This is one of the best Indian Restaurants in the are if not one of the best Indian restaurants I've eaten in. The decor is really light and vibrant, but not garish, which makes a difference from your run of the mill Indian restaurants, where it's either dark enough for you to mistake green chillies for green beans (which is obviously a joke played on the customers by the proprietors) but it's also not over the top purple and pink flamingo style.
Genuinely nice staff, Jay and Sam, who are simply great nice guys. They'll recognise you on the street and talk to you - you get that kind of personalised service.
Although they seem to have different chefs on different nights, the quality of the food is always spot on.
They are always willing to accommodate any dishes that you may request.
The Sunday buffet eat as much as you like makes a wwelcome change from cooking dinner sometimes. Unfortunately they are often prohibited from serving you 'the good stuff' because the culinary demands of your average person in Maesteg doesn't go far beyond chicken tikka lasagne.
My tips - you've got to eat chick peas when you go to the Indian, but when you order it, do not order the chickpea massala - order the chickpea bhoona.
