Bokhara was indeed voted Welsh Curry Restaurant 2009 and its website suggests one food critic rated it as one of the top ten in the UK. Driving out there doesn't feel like your going to an Indian as you come down the drive way up to the manor house. Yet the actual restaurant doesn't feel at all pretentious. Its Indian and Mediterranean so if someone in the group is adverse to the spice there is lot of other choice, especially fish. I went expecting a restaurant in a manor to cost an arm and leg and it really wasn't. In fact it was about the same price as our local, only even better taste. The chicken was so tender and the spices were so delicate and flavoursome. We went on a Saturday but apparently there is all you can eat buffet during the week so I might be checking that out very soon.

However recently it has been taken over by new management and has pretty much all new staff with the manager trying to oversee them all. They clearly were trying but got several orders for drinks wrong and took several attempts to order the food. Also they have redecorated in a way that although looking very good, having removed all the carpets and any kind of material to soak up the sound and as such when it is full it's very hard to hear and can be very echoey especially as the music is played to loud. Having said all this it was near the start of the new holiday season (this past summer) and it was a new management team and they were very apolegetic and had a good attitude giving us a drink on the house so hopefully by now they'll have all the teething problems sorted out.

The food here is pretty expensive with the exception of it being in a holiday place but overall I found the staff very polite, the appearance very nice and the food delicious.

For appetizers, we got he lamb samosa, which was pretty good and flavorful. For maincourse, we got the balti lamb and it was delicious. The lamb was tender and boneless (bonus for me). This is the first time I have had such good curry outside of India. I thoroughly enjoyed it even though I don't usually eat lamb. We also got the chicken biryani and it was pretty good too. This place definitely satisfied our craving for Indian food.

Drinks are a little pricey (hint cider is the best value) or go with a bottle of wine. Service at times does seem a little chaotic but nothing is a problem and gets dealt with. It has become our favourite local restaurant with an interesting menu which is far more varied than the usual curry house fare. The service is quick and friendly; the restaurant is itself is kept spotlessly clean. We can definitely recommend some of their specials and unusual dishes; chaft kuftis masala (with potato) is delicious; rezala is strips of chicken is a spicy tomato-based sauce, and molee is an interesting lemon and coconut dish. All a little bit different to the usual fare, although the BT will definitely serve an above-average chicken tikka masala or a vindaloo if you prefer! We have also found that the chef will cook a dish especially for you if there's something you'd like which isn't on their menu. Our only complaint is that the nature of the room means that loud groups tend to affect the ambience. So a yelling family with kids screaming can spoil an otherwise wonderful evening and unfortunately there do seem to be quite a few people who like to hold their conversations at full volume, and don't care much about the effect they have on other diners But overall, this is our favourite Indian restaurant in the Bude / Holsworthy area. 8/10

Wow, the gasp I just heard all over the Yelposphere was more than audible. Am I a traitor? *Awaits various Mancunian insults* Really, let's not get into any Gavin and Stacey-esque England vs Wales complexities here, we are one people, one island... Oh who am I kidding. Situated in the tiny seaside town of Tenby, the prices in this place are so criminally low that you wonder how the polite, friendly staff make a profit. There were many different options to choose from, all bargains and a good mix of UK-inspired dishes and more traditional fare. I had what was labelled a vegetable rogan and some aloo saag on the side to share. I'm not claiming to be a curry connoisseur or someone who knows the difference between genuine and faux ghee (join the debate here, people! http://www.yelp.co.uk/topic/manchester-yelp-come-dine-with-me) but I do know what I like, and that's a curry that's tasty, medium spiced, uses a good variety of vegetables in the non meat version and isn't swimming in a sea of suspicious-looking orange oil. That's just what I got here. The poppadoms we were provided with were bigger than Moonface's face from the Enchanted Wood/Faraway Tree saga. Oh, come on, Enid Blyton? You lot haven't lived. Well better than all this Twilight nonsense 'the kids' are into these days. The dips were divine, and as far as extras go the peshwari naan was just as delicious as a bit on the side should be. Meat-eaters were more than happy with their choices, but if you're a mild kind of child, don't opt for anything around the medium spectrum because it'll take your tastebuds clean off. The water flowed freely and they kept our BYOB drinks nice and cool. For a dinky place, it functions exceptionally well and I was more than impressed. In fact I left grudgingly, I felt so comfortable in there. Bay of Bengal, you've certainly curried favour with me. Can I bring you to Manchester so you can play with the big boys?
