**Caution Advised: A Disappointing Experience**
I feel compelled to share my experience at this establishment, which starkly contrasts the all the statement and claims they
made to me in advance of my actual experience with then..
Upon my arrival, I was assigned an instructor whose conduct was not only unprofessional but also insulting. During our two lessons, he frequently distracted himself with his cell phone, which detracted from the learning experience. When I asked questions to further my understanding, I was met with derogatory remarks, including being called "stupid" and "incompetent." He even discussed my performance in a disparaging manner with my assigned Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE), which I find completely unacceptable.
Moreover, this instructor made disparaging comments about a former student who had achieved professional success, labeling her as "weird" and implying she was undeserving due to her lesser flight hours. This behavior raises serious concerns about the culture of the training environment.
I also observed that two other students faced significant challenges: one had just failed his checkride for the second time, while another spent 18 hours in training--double the time advertised in the "accelerated package"--and all additional hours come at additional out of pocket cost--and admitted that he received a "free pass" on a maneuver during his checkride, indicating inadequate training to meet the Airman Certification Standards (ACS).
I was informed by my assigned instructor that I would likely need significantly more training hours than the 8.5 I had paid for, which contradicted the course's assurances; making it 3 for 3 on the day for failure to deliver as promised as per my watchful observations.
Alarmed by these red flags, I requested a refund for my unused hours, emphasizing that I could not continue learning under such disrespectful conditions; being called stupid will make a lot of students shut down. I know this I was a high school teacher. Unfortunately, my request has been met with resistance, despite the clear issues I faced.
Additionally, I have yet to receive the contact information for the business owner, despite multiple requests. To add to my frustration, I was threatened with another surprise $600 cancellation fee for the checkride, further demonstrating the lack of professionalism and transparency.
I strongly advise potential students to reconsider their options. The training quality and respect for students at this establishment do not align with the expectations set by its advertising. I believe there are far better choices available for your investment in flight training. read more
