who knows. When I read all of the reviews about the Detroit Corned Beef ( @detroitcornedbeef ) food truck I had to try it. I was as surprised as a tech bro on tv with his side piece on the big screen during a Cold Play concert. This spot my fiends was legendary. I'm still craving it a week later. The meat was beyond juicy, perfectly sauced, the onion roll matched the bakeries back home, and the potato salad with meat on top was fire. Best I've had out here. Pictured was their special. I also had to try the pickles, and chips I used to eat. Both were perfect, tasty, & solved my munchies. P.S. I was sober while I consumed this, but they landed a sale for Thrive in the same parking lot. I laughed with the chef pointing at the large cannabis sign. You guys nailed it. He gave me that look you get when you know you know the idea. As for the bomb pop flavored pop, I had to try it. I figure if I was eating a pound of corned beef the extra sugar didn't matter too much. I'd burn it off at the gym the next day and still recover before my next round of blood work. It was a pound of sugar awesome. Mission accomplished! This spot is now one of my top 5 in Vegas, and one of the best sandwiches I've had in the nation. I heard they're about to open their first brick and mortar spot too! My friends, you now know where to get your ounce of flower and 16 ounces of meat!

Ordered the Mesquite salmon with their hawaiian mac and the mac and cheese. Also got the jalapeno cheddar sausage and pulled pork also. Their service was excellent-very patient as we were ordering and the wait wasn't too long. Overall, I think i just ordered the wrong things. The mesquite salmon was very very dry and I wasn't a huge fan-same thing with the pulled pork. However, the jalapeno cheddar sausage was pretty good and probably the reason why I would give this place another chance if I seek it out again. Their sides were very good also. Generous portions all around and fair for the price.

The server was very friendly and helped guide us with what we should order. We decided on their lucky cat slider trio which had the brisket, pork belly and pulled pork. They ran out of the pulled pork but they gave us the brisket instead. And let me tell you, the brisket mixed with the Hawaiian but and coleslaw was just just Heaven. Super tender, melt-in-you-mouth kinds of slider. Loved that it came with sides as well. Will definitely order more from their menu whenever they are on out side of town. We arrived right before 5pm when it opened and there were already 4 people ahead of us before they even started taking orders. For only having 2 ppl in the truck, they moved pretty quickly, but by the time we got to the front of the line, there were at least 10 more groups of people behind us. In total we were there about 30 min outside from getting in line to getting our food. We had to get the favorites we've seen, so we got the crackin chicken cutty fries, the green chile burrito smothered, and a slice of Tiramisu. The fries and burrito were both so flavorful. The chicken in the burrito had such a great flavor to it by itself but the green chile was fantastic, a little spicier than I anticipated but mixed with the pinto beans it was such a good combination of spice, flavors, and just goodness. Everyone recommended getting it smothered with cheese sauce and green chile on top so we had to. Definitely found out why it was recommended *love* The fries, omg the fried chicken was so crispy, perfect seasoning on the breading, and the different sauces mixed with it... yup definitely tasty. Such a huge portion size, but they do offer upgraded chicken cutty fries as a side with the burrito to get the best of both and smaller portion. And the tiramisu..... *chefs kiss * it is my favorite dessert so I have high expectations... this hit the mark, and the slice was so massive!! I'm so happy I'll be able to eat on it for days!! Pricing for all of this plus the prickly pear cutty juice with pineapple (which was also very tasty and fresh) was over $60 so a little more expensive but lord, with the portion sizes and all the toppings it's totally worth it!!! We will be back! Just may go try the brick n mortar location bc it was extremely hot outside to be standing in line waiting after 5 pm. If the line was any longer we probably wouldn't have waited. The other locations are a lot farther from us so this was the best location wise. Also would be nice to open earlier, but may not be as easy to do in a food truck which is understandable.

For months I've seen The Spot To Eat truck parked next to the VA office on Palms Airport Drive for almost every other day for lunch. I couldnt find any Yelp listings and never thought of looking on Facebook. Until today when something in the office smelt good and I couldn't figure where it was coming from. At the truck, its a trailer pulled around by a truck, all the pictures and descriptions just blew my mind, I was excited and upset that it took me so long to finally try it. I saw and even smelt their Buffalo Chicken Salad and I wanted one but held off. I started asking other's what their favorites were and went with Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich and Crack Fries. It was delicious on its own and only $7 ($6 for the sandwich and $1 if you add fries). It was a fried chicken with Teriyaki sauce, pineapple, tomato, lettuce, and wasabi mayo between a roll, I mixed up some deli mustard and sriracha and added to the sandwich. Did I have a smile on my face? Yes. Ordering fries on their own are $3 and ordering almost any sandwich or burgers are $6. Delicious looking gourmet burgers at a reasonable price. Their trailer has a TV with sound. I usually see them during lunch at the VA Office near the airport but follow them on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/thespottoeat and Twitter https://twitter.com/TheSpotToEat to see all their pictures, menu, and where there going to be.
