Really? Not a single review? DCG has been at this location for almost a year now and it usually…read morepretty busy with a very loyal fan base so I'm shocked to be the first. FIRST! Now that I've gotten that out of my system... Full disclosure: I am biased. My partner Sean is the store manager and we are very good friends with the owner Phil. That being said, I've been to many a game store and I will be as object as possible with this review. DCG was formerly Troll Country Games at Hampden and I-25 but went under new ownership and moved to its current location shortly thereafter. The old location was in the basement of an office building, so the move to an actual retail space was a big improvement. Unlike many of the game stores around town that focus on selling food or retailing, DCG is set up to be a place for the gamer community to gather and spend time together. There's a small retail area that takes up about 1/3 of the total space and the rest of the store is tables with gamers playing miniatures, specialty board games, and of course Magic the Gathering, which is the biggest draw for the store and their primary focus. The first thing you'll notice when you go to DCG is that it is "no frills" - there are minimal decorations, the walls are white, and the tables and chairs are of the plastic fold up variety. That's about the only negative thing you can say about DCG. The selection of board games, cards, and miniatures is very good and they are happy to special order anything not in stock or keep their eye out for the card you are looking for. The staff are all incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and will not just make you feel like a valued customer but like a friend, a part of the community. I like to think of DCG as a "secular church" of sorts - a place where like minded people can to come together and stay as long as they want. DCG does TONS of in-store events and tournaments and encourages people to stay for hours on end. They've got a good selection of drinks and snacks that are cheap - $1-2 - and if you need something more substantial there's a new Arch Pizza that opened next door. If you're looking for a game store in your area that you can spend time at, make friends, and feel welcome, this is the place to be.

Which makes sense why the shop, aside from the people behind the counter, is COMPLETELY empty. Their prices are double what you can get product for almost anywhere else. From Thornton and their more popular shops (if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it), to Greely even Sterling. Some of the more well known shops near the Denver metro area and Jefferson County. Covering man of these shops some will take advantage of buy backs by saying they will do a 60% on cards they need, however that never seems to be case as only one shop I know of will keep their percentage the same and have a listing of the Cards their looking for; that's about the one and only thing this shop does ethically. Always up for discovering new shops as my buddy and I have been wanting to open our own much of my merchandise has come from ordering directly at a percentage to the co-owner of our soon to be shop. I discovered The Hobby Source by pure luck. Looked on Google for shops near me and having a place near and around Washington Park The Hobby Source was this small little shop right near Evans and I-25. At that time you couldn't fit more than five people in that shop, but call it Intuition selling to this shop was one of the best moves I could have made for my love of collecting! They moved to their new shop on Broadway and Quincy. Finding this Gem of a shop is one of the best thing I have done with my hobby. From (I don't know if they want their names all over this) the two gentlemen one adept to Sports Cards and Memorabilia and the other who is adept to Pokemon, MTG and both having knowledge in many other not so popular cards games. From the first people you meet going into that store to one of the most down to Earth Owners. Come to think of it I don't think I have ever met one of the owners personally come out and introduce himself. He never did it in a way to brag, but in a sincere and thankful manner that I never experienced before! Everyone associated with The Hobby Source have been AMAZING and if I could leave them 10 star I would. If collecting cards and wanting to start a collection absolutely check out this shop, you will not regret it!

Also prices for sealed are @ market and considering other stores in the area offer MSRP or at least in between MSRP and market there is no logic in buying sealed here unless you were going to buy off TCG player anyway. I will say the single selection for collecting specific cards is good, will only be shopping here for singles

That gave us plenty of time to locate and stop into a BAM - something which we love to do whenever we are on the road. We have been to several in Utah, Arizona, California, and Nevada before visiting this location. I had already checked out their social media accounts before we even left Arizona for the road. Terrific Instagram profile and activity. I had bookmarked this particular store because they really seemed like a family business. Several employees had December birthdays and the day we arrived they had some decorations up and were offering customers cake. I think they even said they had some ice cream available. Nice touch. Both employees we spoke with were super friendly and helpful. We took most of our time digging through their bulk bins which were full of loose Lego goodness. We looked around at their cases full of minifigs and my wife grabbed a few small animals and misc. Lego pieces. We also looked around the store at their prebuilt sets and boxed sets. Nicely laid out store and full of great Lego items. We took turns quickly using their bathroom to wash our hands from going through the bulk. We had a little discussion about birthdays. I believe the woman's birthday was one of those being celebrated and the man's birthday was July 4th. Fantastic visit. We will most definitely be back the next time we are in Denver. Highly recommend.

My experience with DJI customer service with a Flyaway case--CAS-19230357-B1Y0H0…read more The amount of kind but in the end meaningless words such as we are sorry, we understand and we will do the best, did not equate to the service provided and I am to elaborate. I invested into a number of DJI products including action 4 and action 5, Osmo 6, mini pro 4, integra goggles, Neo, and avata 2, also purchasing a 2 year fly away refresh program for the 3 drones. I liked the products and then the day came when one of them flew away, that was avata 2 and I had to deal with DJI customer service. It began with a representative who assisted me with extracting fly data from the integra goggles. We found out thru various legion of steps that the data was not synced between the avata 2 and the integra goggles. The rep came to conclusion that the only way to provide the proof of a downed avata 2, was to directly put the phone camera to the lenses of integra goggles and record the last view before avata 2 went down and provided me the link to submit it. I have submitted the video file as directed. Time passed and I contacted the chat support for progress update and was told that the previous rep was wrong and the solution that was provided is not good and we need to try data extraction again. So we went thru the step that were done with the previous rep again to no avail and next was to ship me an OTG cable. Time passed by and I received the cable and contacted DJI support again and we went thru the same step over again with no new solution. A rep asked me if I would ship the integra goggles to DJI to do that themselves and I shipped it to DJI for their expertise on extracting data. Next, I was contacted by DJI support and was told that they can't extract the data, what a surprise, however there is more. A DJI rep told me the integra goggles need to be repaired and I would have to purchase a new Avata 2, even though I have purchased the 2 year fly away refresh warranty. I have followed the directions of every rep to realize I am being pushed into buying another avata 2. Anyone considering investing into the DJI equipment will realize this too and await the DJI support to do the same to them if it would ever happen and the probability for this to happen, is very high and so is to be left to fend for yourself. The experience is my conclusion that even the DJI may be a giant in the drone industry, still has a long way to go to truly earn and keep the trust of their customers and to realize it is the customers that make a company successful. DJI customer support is more of a sales department and is interested in making profit and push people to buy new products rather than actually help to recover what is lost. It is vivid it is not about support, it is all about more purchases. The chance of a flyaway incident happening is high, and the likelihood that I will not get the support expected is even higher.
