So my encounter with these people was very traumatic. The "man" saw me go in and out of my…read moreresidence and still towed my car. Wasn't offered a drop fee and said I can't get my car until Monday cause they're "closed on weekends" very shady. How you towing cars and holding them hostage when the money is there and ready? should not be towing if I can't get my car same day same hour. Worried about the wrong things commenting on my scarf and bonnet as pajamas while I'm an Afro-Caribbean is ridiculous and has nothing to do with my car. If I came out in a robe it still wouldn't matter again cause it has nothing to do with my car. I then paid my money come Monday and mr "man" threatened to keep my car until tomorrow. He think he king tut (negative starts was not an option.)

Refused to give me his name, demanded cash to drop my car, and when I asked for some time to find cash, he told me I better "hurry it up." Asked where they are located. He gave me a street name. I said I didn't know where that was and he rudely said "Smyrna, Delaware." Spoke to me like I was stupid. Called their number to speak with the owner, I spoke to dispatch who was very nice at first... and then when I asked for the drivers name, he also refused to give it to me. I asked for his name, he told me. Then I asked if the owners name was Matthew, he said no. It's Luke. Stated I would like to talk with him and asked what their business hours are. The dispatcher then said I could resolve my complaint with him and that I didn't need to contact the owner. I disagreed politely and told Steve I would rather contact the owner at this point. He then went on to say it's by appointment only and I'm not guaranteed to speak with the owner so I could talk to him. I declined. Will be following up for an appointment to speak with Luke. Terrible service.

1 STAR -- EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL…read more This place is extremely unprofessional. No one answers the phone, and the information they have listed online is inaccurate. I had just purchased a vehicle that is brand new to me. The seller drove the vehicle to my rental community, dropped it off, and removed their tags. The vehicle had not even been sitting there for two hours after the tags were removed before GIR Towing and Recovery came into my community and towed it. What concerns me even more is the way the vehicle was removed. Instead of placing the vehicle on a flatbed, they dragged it out of the community. I sincerely hope there is no damage to my vehicle because of the way it was towed. I work from home and began calling them at approximately 12:30 p.m. I continued calling and sending text messages throughout the entire afternoon until I got off work at 7:00 p.m. Not one person answered my calls or responded to my messages. The phone number they provide is a cell phone number with no voicemail box set up, so you cannot even leave a message. Their information online says they are open 24 hours, but when I physically went to the location at approximately 7:20 p.m., they were CLOSED. I was then told that they actually close at 5:00 p.m. So which is it? If you are not open 24 hours, your business information should not say you are. If customers cannot reach anyone by phone or text, those should not be advertised as reliable ways to contact the business. At minimum, there should be a working phone number, voicemail, accurate business hours, and some way for a person whose vehicle has been towed to actually reach someone. Now I have to go back this morning, and because their posted hours apparently aren't accurate, I don't even know what time they actually open. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. My biggest concern now is getting my newly purchased vehicle back and making sure there is no damage from the way it was removed and towed.
