I was drawn to Beth's artistic references to nature, and their execution.
So I bought four of her mixed media paintings from her, long ago during SF Open Studios.
They're small, so we've enjoyed having them arranged close to each other on our office wall. One shows a tiny nest containing two eggs; another is an abstract of semi-connected hexagons; the third features a print of a bird, and a textured floral pattern in one corner; the fourth depicts in paint what could be water pouring from an upper corner (a waterfall?) and some almost decipherable text in the opposite corner with tiny bits of found objects. (It fell down once, causing the corner to be slightly damaged, so I added a small metal figure, who happens to resemble an infant Poseidon with a sea monster, situated just above the water.) read more
